Hisoka, hidden in the corner, chuckled coldly. 'Impressive, Loki. Three Troupe members injured—what excellent toys. Too bad my current target is Chrollo.' He raised his eyes to look at Chrollo, who was lost in thought. Hisoka drew a card—the Joker. 'It seems this date has a very high chance of success.'
Nobunaga spoke calmly, "Feitan, Phinks, calm down. The enemy is strong; fighting alone is a bad idea."
"He has flames, burns Nen, is incredibly fast, and possesses a mysterious reconnaissance ability, dodging attacks from blind spots. We need a plan," Nobunaga explained.
He raised a finger. "The battlefield was open, yet he dodged attacks from blind spots and didn't use Ken; it's likely some kind of perception ability."
This special reconnaissance ability couldn't be countered without understanding it.
"We don't know his ability, so we can't restrict it. Since we can't kill him unexpectedly, we must defeat him directly," Nobunaga said, looking at Phinks and Feitan. "Direct combat is risky; we should work together."
"Ignoring his ability, his Nen quality and quantity far surpass ours. We can't act recklessly; the chance of winning alone is only 5-20%."
Feitan and Phinks looked away, silent. Nobunaga smiled. Regardless of strategy, their mission had changed; whether they stayed in Yorknew City was uncertain. It depended on Chrollo's decision.
The mission failed; Uvogin was captured; the Troupe was severely injured. This was unprecedented.
Nobunaga looked at Chrollo. "Leader, what do we do?"
Everyone looked at Chrollo. Chrollo looked up.
"Flames are a strong ability. Interesting. He's a kid, yet he developed this ability. His talent and potential are monstrous. Such a person shouldn't be unknown."
"Should we investigate this kid?"
Chrollo nodded. "Yes, but I have a question."
"Machi, your intuition is accurate. Did you feel anything about him?"
Machi replied, "Yes. He's dangerous, but nothing else."
"Only danger?"
"Yes. I still feel that danger now." Machi glanced at Nobunaga and Feitan. "Leader, I think we should end this mission and leave Yorknew City."
"Machi! You want to abandon Uvogin?" Nobunaga shouted angrily.
"He's just injured. You think we're no match for a kid?"
"The Troupe suffered a huge defeat; we can't leave," Feitan and Phinks said.
'Leave?' Chrollo smiled faintly. 'Unless we get the auction items, we can't leave.' "I understand leaving, but Uvogin's captured, and the mission failed. We must complete it. The Troupe doesn't leave things unfinished, and we must know Uvogin's fate."
In a dark room, Loki looked at the bound Uvogin, then headed for the door. Baise's Nen was depleted; she couldn't maintain control much longer. The stronger the target, the more Nen she used. The effect was excellent, but the conditions were difficult.
Loki looked at Kurapika. "It's your turn!"
He left the room and closed the door. Baise needed to rest. He'd gotten information from Uvogin: the Troupe's location, their abilities. But when Loki asked about the Troupe's purpose, Uvogin said they didn't have one. Everything was Chrollo's will; they took what they wanted.
This wasn't surprising. Chrollo was the core; to complete the mission, he had to capture Chrollo.
His phone rang. It was Hisoka, inviting him to meet. The Troupe's return must have surprised Hisoka; Loki had injured three, including Feitan. Hisoka was probably eager to start his date with Chrollo.
Loki went to the living room; Dalzollene was gone.
"Where's our captain?" Loki asked.
Shachmono stood up, fearfully looking at Loki. "He... he went to contact someone to take the... auction attacker."
He was quick to take credit. But Kurapika entered, his face grim, his hands bloody.
"It's unnecessary," Kurapika said coldly. "Dispose of the bodies."
"Kurapika, let's go," Loki said. Kurapika nodded, seemingly understanding Loki's unspoken intentions.
After they left, the others relaxed.
"Loki is intense. Even knowing he wouldn't hurt me, I was nervous," Basho said, exhaling.
Shachmono nodded. "Yeah. Why is such a strong Nen user a bodyguard?"
Everyone wondered this, but no one dared to ask. Knowing less was safer.
Ivlenkov's phone rang. It was the mafia.
"Can't reach Dalzollene. What are you doing? What are the losses?"
Dalzollene had gone to get someone to take the captive. Everyone heard the call.
"Uh... I don't know. He said he'd contact you. Didn't you contact him?"
"No contact from Dalzollene. We don't have time for this now."
"The Shadow Beasts are all dead."
'What?!' Ivlenkov was stunned. The Shadow Beasts were the Ten Dons' elite. They were all dead? Six were still unaccounted for.
"Be careful. The enemy is strong. The Ten Dons are furious and offering a huge bounty. Your phones must be on. Got it?"
Ivlenkov hung up. Shachmono was incredulous. "The Shadow Beasts are all dead?"
Ivlenkov nodded. "Probably."
"The Shadow Beasts are gone, but Loki stopped them alone," Shachmono said.
"Loki's on a different level," Basho said.
Melody interrupted. "Where's the captain? Why can't we contact him?"
Loki and Kurapika drove off.
"Where are we going?" Kurapika asked.
"Hisoka invited me to meet."
Kurapika turned. "Hisoka?"
"Why did he invite you?"
Loki leaned back. "He probably wants to start his date with Chrollo after seeing me injure three."
"A date? With Chrollo?"
Kurapika's eyes narrowed. A strong Hisoka and a terrifying Loki—Kurapika had high hopes for revenge.
They arrived at a deserted amusement park. They parked far away and walked to avoid attention. The moonlight illuminated the ground. They stopped before a large carousel.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh! Sounds of rushing wind.
Loki raised his hand; playing cards fell. Kurapika released his chains.
Hisoka, descending rapidly, slashed at Loki's throat with playing cards.
Boom boom! Loki grabbed Hisoka's wrists.
