On a certain day, after the incident, or might say "treasured discovery". I realized that I'm still lacking the skills and talent to go against that ominous aura that entity has, so I decided to increase my strength and train nonstop just to hone my whole body and to prepare it for the distant future. But not always, peace is kept in place.
Father has been overly conscious of matters of the state and current standing in the royal court. I heard that there was a recent massacre or rampage of certain high-class monsters, bringing danger to the people. I often saw Father roaming around aimlessly inside the manor. I asked him about his recent concerns, but he simply brushed me off, saying that this was not meant for kids to intervene. I pouted and left him alone with his whatever matters.
Then one day out of the blue, the duke of House Alistar sent a message, wanting to meet in person and discuss certain matters. It must be urgent, after all, he sent it last night bearing his glorious sigil with a side note. Of course, I'm no eavesdropper, so I didn't get what was written in there. I never have any interest in nobility nor politics, so I simply brushed it off as nothing and went about my usual routine, and that is, to work myself to the bone.
On the road to Emberhart Manor. "Why must I be part of this, Father?" the elegant, pure, silk-skin, and beautiful maiden, sitting on a carriage adorned with silver and gold all over it. Across from her is the Duke of House Alistar, her Father. Velion Von Alistar, with his third daughter, Lady Rosalene Von Alistar. The one who was complaining about being part of this political mess.
"Don't frown, sweetheart. I'm sure you'll like it there, you can roam around the manor while the archduke and I discuss some matters, okay?" trying to please his pouting daugther, As you can see, he is a doting father.
"Hmp, fine, they better have something that can entertain me," she scowls, crossing her arms while looking out the window. Shortly after, they arrived at the manor, where they were greeted by the archduke himself.
"Ah, I thought you wouldn't come. Nice to see you, Duke Velion," smiled at him, showing a greeting of respect to the opposite party. The duke and his daughter came out of the carriage, where Duke Velion shook hands with Archduke Leo, while Rosalene stayed behind his father, not showing any disrespect.
"Nice to see you again as well, Archduke Leo," he smiled at him. "Oh, by the way, this is my daughter." gesturing for Rosalene to introduce herself.
She bowed gracefully, showing respect and courtesy. "I am Rosalene Von Alistar, the third daughter of Duke Velion Von Alistar." She bowed once more and lifted her head. "It's nice to meet you, Archduke Leo," She smiled at him.
"You taught your daugther well, Velion," he laughed while tapping his shoulder. Velion smiled and asked Leo. "By the way, where's your son?" asks Velion while looking around.
"My two sons aren't here; they're at the capital now," Leo coldly replied.
"Then, where's your third son?" asked Velion out of curiosity.
"I dunno where he is, maybe in the forest or the training grounds, that child couldn't be kept in one place," Leo replied why shaking his head sideways.
"He is a curious brat, but aren't you giving him too much freedom?" Velion replied while giving a smile. Leo sighed and shook his head.
"Well, I couldn't do much, I left him all on his own because of paperwork, so when he came home late at night, I was shocked, no, we were shocked as to what he brought along with him". I sighed once more, remembering that night.
"What? Did he bring a strange plant with him? Don't tell me he tamed a monster?" I couldn't help but laugh a little, but Leo's serious expression gave shivers down my spine.
"Don't tell me....did he.... Tamed a beast?" My shocked expression was not something Leo saw on the first time, but his nod of assurance gave a certain heavy vibe to me.
"How old is he now?" determined to know, because I couldn't believe it if he were alone roaming around in that forest and even brought a tamed beast.
Leo sighed, "He is only 7 years old. Why?" he gave a questioning expression, How am I supposed to believe that? So I asked him again, but he gave me that serious nod once more.
Leo smiled, seeing my shocked state, "Why don't we go inside first? Oh, and Rosalene, guide your father, he might stumble," I smiled while walking inside. Even Rosalene was shocked by this, but she still followed suit and guided her father to avoid being injured.
Leo guided them to his study room, where he gestured for them to sit and signaled for Norm, the head butler, to prepare some drinks and treats for the guests. Norm was about to leave, but he was called out by Leo.
"Do call my youngest son here, Norm," Leo commanded him, and in turn, Norm nodded and left the room.
"Shall we discuss that matter?" Leo started the conversation right off the hook, while Rosalene stayed in the corner, keeping her mouth shut and drinking some tea.
"About the massacre at the Western Front?" Velion confirmed the request, and Leo nodded. Velion sighed and leaned on the couch while sipping his tea.
"It's complicated as always, Leo." He sets his cup down, looking at Leo's expression, knowing that he will ask what he means. Velion immediately added."No one knew the source, nor the person behind it, so it's still a mystery,"
