Alice jolts awake and feels immense pressure on her head. She reaches up and realizes she's wearing a VR headset. But why..? She can't take it off. Right... she was supposed to teleport somewhere else. The VR headset was meant to bring her to the right location. How long had she been in there? Four or five years? She looks around in confusion and notices she's tied to a pole. Then the VR headset lifts from her face. "Welcome, little thief."
Yowie wakes up with a start and looks around. His head feels heavy. Then it all becomes clear—what this was all about. He's tied up too! He tries to free himself but hears a familiar giggle. It sounds like Cato's. The VR headset comes off, and there stands Cato with a big flag behind her. HAP: Help All Humans. MKP's biggest enemy—and Cato had always been a member.
"We need to be well prepared," says Daniel, grabbing some throat lozenges and stuffing them into his pocket. The HAP uniform is a dark green jumpsuit. Everyone's wearing one. Everyone? Not Daphne. She's always been stubborn like that. "Welcome, little thief." Daphne is standing across from Alice. Daphne has dark blonde hair, usually wears oversized glasses on her head, and has a mischievous smile. Striking makeup. You wouldn't guess it, but she has a twin sister—Lisa. Lisa always wears comfy clothes and sits in her swivel chair behind giant screens. Alice looks around and sees Lisa in a black tank top and comfy black leggings. She recognizes her—she's argued with her before.
Then the door slams open. "Prisoner four is awake," says Cato, folding her arms. "Good. Prisoner zero too," Daphne replies. Melody bursts in. "Are they here?" she asks excitedly. "They're all here," Lisa grins. She sits back down at her computer and starts typing away cheerfully.
"Let me go," Alice says, irritated. She knows she's considered the villain, but it's for a good cause. Not that they see it that way—it just is. "We won't let you go," mumbles Lisa, absorbed in her computer again. Then she spins in her swivel chair toward the door. "I need brownies," she mutters. As she glides out the door on her chair, Alice knows it. This is her chance to escape.
