🟦 Part One – Kalidor
The air wasn't colder than yesterday...But he felt as if the air refused to enter his lungs.
At the edge of the stone corridor in the gray wing,Kalidor sat alone. No book,No sword,And no one passing by to even ask, "Are you still here?"
Since his talk with his sister...He realized that wounds make no sound when they're close to the heart.
He remembered her sentence,Not as words spoken...But as a scar engraved within him in an unreadable language.
He grabbed an old notebook of his,One he hadn't written in for months,And opened to a page in the middle.
He wrote in unclear handwriting:
"Everyone around me expects me to prove something...But I alone, no longer expect anything."
Then he closed the notebook,And placed it under the bench.
He stood up,And walked toward a window overlooking the stone courtyard,Where snow had started to accumulate.
He knew no one would come.
Yet,He stayed standing...As if someone inside him was still waiting.
🟪 Part Two – Elyana
In the royal wing,Elyana sat at the edge of her bed.
Lin was asleep,But she was not.
Her eyes were fixed on the ceiling,The blanket folded tightly over her legs.
She didn't fully understand what had happened,But she felt a heaviness she had never known before.
"I shouldn't have said that…"
She said it to herself,Then put the pillow over her face as if she wanted to hide from her own words.
She remembered Kalidor's gaze.
It wasn't a look of anger...But as if he never really knew her.
She recalled what Lin said before falling asleep:
"He's your only brother, Elyana...And no one will stand by you the way he might."
But... was that sentence true?Or just an attempt to soothe a small struggle inside a child who didn't yet understand everything?
**
She got up from the bed,Walked quietly to the window.Looked toward the far side of the academy,Where she knew the gray wing was located.
She saw nothing.
But she whispered, as if the wind might hear:
"I wish... I were a better sister."
**
Then she returned...And hid under the covers,And all that was in her heart...A wish she didn't know how to say.
✅ End of Chapter Ten – "Invisible Cracks"
Afterword
Dear readers, I would like to share some updates regarding my story on the Webnovel platform. Unfortunately, my contract request was rejected because the story does not align with the interests of the Webnovel audience or the platform's direction.
Therefore, we will not continue in the same way as before, where chapters were long and sometimes exceeded 6000 words. For this reason, I have decided to reduce the length of the chapters and speed up the pace of events a bit, while searching for a suitable point to end the current season in a way that complies with the rules of Webnovel and its audience.
For those who enjoy the story and do not want it to end so quickly, I reassure you that I will work in the future on a complete continuation, taking into account the platform's conditions and audience.
Currently, I admit that I have lost some of the passion for writing, so the quality of events might be somewhat lower, and the story will progress at a more concise pace.If you want the story to be longer and of higher quality, your support is the motivation for me to complete the story better. Support on the Ko-fi platform is simple, and you can contribute between $1 to $3, either as a one-time or monthly donation, which encourages me to continue and add more content.
My future plans include creating a subscription system on Ko-fi that will allow you to receive PDF volumes with illustrations, music albums related to the story, character profile cards, and exclusive side chapters for subscribers.
For those who do not wish to subscribe, I will offer these contents as standalone downloadable products.
Thank you all for your follow-up and support. The story has gained a good number of views in this short period, all thanks to your encouragement and interest.
If you'd like to support me and help continue the story with better quality and more content, you can do so here:[https://ko-fi.com/baggysama]
