Chapter 61 - Chapter 61: Monster Among Monsters

Boom—!

The moment Fei Wangfang moved, the ground shattered, dirt flying everywhere. His speed was incredible, opening with the Niko Style's essence.

Niko Style: Katon Form—Fire Run, a footwork move as agile and unpredictable as fire.

Fei Wangfang circled Gusion at high speed, leaving afterimages like flickering flames.

At the instant he thought Gusion exposed a weakness, he closed in with Niko Style: Kongou Form—Iron Break, hardening his arms and unleashing six consecutive punches.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang—!

The air exploded at each impact, blasting dust across the arena.

"Oh—this is a superhuman clash, too fast for the eye to follow! Fei Wangfang, A-class fighter from Purgatory, is actually threatening the Fang of Metsudo!?"

Sayaka provided commentary from the booth. "No! The Fang of Metsudo blocked this relentless assault! Facing Fei Wangfang's berserk stance, he took every blow—should we say he's superhuman too?"

The arena was at its peak excitement—this was the highest-level match in days.

The fighters in the stands looked grim—even the man with the most wins in Kengan matches, Wakatsuki Takeshi with 52x muscle density, frowned. He felt Fei Wangfang's strength was now on par with his, but Fei's agility and technique were beyond him.

If he fought Fei Wangfang, he'd struggle—unless Fei foolishly engaged in a pure power contest, in which case Wakatsuki might win with his special move, Blast Core.

What shocked the fighters was that Fei Wangfang in Divine Demon mode was absurdly strong, with no weak points in speed, strength, or technique.

But even with his desperate assault, Fei Wangfang couldn't hurt his opponent at all.

That's right—the man named Gusion, the new Fang of Metsudo, blocked everything with ease!

His purple-black eyes seemed to see through all of Fei Wangfang's moves and counter them.

Sometimes, it even looked like Gusion raised his hand before Fei Wangfang threw his punch.

"The level is just different…"

The Thai God of War, Kaolan Wongsawat, said solemnly. "Fei Wangfang's every move is seen through."

"It's like monsters fighting, and this Fang of Metsudo is a monster among monsters."

Wakatsuki Takeshi said.

Under everyone's gaze, the battle lasted over three minutes. Fei Wangfang was already at his limit.

After one exchange, he staggered back, gasping for air. Even with his special body, Divine Demon mode was at its limit—pushing further meant death.

"Your Niko Style is impressive—the highest completion I've seen so far."

Gusion commented, his palms red. Blocking all Fei Wangfang's moves wasn't as easy as it looked.

In Divine Demon, Fei's stats even edged out his normal state, and his attacks were masterful—his fighting skill was at master level, and his strikes weren't easy to neutralize.

Gusion judged Fei was at his limit; any more would kill him, so he decided to end it.

Thinking this, he moved under Fei Wangfang's nervous gaze.

For the first time, Gusion attacked!

Fei Wangfang watched closely—then his eyes widened. Even with Fallen Demon slowing time, he barely caught Gusion's movement.

Gusion suddenly accelerated, closing the distance.

His martial instinct told Fei Wangfang a punch was coming; he wanted to use Niko Style: Flow Form—Willow, to redirect the blow.

But he realized that would be suicide—Gusion's mastery of force flow was unparalleled.

He made the right choice by instinct.

With Divine Demon's boost, he used Niko Style: Kongou Form—Indestructible to harden his defense and counterattacked with Iron Break toward Gusion's chin.

Boom—!

The sound of a fist colliding with chest was inhuman. Fei Wangfang tightened his muscles with Indestructible defense, but the punch hitting him shone with a dark gleam.

Their strength was similar—Fei was even slightly stronger now—but he felt an overwhelming force crash into him, unbalancing him, and preventing his punch from landing on Gusion. Gusion pressed forward, easily parrying Fei's Iron Break, then delivered six straight punches to Fei's vital points.

Each punch was plain but solid, sending Fei Wangfang coughing blood.

As Fei staggered, Gusion twisted his waist and delivered a fierce roundhouse kick to Fei's temple.

Like a soccer ball, Fei Wangfang flew dozens of meters and crashed into the arena wall, leaving a human-shaped dent.

Fei slid down from the cracked wall, unconscious.

"It's decided!"

The referee and Sayaka shouted, and the crowd erupted, chanting Gusion's name—they had witnessed the birth of a new invincible legend.

Gusion dusted himself off and walked toward the contestant tunnel. He could hardly wait to harvest more.

The Mazuko in his storage space was itching for more.

Come on, Worms, show yourselves—bring me more fun.

These matches were boring, but soon he'd face Kuroki Gensai—a worthy martial arts contest.

...

"Fei Wangfang actually lost, and Gusion looked unruffled. That's not good news."

Edward Wu said with a smile—though he claimed it was bad news, he didn't seem nervous.

After all, as the strongest Wu Hei and leader of the Westward Faction, he believed that aside from Shen Wulong, no one was stronger than him.

"Fei Wangfang was still young, but even in Divine Demon mode, he lost completely. I'm surprised."

The Other Niko frowned at the screen. "Gusion might be an obstacle."

"No matter."

The handsome man with the pipe on the sofa spoke slowly. "I'll take care of it."

"Oh? Xia Yan, you haven't fought in ages. Are you still up for it?"

The Other Niko looked interested. As senior officers under Shen Wulong, he and Edward Wu worked in the field often, but Xia Yan was more of a babysitter.

Mostly, he accompanied Shen Wulong for meals, drinks, and fun. Everyone knew Xia Yan hadn't neglected his martial arts, but he hadn't fought in years.

"Don't worry. I've seen Gusion's file—he's only in his early twenties. No matter how talented, he can't beat us. If I make a move, I'm sure I can kill him."

Xia Yan said. "Remember, we're not fighters."

The Other Niko and Edward Wu grinned. Yes, they weren't fighters—they were here to destroy the Kengan Association.

They'd use any means necessary, and even the best fighter was no match for their killing techniques.

As they talked, Xia Yan's phone rang. He answered impatiently, "You'd better not be lying. Otherwise, even if you run to the ends of the earth, I'll kill you."
