IMARA'S POV
The carriage wheels crunched against gravel as we pulled up to the Ireshi estate. The sun was beginning to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple. I stepped out and looked up at the house before me. It was impressive, but nothing like what I had just left. The columns were marble, yes, but shorter. The gardens were well-maintained but simpler. Everything about this place spoke of established wealth rather than the overwhelming opulence of House Sedimo.
I walked up the stone steps to the main entrance, my stomach twisted in knots. A servant opened the door before I could knock.
"Good evening," I said, keeping my voice steady. "I am Luna Imara, a competitor in the Luna Trials. I would like to see the Lord of the house."
The servant bowed respectfully. "Of course, Luna Imara. Please, follow me."
