Chapter 82 - The World That Trembles

The Cardinal World was bleeding. The skies groaned with divine pressure. From every corner of the land, angelic armies rained down like a second apocalypse. But behind it all, cloaked in white lies and pure malice, was one orchestrator: Feldway.

Inside the command room, Yuuki stood at the center of a glowing spell circle. His eyes were empty, consumed by the divine influence of Feldway. Kigali, Laplace, Tear, and Footman stood silently before him.

"The time is now," Yuuki said, his voice distorted. "Go."

Kigali narrowed her eyes.

"Go where? You haven't explained a damn thing."

"You have your roles. Each of you must reach your designated points. Should the primary spell fail... you will activate your runes. Together, they will complete the grand spell. The one that will bring absolute control over the Cardinal World."

Footman grinned maniacally.

"Sounds fun. Hehehe... let's shake things up."

Tear gave Yuuki a look of suspicion.

"You're not the same... but orders are orders."

They vanished into shadow and space. Watching them go, Feldway smirked through Yuuki's eyes.

"If that spell fails... this one won't. Even Yujiro won't escape this time."

The cathedral bells of Ruberios screamed as Seraphs descended in blinding waves.

Luminous Valentine danced through the chaos. Her crimson blade ripped wings from angels, her dress flowing like a veil of blood.

"I will not let this city fall!"

Beside her, Hinata Sakaguchi led the charge with the Holy Paladins and Ruberios' elite.

"Shields up! Hold the line! Push them back!"

Above them, six angels hovered in precise formation. Their halos turned black, eyes glowing like suns.

They chanted.

A glyph, ancient and cosmic, expanded above the capital.

The Spell of Dominion had begun.

Hinata fell to her knees.

"What... is this power?!"

Luminous screamed, blood pouring from her mouth.

"It's... invading my soul!"

Louis guided children into shelters below the city. When he looked back, Luminous was frozen, eyes dull.

Hinata fought it—but even her divine strength faltered.

A dome of light fell over Ruberios.

Luminous and Hinata had fallen.

Thunder cracked as Draguel hurled lightning into the sky, vaporizing angels in his rage. Glassord split the earth, and the earth responded with mountains of fire.

Giants roared behind them, battling for survival.

High above, Dino stood atop a jagged stone spire.

A glowing sigil hovered in front of him, pulsating.

Feldway's voice echoed through his mind:

"Activate it now."

Dino hesitated.

"...Sorry, guys. This is above me."

He touched the glyph.

A wave of golden energy erupted.

Draguel gasped.

"What is this?!"

His knees buckled. Glassord fell to one hand.

"Our power... it's being drained... No! It's worse. It's being caged!"

Every giant collapsed. Not dead—enslaved.

Their aura vanished. Their minds silenced.

Feldway nodded.

"Perfect."

Guy Crimson stood at the edge of a battlefield buried in snow and fire.

Velzard was a frozen tempest, spinning and cleaving through Seraphs.

Rain and Misery rallied the demon troops, chanting spells that shattered angelic formations.

Then, twelve angels stopped midair, forming a perfect cube.

They raised their arms.

The cube lit up in dark gold. And then came the whisper:

"Submit."

Guy felt it instantly.

"This... isn't just mind control. It's soul binding!"

Velzard staggered.

"It's divine law."

Guy's memories of the Labyrinth roared back. Yujiro's fists. His screams. The impossible trials.

He clenched his teeth and shouted:

"I... AM... GUY CRIMSON!"

A shockwave of pure will burst from him, shattering the glyphs.

Velzard followed suit, her aura becoming an unbreakable storm.

Rain and Misery struggled, crying in pain.

"I won't... I won't be used...!"

They roared, their aura igniting, and the spell broke.

Far above, Feldway hissed.

"Tch... I knew it wouldn't be that easy."

Milim Nava was an unchained beast. A tempest of destruction.

Angels disintegrated as her fists struck. Their screams were lost in her thunder.

Middray followed behind, shielding civilians.

Then, Feldway gave the order.

Angels formed a ring above Milim.

The spell activated.

For a moment, Milim paused.

"Hm? What is this tingling?"

The air warped. The spell clamped down.

And then she blinked.

"Oh. You guys think that can stop me?"

Her aura flared—pure chaos, ancient and infinite.

The spell shattered.

"Nice try though," she smiled. "But Yujiro trained me hard."

Obera watched through a magic window.

"That training... it wasn't normal."

Zalario nodded.

"Yujiro molded them in ways we didn't expect."

Rimuru, Veldora, Diablo, Benimaru, and the other generals stood atop a mountain of broken angels.

The skies above Tempest were painted with fire and gold.

Souei landed beside Rimuru.

"The citizens are safe. All are in the Labyrinth."

Rimuru nodded.

"Where's Yujiro?"

Souei looked to the hill.

"Meditating. No angel dares approach."

Suddenly, the spell activated.

A golden eye opened in the sky above Tempest.

Veldora groaned.

"What is this...."

Rimuru stood still. The pressure was immense. Like a god whispering directly into his soul.

"Kneel..." the voice said.

Rimuru narrowed his eyes.

"I don't kneel to anyone."

The air cracked. His aura flared. Diablo followed, laughing darkly.

The spell disintegrated like ash.

Rudra and Velgrynd still fighting the angels. Flames and steel danced below.

The spell activated without warning.

It was immediate.

Velgrynd screamed, clutching her head.

Rudra collapsed.

Their soldiers dropped their weapons.

Angels stopped fighting—they began glowing.

Then Rudra's voice returned, but it was not his own.

"I see now. We were never meant to win."

Both were gone.

Feldway marked them.

"Controlled."

Rimuru reached out.

"Guy, are you also under attack?"

"Yes, we are under attack by some angels and they even tried to control us with a Dominion spell"

"Still here. Spell failed. Barely."

"Milim?"

"Still standing! I'll crush them all!"

Rimuru waited.

No reply from:

Luminous

Draguel

Rudra

Velgrynd

Leon

Frey

Carrion

Guy growled.

"This is worse than we thought."

Rimuru:

"Come to Tempest. We need to regroup."

Guy and milim nodded.

The Harlequin Alliance reached their places.

Kigali. Laplace. Tear. Footman.

Each stood before a black monolith, etched with celestial runes.

Waiting for the signal.

Waiting to trigger the final spell.

The World-Domination Cascade.

And deep atop the hill in Tempest, eyes still closed, Yujiro Hanma whispered:

"I can feel it... the world is trembling. But you made one mistake, whoever you are."

"You forgot that I'm still here."

The battlefield was in shambles. Towers crumbled, flames raged across the capital. Seraphs and angels continued their hymn of conquest, glowing in celestial brilliance above the shattered city.

Velgrynd, crimson-scaled and barely holding onto her core, hovered amidst the destruction. Her breath was ragged, her golden eyes dimming—still trying to resist the spell that had chained her mind.

A halo shimmered above her head. Not divine. Not natural. It was a manifestation of Feldway's domination, twisting her consciousness to his will. Her wings flared once, then folded. She turned toward the east.

From the ground, a squadron of angels approached, carrying Feldway's sigil. One bowed.

Seraph Commander: "Mistress Velgrynd… the Lord calls for you."

Velgrynd didn't respond. She simply vanished into a pillar of red-gold light, streaking toward the skies like a comet heading for her new master.

From afar, Rudra, shackled by ethereal chains and barely clinging to lucidity, whispered, "Vel… grynd…"

His eyes shut, and he was lost to Feldway's influence once more.

Dark clouds loomed over the skies of Tempest, but inside the capital's throne room, the tension was far heavier than the weather.

A large circular table sat at the heart of the crystalline hall. Around it stood some of the mightiest beings the world had ever known.

Rimuru Tempest, ruler of Tempest, radiant and thoughtful.

Guy Crimson, arms crossed, his aura flickering with infernal power.

Velzard, sitting beside her brother, her breath icy cold and calculating.

Rain and Misery, still bruised but regathered, standing dutifully beside Guy.

Milim Nava, fist on her hip, hair wild, eyes glowing with a fury barely restrained.

Veldora, perched dramatically on a beam overhead, munching on chips, as if unaware of the growing doom.
