The battlefield was silent.
The sky had stopped burning. The cursed king was sealed. The Hollow One was dead.
But the moon still glowed unnaturally bright. Silver light dripped from it like tears, falling softly on the wounded ground. The air shimmered. Something magical was happening.
Elder Vaughn looked up. "Selene is near," he whispered.
Everyone felt it, the pull of something divine. A calling. Those with magic, those connected to the Moon Goddess, stood still. Aria, Dax, Rael, and Kael, resting weakly. Serana, kneeling beside him. Ren. Lyra. Liora. Alpha Throne. Alpha Calista. Beta Wayne and Beta Rayne. Elder Vaughn and even Moira, in-between life and death. All of them felt the shift.
Then, the world stopped.
Time froze.
Only those mentioned could move.
A beam of silver stardust spiraled down from the sky like a waterfall of light. It touched the earth gently, then bloomed.
Selene appeared.
