Chapter 46: Each employs their own methods.

Chasel Mills suddenly widened his eyes, holding his breath.

He gently pulled his right hand away from Michelle Allen's chest, then slowly lifted her long leg that was resting on his lap, trying to place it on the other side without waking her up.

However, just as Chasel was carefully moving Michelle's leg, she suddenly opened her beautiful eyes.

Her initially hazy gaze turned sharp as she noticed Chasel's actions.

"Shh! Don't wake Belle!"Chasel quickly covered Michelle's lips with his hand.

"It's not what you think. I woke up to find you lying in my arms again. I just wanted to move your leg off me," he whispered, deliberately avoiding mentioning that his hand had been on her chest earlier.

Despite his explanation, Michelle glared at Chasel with a fierce expression, as if she wanted to skin him alive.

Chasel awkwardly smiled.

He quickly rolled out of bed and left the bedroom.

Michelle remained lying on the bed, her face flushed, wide awake and unable to sleep.Wake up, freshen up, go for a morning run!

Even while staying at Michelle Allen's house, Chasel Mills stuck to his routine.

When he returned from his run, Michelle and Belle were already up.

Michelle was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for Belle.

Even now, as they sat down to eat, there was a hint of embarrassment and anger on Michelle's fair face.

Meanwhile, the formidable Northern Commander, Aurelian Mills, who struck fear into his enemies and commanded respect from surrounding nations, was quietly eating his meal, avoiding eye contact with the woman across from him.

If the powerful figures in the world knew that Aurelian Mills could show such a "timid" side, they would surely be shocked.

After breakfast, Chasel Mills and Michelle Allen took Belle to school.

Only then did they part ways.

Michelle headed to work at the office, while Chasel returned to his residence at Fragrant Garden Villa.

"Any news from the Shen family?" Chasel asked Suzaku as he settled in.

"None," Suzaku replied. Suzaku shook his head. Ever since Chasel Mills injured Clark Sims yesterday, he had sent someone to keep an eye on the Shen family.

"They're smart enough to know when to back off," Chasel Mills said, a faint smile playing on his lips.

At the same time, a tall and perfect figure flashed through his mind. "What will you donext? I'm really looking forward to it!"

Sitting on the sofa in the living room, Chasel closed his eyes and pondered for a moment.

Before long, he opened his eyes. "Suzaku, send someone to the hospital to keep an eye on Clark Sims," he instructed.

"Understood!" Suzaku replied without hesitation and sent out the command.

After executing the order, Suzaku turned to Chasel Mills, curiosity evident in his expression. "Aurelian, do you think Charlotte Walker will go after Clark Sims and frame you for it?"

Chasel tapped his fingers lightly on the sofa, a smile lingering on his lips. "If it were theCharlotte Walker from five years ago, she probably wouldn't do that. But the Charlotte of today has the guts to pull it off."

Chasel Mills spoke as if answering Suzaku, but it felt more like he was talking to himself. If the Chasel Mills of five years ago had encountered the current Charlotte Walker, he wouldn't have ended up in prison. Instead, he might have been eliminated entirely!

Back then, Charlotte wasn't as ruthless or as mature as she was now.

"Charlotte Walker, oh Charlotte Walker, it's a pity that you're not the same person you used to be, and neither am I. You could never imagine the kind of existence you're facing now!"Chasel Mills was determined not only to reclaim everything he had given Charlotte but also to make her feel despair bit by bit. No matter what methods she employed, in the end, they would all be futile in front of him. She would have to watch helplessly as everything she held dear slipped away, piece by piece. And no matter how many cards she played, she would find herself powerless!

Meanwhile, within the Walker family, Charlotte Walker, who was preparing to leave, suddenly sneezed, a sense of foreboding creeping into her heart. Her brows furrowed in concern.

After a moment of thought, Charlotte took out her phone and dialed a number. The recipient was none other than Clayton Cain."How's it going with Sebastian Sims?" Charlotte Walker asked.

"It's all set!" Clayton Cain replied.

"Great, I'm heading to the hospital now." With that, Charlotte hung up the phone.

She was on her way to Verdant City Hospital to visit Clark Sims. After all, Clark had been injured because he stood up for her against Chasel Mills. If she didn't go, it would make her seem heartless and ungrateful.

Moreover, Charlotte's real purpose for visiting was to help Sebastian Sims set the stage for his revenge.

Five years ago, when Chasel Mills went to prison, ordinary people might not have known the details, but for a powerful family like the Shens, it was common knowledge.

After Charlotte's rise to prominence, her past hadthe details, but for a powerful family like the Shens, it was common knowledge.

After Charlotte's rise to prominence, her past had surely been uncovered by the wealthy families in Verdant City. A simple inquiry would reveal who Chasel Mills was and the history between them.

Now, by visiting Clark Sims and showing him special concern, she could provide Chasel Mills with enough reason to seek revenge against Clark.

After all, Chasel Mills had plenty of reasons to hate Charlotte Walker.

If Sebastian Sims sent someone to kill Clark Sims and framed Chasel Mills for it, it would be much more believable.

Killing two birds with one stone!

Not only would it showcase her loyalty, but it would also trap Chasel Mills in an irreversible situation.

With this thought, a confident smile crept onto Charlotte Walker's lips.

It was charming, yet also quite sinister!

...

Verdant City Hospital.

VIP Ward.

Clark Sims lay on the hospital bed, his arms and legs encased in casts. He couldn't move at all.

Even speaking was a struggle.

Pearl Nguyen was by his side, trying to feed him some porridge.

However, Clark Sims refused to eat.

"Clark, just eat a little, or your body won't be able to handle it," Pearl urged, her heart aching for him.

Since childhood, she had always pampered Clark, and even though she knew he had many health issues, she never blamed him as long as he was happy.

At that moment, seeing her son in such a state, Pearl Nguyen felt both heartbroken and filled with hatred for Chasel Mills.

"Why won't you help me get revenge? Why won't you help me get revenge?" Clark Sims struggled to say, his teeth clenched tightly.

"I want him to die without a grave," Clark's eyes were filled with resentment. "No, I want his entire family to die. I won't let a single one of them escape."

Pearl quickly tried to comfort him, "Clark, once you get better, I promise I'll help you get your revenge. I won't let a single one of them go. But first, can you please eat something?"

However, Clark Sims refused to eat. Not only that, but he looked at Pearl with eyes full of hatred. "If you're not going to help me get revenge, then just get out."

Pearl was taken aback.

Her hatred for Chasel Mills and his family only grew stronger. She even made up her mind that even if Mason Sims didn't send anyone to take action, she would find a way to eliminate Chasel Mills and his family herself. She needed to avenge her son. But for now, she had to make sure Clark ate something.

Just then, a voice came from the doorway of the hospital room, "Mrs. Pearl, let me feed him."

At the sound of the voice, both Pearl Nguyen and Clark Sims turned to look.

At the entrance of the hospital room, a tall and curvy figure appeared.

At that moment, her face bore a rare softness.
