Chapter 66 - Arc 2 - Chapter 15 | Samantha Inheritance

Chapter 15: | Samantha's Inheritance

---

Pain struck my body as an unknown force invaded it.

I couldn't help but hiss as my vines bulged and darkened.

But it was useless, as the Harbinger of Myth awakened.

Like a god angered at the intrusion of a mere ant into its divine kingdom, it devoured the force.

Samantha was shocked as she regained control of her bloodlust.

It was easy to tell, the light from Samantha's eyes darkened when she tried to convert me into something.

"Samantha, what's wrong with you?"

Samantha covered her mouth with her dainty hands, lowered her gaze, and explained.

"It's an instinct deeply engraved in a newly converted vampire, to bite and suck the blood of someone."

Her body trembled, her irises turned crimson red as she opened her mouth and sank her fangs into my neck again.

Then she began to suck my blood, and I gently patted her hair.

I felt her stop for a moment as she fidgeted.

"Don't worry, Samantha, everything is fine."

I calmed her as Samantha continued, vigorously sucking my blood.

I could hear her muffled moans, I could tell she was in ecstasy from drinking my blood.

Samantha paused, realizing something, but I already knew her worry and urged her to continue.

"Drink more, I can always recover my blood."

Samantha nodded, grinned, then closed her eyes, settling into comfort.

The currents flowed gently, and the seagrass waved at their whims.

It was peaceful.

The sound of the kelp, here and there, could be heard singing, and the mountainous peaks were mystical and calming to the eyes.

I felt comfort as I let her absorb my blood, feeling Samantha's vitality and strength increase every second.

But it was far too slow compared to my growth.

Samantha retrieved her fang, then beamed a smile at me as she glanced at and admired her skin and body.

"Hey, hey, Alister, aren't I beautiful right now?"

I chuckled as I embraced her and whispered.

"You're already beautiful to my eyes... but I could tell that your figure has improved significantly after receiving an inheritance from her."

Samantha giggled as she embraced me, pressing her chest against mine.

She glanced at my eyes, now glowing a faint red.

"Well, it's true... but there's a catch."

I chuckled as I ruffled her hair.

"Hahaha... don't worry if all you need is some of my blood."

Samantha pouted and whined.

"Stop ruffling my hair! You know it's time-consuming to comb it, right?"

I only smiled at her cute expression as she pressed her index finger to my lips.

"Well, that's not all... I need to get Ashin revenge. No, our revenge on those World Associations bastards... no! Those cultists! How dare they convert me into an Overseer of this dungeon, those damned bastards!"

Well, this was the first time I'd truly seen her angry, and damn, she was too spicy to anger.

And what did she mean by 'cultist?'

"What do you mean? And how did you obtain that information?"

Samantha chuckled, then proudly pointed at her chest.

"Well, it's due to the Inheritance that I've received from Ashin Sae Acoustine! Not only did she transfer her bloodline to me, but also a fragment of her memory, and you already know it."

Looking at her aura, I could feel and see that she did obtain a bloodline about vampirism.

Perhaps the fragments of memories she received contained the names of the associations that put her into this dungeon.

"Samantha, this is kind of dangerous, and you know it. But if you want me to destroy them... just tell me."

Samantha giggled, then rested her chest on my chest as she nodded.

"Truly? Will you do it?"

I nodded at her as I embraced her.

"Truly... anything for you."

Samantha stayed silent for a while, then fell asleep on my chest.

I chuckled.

Samantha was truly intriguing and one of a kind, and I guess I could now understand why I'd fallen for her.

It's not about her looks, but about her personality, but about how she cared for me and our compatibility.

Slowly and gently, I lay on the ground as my back flattened the seagrass.

Then I slowly gazed at the night sky, which was reflected from the ocean above.

How beautiful!

But sadly, it was artificial, an artificial world.

The night passed without incident, as Alister Von Fai was resolute in protecting his woman from any form of danger.

The night passed as the morning glow shone from the sky above the ocean proudly.

Then a shadow loomed in the sky, hovering in the air proudly and arrogantly as it released a loud bellow.

"Mere worms, meet your judgment! I am the Radiant Leviathan!"

I was confused.

A Leviathan?

But it didn't look like a Leviathan.

What I saw was a mere worm arrogantly hovering in the sky like some kind of deity.

Samantha stirred as she groggily yawned, then glanced above.

"A worm? Why is there a worm flying?"

My voice broke into laughter as I couldn't help but chuckle at Samantha's comment.

"Bwahahaha... a worm! Hahahahaha, Samantha, you really know how to joke!"

Samantha smacked my head as she pouted.

"But isn't it a worm over there, Alister?"

I couldn't help but burst into laughter yet again as Samantha cluelessly pointed at the Leviathan above.

"Well, you're wrong about that, dear. That 'worm' said earlier that it was a Leviathan."

Samantha was shocked as her fangs dug deep into my neck, as she began to feed.

Her voice muffled, she asked.

"But isn't it too small to be called a Leviathan?"

Then the voice above echoed as its mere aura distorted the very space around it.

"Mortals, how dare you proclaim me as a worm!"

Slowly, I got up and cracked my neck as Samantha wiped her lips and lay on the ground, watching for what was to unfold.

Slowly, I lowered my body as I squatted.

Then, in the next second, my form disappeared, and a massive crater formed in my wake.

My body rapidly cut through the water, shooting out before gently landing on one of the mountain peaks.

Then I yawned, gazing at the Leviathan.

"Quite the guts you have, to proclaim yourself as a deity."

The Leviathan's gaze was cold as it merely gazed at me for a brief moment, then snorted.

"A mere Emperor?"

I chuckled as I felt its aura.

This creature was not a lord, king, or overlord, it was a sovereign.

Its pearly white scales shimmered in the sun as the Leviathan scoffed.

"I see."

I couldn't help but gaze at it straight in the face.

I could see that it was confident enough to see me as nothing more than prey, a stepping stone for it to acquire the Emperor Slayer title.

And it was this very same unbridled pride and arrogance that I liked about the Leviathan.

"Come and serve under me, Leviathan."

It snorted as its gaze turned cold.

"Prove yourself worthy, Emperor, for I don't serve the weak."

Chorus of the Abyss.

The ground crackled as my own pressure was released for the first time.

The wails of the monsters I'd killed screamed as a fog made of darkness shrouded the world.

The mountain peaks jutting from the ocean trembled as the clash of darkness and light erupted.

Then brilliant light flashed as sword projectiles hurled toward me.

But they were useless.

Blur-Lance Execution Drive.

My body turned into a blur as my arms transformed into a gauntlet made of cerium, and my nails turned into claws.

Then my claws flashed.

Bright red arcs could be seen from each of my swipes and sweeps as I deflected every one of its attacks without a mistake.

The Leviathan seemed amused as thousands of swords formed at its back per second before flashing into a bright light and hurling toward me.

But my compound eyes could track all of them, and my claws could deflect every one.

Then I felt the ground beneath me crumbling from the accumulated damage it took.

"I see. So that's what your plan is."

Blur-Lance Execution Drive.

Then I took a step as my form vanished from the peak.

In a split second, I phased through the Leviathan.

Then crimson red lines were etched into its body as I closed my eyes and muttered.

"Primeval Emperor – First form: Ruined Fury."

Then I could hear and feel the twisting of the Leviathan's flesh as it was slowly ripped away by a devil's nail.

Blood splashed from its body, then formed into a rain that dyed the mountain peaks and ocean.

"Impressive, to be able to endure my technique... but all of your struggle is futile."

A flash of light flickered in my vision as I saw something passing through my body.

"Impossible... how?"

A gaping hole appeared on my stomach as blood gushed out of it.

Samantha shouted, worried.

"Alister!"
