Chapter 69 - Arc 2 - Chapter 18 | Reunion

Chapter 18: | Reunion

---

The morning dew, kissed by the sun, was beautiful.

Days had passed since we'd fought to the death.

Lumicor levitated into the air, using his impeccable mana control to train his skills.

Meanwhile, I had begun to experiment with my primal energy, to see if it could coat my armor.

But it only failed again and again.

I realized my armor or any of my mutations didn't have any resistance to my primal energy.

They either broke or resisted for a while before breaking again.

I'd tried to shift their structure, but all it did was make them resist for a few seconds longer.

I let out a sigh, for I could tell that the form I had created and honed for years was now rendered useless.

Not entirely useless, of course.

I could just choose not to use primal energy and go on a brawl with my opponents, or abandon my defense and focus on offense.

Or perhaps I could just transform a part of my body to take an attack, then remove that part to use primal energy.

My claws, which were enhanced by my primal energy, had just turned into useless gore after a single attack.

I shook my head.

It seemed that primal energy was just too great for my mutations to endure, they needed some resistance, like my body.

But how?

I pondered for a while, then couldn't help but sigh at my stats.

Haa... my mana was gone, and so was my Mystique, replaced by Primality and Primal Energy.

This was such a downright debuff, but I couldn't help but sigh as my primal energy depended on Primality.

Primal Energy is the unit of my power that allowed me to enhance my body's strength by tens of times.

Then there was Primality.

What did this stat do?

Easy, this stat made the density of my primal energy more tremendous, and the greater my Primality, the greater my enhancement would be.

Perhaps if it reached 2.00, the increase in my strength would be 20 times, but the problem was, how could my body handle that enhancement?

And I don't even know how to increase my Primality right now, so there were two problems.

I sighed as I gazed at Lumicor above the surface.

He ignored me intentionally as he slowly gathered all of his mana to form a massive sphere, then compressed it, transforming it into a sword.

Then it flashed as Lumicor coldly said.

"Heavenly Judgement."

The sword flashed through a mountain, completely destroying it before it exploded into the ocean.

I could see a massive tsunami form.

I sighed.

Flashy as ever.

But who would argue since that's his style?

Samantha's gaze was one of suspicion as she turned to me.

"Hey, tell me... what was that corrupted energy that you used?"

Samantha had inquired about that for days on end, and she pouted, pressing for an answer.

"Well, it's just... you said primal energy? What's there to be suspicious about?"

I countered.

Samantha stroked her imaginary beard as she pressed her chest against my arm, then acted cutely.

"Really? You're not telling this cute and curious wife of yours?"

I sighed as I grabbed her chin and kissed her forcibly.

Samantha's muffled moans could be heard as she resisted, but soon gave in to my skillful tongue.

Samantha pushed herself from me, her face as red as a tomato, as she pointed at me.

I licked my lips, then wiped them with my thumb as I deepened my voice.

"Dear... just keep yourself curious... Okay?"

Samantha submissively nodded as she sat on my arm and rested her head on my shoulder, whispering.

"Truly? You're not telling me... this cute wife of yours?"

I grinned at her provocative move.

Samantha's body trembled as I licked her neck, whispering.

"You already know that you're cute... and I would love to ravage you like a wolf."

Samantha fidgeted like a little girl as she burrowed her face into my neck, whispering.

"You're too much, dear... and stop teasing me, okay? You're making me feel like a teenager with that mouth of yours."

I chuckled, amused at her choice of words.

"But I really want to tease you... can't I?"

Samantha giggled as she pouted like a cute bunny.

"No, you can't!"

I smiled as I pinched her nose.

"Then don't probe anymore... or I wouldn't be able to stop myself and tease you all day."

Samantha surrendered this time, but that did not mean she gave up.

Her lips curled into a smile as I caressed her hair gently.

Then I glanced down below as I arrived at the mural before me.

I couldn't help but sigh as I applied pressure on my feet.

The ground trembled as cracks began to spiderweb on the mural, and with a little push, the ground crumbled as I shouted,

"Lumicor, it's time to go!"

Lumicor snorted as he smiled.

"Already commanding me like a subordinate when I have yet to truly acknowledge you."

A portal appeared down in the abyss.

My feet entered, then my body followed.

My insides twisted from the gravity, and I couldn't help but furrow my brow.

"Still as distasteful as always."

Then, into my arms, Samantha vomited as she coughed.

Tears welled in her eyes as she continued to vomit.

"Damned dungeon and this portal!"

Samantha cursed as she took my hand, then jumped onto me as her fangs showed.

Pain struck my neck, as it was time for her to feed.

Lumicor coldly proclaimed as his body released an immeasurable pressure.

Divine armaments covered his body as a broken halo hovered above his head.

"Show yourselves, mongrels, for I, the Radiant Leviathan, shall show you mercy!"

Then a terrifying presence erupted from above as a man with draconic features appeared.

The man had golden hair, and his eyes glowed a gentle blue hue.

"Amara, is that guy the one you mentioned?"

He asked.

Then space distorted as another terrifying presence appeared.

This time, it was a beautiful woman with curvy features, and she smiled as she lewdly licked Straught's chest.

"It is indeed, Straught... Perhaps are you jealous right now, honey?"

Straught flushed as he coughed.

Then his aura flared as he shouted with the aura of an Emperor.

"Mortals before me, prove yourselves worthy! I, the Grand Overseer Straught, will challenge the three of you!"

I sighed as I pointed above and muttered.

"Lumicor, take care of that guy, and I will take care of the other one."

Lumicor nodded as his body turned into a streak of light, then appeared before Straught as countless Heavenly Punishments flashed into existence.

Then I cracked my neck as I sighed. "Long time no see."

Amara chuckled as tentacles sprouted from her back.

She then sat on one of her tentacles as she gazed below mischievously.

"Oh dear, so did I... Has a decade passed? Looking at you right now, I am quite intrigued to see how you progressed from an imbecile to an Emperor."

Samantha was worried as she clenched my arm, but I only smiled at her.

"Don't worry, Samantha.

I know what you're thinking, and I wouldn't lose right now... so please just sit in the backline and relax, okay?"

Samantha hesitantly let go of my arm as she pulled me over and pressed her lips to mine.

Then she licked her lips mischievously as she smiled.

"You promise, right?"

She asked.

"Did I ever lie to you?"

I responded.

"Uhm, so please take care."

She said, nodding.

My form flickered as my smile vanished.

Amara chuckled, amused, and couldn't help but point at Samantha.

"How lucky for you to be surrounded by beautiful women... So how about I kill her if you lose to me?"

I chuckled, and my frown deepened.

"Don't even think about it."

But Amara just chuckled as she pointed at the flashes of light where Lumicor and Straught fought.

"Well... if that friend of yours loses, then you'll be at a disadvantage."

"Well, let's see about that."

I countered.

Amara chuckled as countless spheres made of darkness hovered before her tentacles.

And I could feel the danger within them.

Their power was capable of obliterating my existence without my armor.

Perhaps my armor was useless.

My form transformed.

My eyes turned into slits as a horn protruded from my head, both regal and dangerous.

An exoskeleton encased my body, both elegant and exquisite.

A wing broke free from my back as it flapped, and then, with a sweep, a tail appeared from my tailbone.

My gaze was cold as Amara chuckled seductively.

Then darkness flashed across my vision as pain erupted through my nerves, sending me flying miles away to crash into the seabed below.

"Interesting."

I muttered, shaking off the impact.
