Chapter 42 - "As expected, they still like bananas."

After walking for around half an hour, David, Toa, and Komoe arrived in front of a field of sparkling red flowers resembling red lotuses.

"Wow~! These are so pretty, Papa!"

Komoe jumped down from David's shoulders and ran up to the flower field, examining the ambrosia flowers from up close, but not touching them.

Before she could ask if they could pick them, two figures flashed overhead and landed in the field of flowers.

"Stop right there, little missy. Stealing is bad, okay?"

A somewhat short woman with shoulder-length silver hair, reddish-brown eyes, a kuudere-like expression, two permanent blush circles on her cheeks, and a swirly ahoge on the top of her head was spinning a wand in her hand as she pointed at Komoe and struck a magical girl pose.

⟪ Mm, Eris seems the same. I am happy... ⟫

Komoe stood up and pointed at the flowers, saying, "I wasn't going to steal! If they belong to someone, I'll just pay for it!"

"They're not for sale, especially not to hyumans like yourselves," a taller woman with similar looks, but longer hair and a somewhat cranky look on her face said as she looked down at Komoe.

Komoe, displeased with the taller woman's words, crossed her arms and said, "I'm not a hyuman! I'm half-human and half-dragon!"

David almost facepalmed, but held himself back. He walked up to Komoe and patted her on the head.

"Alright, calm down, Komoe-chan. They're just doing their jobs as protectors of this flower field, okay? We were going to talk with them anyway, so you don't need to get too upset with them."

The shorter woman gave a thumbs-up and said, "Righty-o, mister. We're just doing our jobs. However, we don't allow pipthieves to do whatever they want."

The taller woman made an awkward expression and whispered, "Pipthieves?"

The shorter woman held up two fingers and said, "Pipsqueaks and sneak thieves. That pipsqueak tried to be a sneak thief, therefore she's a pipthief."

The taller woman shook her head, used to the shorter one's antics.

⟪ Ah, I'm lucky to have heard this conversation. Dammit, I should have brought Tomoe to make it easier to convince the people in the village... Eh, it'll be fine, she can do it later. ⟫

David stepped forward and said, "My daughter was just entranced by the flowers, no harm meant. Can we discuss trade? I'm certain I have some things that you don't, things you'd probably be interested in."

The shorter woman tilted her entire body to the side and put her hand on her chin.

"Hmm... 'Kay, I don't see why not. We'll escort you to the village. My name is Eris."

The taller woman said, "My name is Aqua."

"Nice to meet you, Eris, Aqua. My name is David Star, this is my daughter Komoe, and this is our companion, Toa."

Komoe waved at Eris and Aqua with a smile while Toa just nodded.

"Follow us," Aqua said as she turned around and started walking.

David sneakily used his Concealment Sakai and manipulated the earth around a single ambrosia flower, creating a stone container that held the flower and its roots before making it float behind him, touch him, and get stored in his inventory.

⟪ With this, I now have a flower and can let it propagate in the Cradle. Now, we can leave for the Gritonia Empire as soon as the event with Shiki is over. ⟫

As they were walking, Komoe was in the lead, swinging her arms happily while David and Toa were just following side by side, enjoying the sight of Komoe being happy.

Whether it was within David's expectations or not, he was overjoyed to see that Eris was dancing along the way, giving Aqua a slight headache.

It didn't take long before David felt his group passing through a concealment barrier.

⟪ This must be the barrier that Tomoe set up back when she was Shin. ⟫

"Welcome to the Forest Ogre Village," Aqua said.

"We bring all suspicious people here, but you are special as we don't intend to kill you. Applause please, pachi pachi pachi..."

Eris clapped her hands while making the Japanese onomatopoeia for clapping sounds.

Komoe, not knowing any better, clapped her hands excitedly, eliciting a small smile from Aqua.

⟪ I can see why she was essentially the poster girl for Makoto's shop in the original work. She's so much better in real life! Ahhh, so cute and funny! Hmm, now that I think about it, isn't Eris like, connected to a couple of gods? Athena and Daikokuten, right? I wonder if she was connected to them at this time or if it was only after she met Makoto...? Oh well, if they have a problem, they can come to me and I'll kick their asses if needed. ⟫

David nodded to himself as they continued walking.

Eventually, they were led to a building with five stone seats in a semi-circular formation.

On four of the seats sat a bunch of old men with a younger looking man standing off to the side, looking like he just finished speaking with them.

The old man in the center spoke first. "Welcome to the Forest Ogre Village. I am Nilgistori, representative of the elders."

David raised a hand to stop the conversation from going further, both because he didn't want to spend too much time around old men and also because he really didn't care much for the tiny pointless drama that occurred during this section in the original work.

"Nice to meet you all. My name is David Star and I came here for a few simple reasons."

He held up three fingers. "First, I'm here for an ambrosia flower. Second, I'm here to bring to light a member of your village colluding with the demons. Third, I'm here to take away a lich that has possessed a member of your village."

After putting down his three fingers, he looked directly at the man to the side and pointed his finger at him.

"You, what's your name, affiliation, and why did you collude with the demons?"

The man looked serious and stern. He didn't want to speak, but was compelled to anyway.

"My name is Adono, son of Nilgistori. I am a member of the Forest Ogre Village and I'm colluding with the demons to help the village. The barrier's weakening. The elders weren't doing anything, so I contacted the demons. I figured we'd need allies when the hyumans eventually found us. That's it. I wasn't planning to betray anyone, I was just planning ahead."

Adono widened his eyes in shock and stepped forward abruptly, pointing aggressively at David.

"You! What did you do to me, boy!"

David created some spider silk from his right hand and threw it out, binding Adono where he stood.

"Alright alright, that's enough out of you. Nilgistori, you heard it from his own mouth. I used a truth spell and forced him to speak the truth, nothing more and nothing less. I'm sure you can find something if you looked into his actions hard enough, but I don't care about that. I provided valuable information, you're welcome."

Without waiting for a response from the bewildered elders, David turned to look at Aqua and Eris.

"You two, call Mondo over. I have information he'd be interested in as well."

Aqua and Eris weren't sure what to do, but seeing as how the elders didn't stop them, they hurried out of the building and looked for their master, Mondo.

David created two stone seats and sat down in one of them, motioning for Toa to sit in the other.

Toa was dumbstruck by the information David had and wasn't even sure what was going on anymore.

Komoe, being the cute and obedient child that she is, didn't care about anything that was going on and just jumped onto David's lap, motioning for him to pat her head.

David smiled and pat her head, then manipulated his threads to throw Adono in front of Nilgistori and the other elders.

"Hey now, don't I get a thank you?"

Nilgistori looked back and forth between Adono and David, unsure of what to say.

David pointed to Nilgistori and asked, "What, you don't believe me?"

Nilgistori said, "No, I don't believe you. I think you forced my son to say such things to cause trouble in our village. It's what sneaky hyumans like you would do."

As soon as he finished speaking, Nilgistori looked bewildered.

"Sheesh, I can't say I'm surprised, old man. Let me be clear about one thing though. I'm not like those hyumans who would lie, cheat, and steal without feeling the least bit guilty, okay? If I were, I'd have just killed Aqua and Eris, stolen all of the flowers, and then went on my way."

⟪ Well, I did steal a flower, but that's neither here nor there... ⟫

Nilgistori, understanding that David really just used magic to make him and his son tell the truth, looked at his son with disappointment evident on his face.

A couple of minutes later, Aqua and Eris came back with a big burly man holding a stick in his mouth, smoking it like a cigarette.

"Yo! My little disciples told me a guest of the village asked for me by name?"

David looked at Mondo's smiling face and sighed internally.

"Yep, not their master specifically, but the one possessing their master."

Mondo narrowed his eyes, but before he could do anything, David snapped his fingers (as usual) and created a barrier around them.

⟪ How many more times will I have to do this today...? ⟫

Mondo opened his mouth and a fiery spirit flew out, looking like a scene out of some horror movie.

"I didn't expect to be found out by a passing hyuman. However, exposing me was your greatest mistake!"

The spirit reached out a hand and pointed it at David, but nothing happened.

"..."

The spirit floated in awkward silence for a moment before turning to the elders, Aqua, Eris, Komoe, and Toa, pointing at them all in turn, but nothing happened.

It wasn't until the spirit pointed at Adono that a change occurred.

Adono seemed to rapidly dry up like a corpse while a his energy was drained and absorbed by the spirit.

The spirit revealed its form as a skeleton wearing tattered robes and a golden headband with a gem embedded in the center.

⟪ Sorry, Adono, but I needed Shiki in his materialized form. ⟫

"Alrighty, everyone can see that there was another hidden threat, right?"

Nobody responded as they all looked at the scene in front of them in horror.

"Hmm, I'll ask again later... You, lich, come with me."

"You dare command me, hyuman?"

David didn't respond and just directly teleported the lich, Komoe, and Toa to the Cradle.

When they appeared, they were in a drawing room with nice furniture and décor.

"I do indeed dare to command you. Now, let's take a seat, shall we? I have information you'd be interested in and all you have to offer is your loyalty."

The lich's eyes gleamed red as he started to say, "If you think--!"

"You want to be a Grant, right? To go to other worlds?"

David cut the lich off before he could finish, instantly silencing him with his words.

He took a seat on the couch as he looked up at the lich with an expressionless face, followed by Toa and Komoe.

"I'll make it super short for you, okay? You assume Grants to be a type of evolved hyuman that has the power to go to other worlds, but that's incorrect. A Grant is a hyuman that has gone to another world successfully and made a life there. There's no way to successfully travel between worlds by your own will, at least not in this world."

"How did you know that I--?"

David took a few seconds to conjure a ball of light on his finger tip and when he thought it was good enough, he flicked it at the lich's head, cutting off his words once more.

The ball of light melted into the lich's head and caused him to go numb for a moment.

"Those are a few memories of my world. I'll be going back there soon and felt you might enjoy it. Also, this world is going to be restless for a bit--even more so than it was before."

David crossed his legs and leaned back in the couch. "So? Wanna form a contract?"

⟪ I hate tiresome explanations, but it had to be done to convince him. Now, hurry up and say yes so we can go to Gritonia and finish this damn quest! Ah, I need to wait for Sif and Yuno before leaving though... ⟫

David waited for a solid 30 seconds as the lich thought things over.

[Lich] 'That can't be true... But, it is... Then, what was all of my hard work for? What were my years of research for?'

David cleared his throat and spoke up, interrupting the lich's thoughts.

"Ahem! You're probably wondering what the point of your efforts were all this time, right? Don't worry about it and just consider it your path toward meeting me, yeah? Becoming my servant isn't a bad thing. Besides, you'll probably have fun as my servant in my world. Just say yes, dude."

Komoe raised her fist in the air and, with a smile on her face, she shouted, "Say yes or I'll break your bones!"

David and Toa both looked at Komoe with wide eyes.

⟪ I didn't teach her that, right...? Komoe, my sweet daughter, please don't kill Shiki before he can even form a contract with me, okay? I want a butler... ⟫

The lich, both inspired by David's words and intimidated by Komoe's actions bowed his head and said, "Very well. I will form a contract."

David jumped up and said, "Great! Let's get started then!"

Having gone through two contracts before, David now knew how to initiate them.

Since David has much better control than Makoto, he was able to compress his power to a point that would allow the lich to be able to contract with him while keeping the ratio the same as Tomoe and Mio's.

The lich quickly transformed from a skeleton in a fancy tattered robe to a handsome red-haired and green-eyed hyuman in a fancy tattered robe.

⟪ Dammit, Shiki is also more handsome than in the anime... Should I just disfigure his face...? ⟫

The red-haired hyuman shuddered, feeling an unnatural sense of danger.

The hyuman knelt down on one knee and said, "I will live to serve you, master. I look forward to what we will accomplish together!"

Now it was David's turn to shudder.

⟪ Ugh... I'll just let him be. Maybe he'll find a girlfriend now... ⟫

David waved his hand and said, "Stand up. Just call me 'young master' like the others. Also, your name is now Shiki. It means 'knowledge' or 'common sense'."

⟪ Or something like that... ⟫

Shiki's body glowed as he was given a name and excitedly said, "Thank you, young master!"

"Mm. Anyway, now that you're my servant, that's one less thing I need to worry about. We're just waiting on a few people and after they're back, we'll be heading to Gritonia to take care of some troublemakers."

Shiki tilted his head. "Troublemakers?"

David nodded. "Indeed, troublemakers. Well, 'pieces of shit' would be a more apt description. They've done shitty things in the past and are going to do even shittier things in the future. So, piece of shit sounds pretty good."

"Hmm... Indeed, if the young master says so, it must be true...," Shiki said with absolute seriousness.

⟪ No, why are you like this now? I didn't brainwash you, I just showed you some memories and told you the truth. I'm not a god, okay? I mean, not yet anyway... Still, you shouldn't just believe everything I say without question! Also, why is his voice so damn smooth? ⟫

[Toa] 'Isn't your voice better though? Why complain?'

Toa felt like she was just along for the ride as everything was happening way too fast.

David shook his head and opened up a Mist Gate.

"Alright, you stay here, Shiki. I just need to finish things up with the Forest Ogres."

Shiki gave a salute with a serious face and said, "As you command, young master!"

⟪ ... ⟫

David walked through the Mist Gate with Komoe and Toa, appearing at the Rembrandt mansion in front of Tomoe, Mio, Sif, and Yuno.

"Young master/husband!"

When Tomoe and Mio saw David, they were elated. Tomoe was closer so she rushed up to hug him before Mio got the chance.

David just accepted the hug and patted Tomoe's head.

"I need to borrow you for a bit, Tomoe. Toa, can you switch with Tomoe as--"

"David-sama!"

Before David could finish speaking, Sif and Yuno appeared with bags in their hands.

"Eh? Are you girls ready to go already?"

Sif and Yuno nodded.

"Yes. It has already been a little over an hour and we finished explaining things to our parents. Tomoe-san also created a... Um... What was it again, Tomoe-san?" Sif asked.

"A Dimensional Gate. It allows you two to come back home at any time as long as you're in the Cradle."

Sif nodded, "That's it! Tomoe-san created a Dimensional Gate in my bedroom so we can visit whenever we want! Our parents found this acceptable and agreed with our request!"

⟪ Huh, I'm glad Tomoe has permissions to do such a thing. I was thinking I'd have to do it, but this saves me the trouble. Nice! As expected of my wife! ⟫

David smiled and subconsciously patted Tomoe's head again.

"In that case, you two can go to my estate and wait for our return. There's a man there named Shiki who will be acting as a butler in the future. Ah, I forgot to tell him about that... Oh well, I'm sure he'll be fine with it... Anyway, I'll send you girls off now and see you later on, okay?"

"Okay!" They responded in unison, bright smiles on their faces.

David waved his hand and teleported them to the room where Shiki was waiting.

"Papa, why do you use Mist Gates sometimes and just teleport at other times?" Komoe asked with a confused expression.

David crouched down and picked up Komoe.

"That's because they both look cool and I just want to do both sometimes. That's fine, isn't it?"

Komoe smiled and nodded. "Mm! I was just curious!"

"Hahaha, it's fine. Anyway, let's head back to the Forest Ogre Village real quick. Tomoe, I need you to convince them to join the Cradle. They can just live in the forest, but I really want two girls, Aqua and Eris, to join because they're too damn entertaining. Honestly, if they're the only ones that join that's fine with me. I wouldn't care about not getting new residents at this point in time if they don't want to join."

Tomoe patted her chest and said, "Leave it to me, young master! I can go there by myself and you can just continue with whatever you had planned to save some time!"

David smiled widely.

⟪ Ahhh, my wife is so considerate! I'll have to show her extra attention in bed tonight, heheh~. ⟫

Tomoe blushed and stuck her nose up in the air, subtly bragging to Mio.

"Tch..."

Mio just clicked her tongue and stood next to David, holding his right arm tight.

"Alright then, I'll send you there. If you need me, just contact me through telepathy."

David waved his arm and teleported Tomoe directly to the building where the elders, Aqua, Eris, an unconscious Mondo, and a dead Adono were.

⟪ Hmm, now that I think about it, was I too casual about Adono's death? It isn't like he was a big character and I didn't even like him anyway... Aqua and Eris wouldn't think I'm a cruel person because of that, right? After all, I'm sure they've known him for a long time and they might have been close to him... Oh well, it'll be fine. I have two targets left to focus on now. Once they're taken care of, I can go back and hug Marin tight, heheh~. ⟫

If Aqua and Eris could hear David's inner voice, they'd say no, they did not, in fact, think anything about David's reaction to Adono's death. They were more shocked to learn that Adono was siding with the demons than anything and didn't really even care about David at the moment.

David has had too good of luck with women recently to the point that he has gotten a tad bit vain, thinking any woman around him would be unabashedly focused on him when he's around.

Oh how wrong he is... Mostly...

David clapped his hands and said, "Alright! Since there's still some daylight left, I'm going to start heading east toward Gritonia. I'll be flying at high speeds so unless anyone can keep up with my speed, I suggest waiting in the Cradle."

Toa, Komoe, Sif, and Yuno showed disappointed looks on their faces, but they understood that they couldn't keep up with David.

Mio showed a triumphant expression and rubbed her face against David's arm.

David opened up a Mist Gate, set Komoe down on the ground, and then allowed the four unqualified girls to enter before he closed it, wrapped an arm around Mio, and launched into the air.

...

While David was flying to the Gritonia Empire with Mio, the Cradle was quite lively.

Sofia had just come out of the Dimensional Gate Tower and kicked the ground.

"Dammit! Those so-called dragons are way too tough! Shit!"

There was a Challenge Zone called "Jade Dragon's Den" that Sofia just tried challenging on Chaos difficulty.

Her reasoning was that, with her strength, how could she challenge anything easier?

The Jade Dragon's Den contains dragons, but they're not the dragons Sofia is used to.

From her point of view, they looked like weird, bearded and clawed green snakes.

From anyone from Earth's point of view, they looked just like majestic jade dragons from Chinese mythology.

Makoto was, as usual, standing in the Dimensional Gate Plaza, talking to some Highland Orc hunters about a trip to a new dungeon they found.

"This... This is rice! Hahaha, we have to go to this dungeon together next time, guys!"

Makoto's face showed excitement as he held golden stalks of freshly harvested rice.

Sofia, in her frustration, kicked a rock.

The rock flew out and shredded the unprocessed rice in Makoto's hand, causing him to look down at the shredded grain with his mouth wide open.

He looked over only to see Sofia with an angry expression on her face.

[Makoto] 'Who's that and why is she so angry?'

Sofia took a few breaths to calm down and noticed the looks she was getting around her.

She scratched the back of her head and said, "Ahaha... That Jade Dragon Den sure is a pain in the ass..."

Makoto, a few Highland Orcs, and a couple Mistio Lizards nodded their heads in understanding.

[Makoto] 'No wonder she was so pissed off; those dragons are slippery bastards. Especially the ones that can control wind or lightning, those ones are the biggest pains in the ass.'

An orc walked up to Sofia and said, "Which dragon did you get? I always seem to get the one that controls water."

Sofia clicked her tongue and said, "Tch, I got three: wind, water, and lightning. I took out the water dragon easily, but the wind and lightning dragons kept teaming up on me. Bastards really piss me off!"

"EHHH?!"

Everyone in the square was shocked!

"You challenged Chaos mode on your first try?!" A lizard asked.

"Eh? How'd you know it was my first try?"

The lizard rubbed his snout and said, "Heh, I'm a veteran at the tower. I haven't seen you before and saw your excited expression when you first entered."

Sofia chuckled and said, "Haha, well yeah, it was my first try! If there's something that will give me a challenge, I'll do it. I'll get as strong as possible so I can give that damn goddess a piece of my mind!"

The expressions of the others were a little weird. Some of them looked at each other with a confused look.

"Um, did you not see the broadcast by the young master earlier?"

Sofia tilted her head. "What broadcast? I just got here around an hour ago."

Makoto came up and said, "It was basically David showing us that he had that shitty goddess under control. It was awesome, haha! Do you want to watch it? Emma-san recorded it on a recording crystal she got from Tomoe-san and will show you if you ask."

Sofia's face brightened up. "Really?! She should've told me that earlier! Thanks, kid!"

She immediately forgot about her frustrations with the Challenge Zone and rushed back to David's manor where Emma was.

[Sofia] 'I don't disbelieve it, but I need to see it with my own eyes! If it's as good as I think, I'll pledge myself to him completely!'

If David knew what Sofia was thinking, he'd immediately tell her to calm down. He likes Sofia and finds her attractive, but he doesn't want her to turn into a fanatic for him.

He likes her strong personality and determined mindset and doesn't want to see that change.

A couple minutes later, Sofia arrived back at David's manor and had just stepped through the front door when she saw a red-haired man following Emma with a notepad in hand, taking note of everything Emma said.

"You must serve the young master with dignity. He is the ruler of this land and must have servants that are suitable to follow such a man. Tomoe-sama and Mio-sama are exceptions since they are his wives and don't need to follow such rules, though Mio-sama is still quite graceful.

"As a new servant, you should aim to become a man that can see through the young master's intentions at a single glance! If the young master wakes up and his vision shifts even slightly to the toaster, you must anticipate him wanting toast and prepare it wholeheartedly!

If the young master takes an interest in a woman, you must make sure he has proper alone time with her in the future! The young master doesn't care much for administrative tasks in the Cradle so he leaves them with me. If you want to help, you can take a monthly census and since you're talented in magic, you can be in charge of doing magic training for those that want it."

Emma went on a long rant, providing useful and not-so-useful information to Shiki as he nodded and seriously wrote down everything with a smile.

Sofia watched the whole thing in a daze, unsure of who the man was and why Emma was acting so differently with him.

[Sofia] 'Where did the sweet girl go that explained how things worked earlier? Who is this militaristic woman yelling things at that oddly excited man?'

Not wanting to waste any time, Sofia waved her hand and called out, "Emma-san! Some kobold kid said you had a recording of the goddess from earlier today. Is that true?"

[Emma] 'Kobold kid? ...Does she mean Makoto-san?'

"Yes, that's correct. I have a recording of the young master proving his control over the goddess. Would you like to watch it? I had planned on asking Tomoe-sama to make some copies of it for the residents, but I can show it to you now if you'd like?"

Sofia quickly nodded her head, "Yes, please!"

Emma chuckled and turned to Shiki.

"Shiki-san, you should watch as well and bear witness to our young master's power!"

She pulled out a palm-sized crystal and channeled her mana into it, causing a recording of the Mist Gate Broadcast to play.

The first thing Sofia noticed was the goddess' odd expression when David poked her head.

She felt elated when she saw that the goddess was helpless against David.

The second thing she noticed was that David really seemed to enjoy repeatedly insulting the goddess right in front of her, something Sofia wished she could do.

When it got to the part where David was explaining his spell, Sofia was a little worried. She looked at Emma and asked, "Um... David wouldn't use that spell on me, right?"

Emma paused the playback and looked at Sofia as if she was an idiot.

"I know you're new, but to not even know the young master's personality, you really... Hmph, the young master would never do something like that. That spell is only for punishment and nothing more. Moreover, the spell was created specifically for the goddess and he had no intentions of using it on anyone else."

Sofia breathed a sigh of relief and motioned for Emma to continue the playback.

Throughout the rest of the recording, Sofia couldn't stop smiling.

[Sofia] 'He really did it! Hahaha! That man is amazing! Who cares about him killing Mitsurugi?! I got stronger and he was asking for it anyway! Haha, as long as I stay in this place, I'll get strong enough to face Root eventually. This is great!'

Sofia thanked Emma for letting her watch the recording and headed back to the Plaza where she would continue challenging the Jade Dragon Den.

Shiki looked down at Emma and said, "I now understand the young master's immense power. I will do my best to become a worthy servant!"

Emma nodded her head in satisfaction and continued her lesson, including Sif and Yuno into the lessons a few minutes later as they came downstairs and met her.

Less than an hour later, Tomoe arrived at the Western Forest with the entire Forest Ogre Village.

Since there was an empty section of forest in that area without dungeons, Tomoe thought it was a good place to move the entire village, buildings and all.

"Ohhh, a new land to party in," Eris said as she looked around with 'bright' eyes.

"This land feels much better than the Tinarak Forest. It was indeed a good idea to follow Shin-sama."

"Eggsactly~... And her name is Tomoe-sama now, Aqua."

"Egg...? Nevermind. Anyway, yes, it was a good idea to follow Tomoe-sama."

Tomoe clapped her hands to get everyone's attention.

"Listen up! Just like we discussed, you all can live here and prosper, but you will eventually need to pay taxes to the young master, treat the young master with respect, and don't cause trouble for the young master! He will allow for travel between worlds in the future, but if anyone wants to apply for such expeditions, they will need the proper education and training! Those of you who are interested, you can find Emma-dono in the future. For today, just get yourselves familiar with the area. That's all!"

The Forest Ogres all talked amongst themselves in excitement, eager to start a life where they don't have to worry about being attacked by foreign races all the time and can just relax.

Aqua was about to ask Eris what she planned on doing, but when she turned her head to look, she found that the girl had completely vanished!

[Aqua] 'Dammit, she better not be causing trouble already!'

The serious woman set off in search of Eris, but only a few minutes later, she came across her deep in the new forest, holding strange yellow objects with one in her mouth.

"Eris? What are you doing?"

Eris jumped back and held the yellow objects closer to her chest.

"Nom... I received a divine revelation... It said to eat these in order to protect the rest of the village... Nom... Don't worry, I shall ignore the dangers and protect the rest of you!"

Aqua was worried and immediately ran forward, reaching for the yellow objects in Eris' arms.

"No, I won't let you! If we share it between ourselves, maybe it won't be as dangerous for you!"

She grabbed one out of Eris' arms, managed to peel it open, and started to eat it.

After the first bite, she paused and looked at Eris in horror.

"You... You liar! Where did you find these?! Give me more!"

Eris ran away at top speed, shouting, "No! Stop! These are mine! AHHH, POLICE!"

If David saw the what had just transpired, he would have laughed and said, "As expected, they still like bananas."
