Kaelen's POV
"She's mine now."
My uncle's words echoed through my mind like a death knell. Rage unlike anything I'd ever experienced surged through my veins, pushing my wolf to the surface. My vision shifted, the edges turning red as my wolf clawed for control.
Mine. OURS. The thought thundered through me.
I lunged at Uncle Damien without hesitation, all rational thought obliterated by the primal need to reclaim what was ours. My fingers transformed into claws mid-leap, aiming for his throat. At that moment, I didn't care that he was my father's brother. I didn't care about pack politics. All I knew was that he had claimed Seraphina—MY mate—and he would die for it.
"ENOUGH!"
My father's Alpha command slammed into me, powerful enough to halt my momentum. I crashed to the floor several feet from Uncle Damien, who hadn't even flinched. He stood there, arm still possessively wrapped around Seraphina, watching me with cold amusement.
