"Mr Ollivander, I'd like to ask you something."

The wand selection test had just wrapped up when Aris turned to the wandmaker, a sudden thought crossing his mind.

"Please, go ahead, Master Shafiq," Ollivander replied warmly.

He seemed especially patient with Aris, perhaps due to the boy's remarkable lineage, or more likely because he'd never encountered such prodigious talent in someone so young.

"Right then," Aris began, pausing to gather his thoughts.

"I've been reading up on wand-making and theory lately. I've got a few ideas brewing..."

"You've crafted countless wands, so you must know better than anyone, every wand has its own unique properties, its own quirks... even a bit of will, right?"

"Indeed," Ollivander nodded, clearly pleased. "And for one so young to grasp such insight... well, I'd wager you've read more than just the odd book."

"So then, what is it you'd like to ask?"

"What I'm wondering is..." Aris leaned in slightly, eyes thoughtful. "Is it possible to create a wand with an actual independent consciousness?"

"A wand that doesn't just channel magic, but can assist its wielder by correcting miscasts, or even, if authorised, cast spells on its own?"

Ollivander blinked, visibly taken aback.

"You've really thought this through... You never cease to impress, Master Shafiq," he said, his voice laced with admiration.

He paused a moment, then added more gravely, "To tell the truth, our family has researched such things. We've been wandmakers for generations, and yes, there have been attempts to craft more intelligent wands. Ones with a semblance of awareness, just as you've described."

"But..." he hesitated, "it's not so simple. You see, what you're talking about involves more than wood and core; it touches on the study of the soul."

"The study of the soul is a taboo, even in the wizarding world," Ollivander said gravely.

"And if someone were ever to create a wand with truly independent consciousness, there'd be even more complications to worry about."

"A wand like that could turn on its master, or worse, vanish in the dead of night and cause havoc elsewhere."

"That's why we had to abandon the research. It was never spoken of again."

Off to the side, Henry looked at Aris with a helpless expression and added cautiously,

"With all due respect, Master Aris, you might be overthinking this a bit. Even if such a wand could be made, the Ministry of Magic would suppress it instantly. They'd never let it see the light of day."

"Too right," Ollivander nodded in agreement. "A wand with that much autonomy would threaten the very authority of the Ministry."

"I get it," Aris replied with a thoughtful nod. "Then what about a wand that could cast spells automatically?"

He paused, then added,

"I mean... like an enchanted version of a Muggle automatic weapon. You flip a switch, and it rapidly fires off preset spells."

At that, Ollivander chuckled, but there was a firm shake of the head and a gleam of certainty in his eyes.

"Now that's even more impossible," he said.

"Spellcasting draws on the wizard's own magical energy, but that's not all. It requires proper incantation, the wand movement, and strong emotion. All of it needs to line up perfectly in the moment."

"If we ever did make something like you're suggesting, at best it might manage a few weak sparks. Maybe even a burst of colourful fireworks. But power? Precision? Forget it."

"The immediacy of magic, that connection between will, wand, and wizard, is irreplaceable."

"As far as I know, aside from certain curses and utility charms, there are very few offensive or defensive spells that can be stored for any decent length of time," Ollivander said slowly.

"And storing multiple spells in a single object, being able to release, interrupt, or even recharge them at will? That's downright impossible."

Aris frowned slightly, clearly deep in thought.

At that moment, Luna spoke up from beside him.

"Maybe… we could try finding a material that can store spells and be reused?"

Ollivander turned to her, nodding with clear approval before letting out a sigh.

"Young lady, believe me, we've tried. Of course, we've thought of that!"

"But to date, no such material has been found in the wizarding world. If it does exist, it must be rare beyond belief, or perhaps lost to time."

With that, the shop fell into a brief, thoughtful silence.

Even Luna, clever as she was, didn't know what to say next.

Perhaps it really was something beyond their reach for the moment.

She turned toward Aris, only to find him still frowning, clearly lost in his own thoughts.

Just as Henry opened his mouth to gently remind his young master that it might be time to leave, Aris spoke up again.

"Mr. Ollivander, what if we incorporate a magic circle?"

"I've read that in ancient times, some wizards could use magical arrays to store spells within weapons or objects, activating them later to unleash tremendous power."

"Those kinds of enchanted items were referred to as magic tools, or spiritual artefacts, by older generations of wizards and magical beings..."

"There's even a legend about King Arthur wielding such a weapon, said to be crafted by Merlin himself. Incredibly powerful, and unlike any ordinary wand."

"Where on earth did you read all that?" Ollivander chuckled, shaking his head in mild amusement.

"King Arthur's sword, Merlin the so-called 'God of Magic', those are just old myths and bedtime stories!"

"Even if such a magical array ever existed, it's been lost to time. Ancient magic only survives in scraps nowadays."

"And most of what's left is hoarded by the oldest wizarding families. Very few people ever get to see any of it."

At that moment, Ollivander paused, his expression shifting slightly as he studied Aris more closely.

The realisation struck him, wasn't the Shafiq family one of those ancient pure-blood lines with a long and storied history?

Could it be that the boy standing before him had actually seen such magic circles in some ancient manuscript?

"Well, anything's possible, isn't it?" Aris replied with a faint smile.

In truth, he had seen such magical arrays before, clearly detailed in Merlin's own notes, preserved within the legendary Handbook belonging to Merlin.

The sword of King Arthur, Excalibur, was also mentioned there, explained in intricate detail.

Maybe, just maybe, he could replicate or even refine those enchantments.

Create a wand capable of unleashing spells automatically, like a magical firearm.

If such a thing ever came to be, what would he even call it?

Gatling Wand? Spellburst Shooter?

The thought amused him.

Ollivander, meanwhile, looked visibly excited.

"Master Shafiq, if you really do know anything about such a magical circle, I'd be honoured to work with you on it!"

"I swear, I'd be a real help!"

Aris didn't give him a direct answer.

"Maybe. If the time comes, I'll be in touch."

With that, he gently took Luna's hand and gave Ollivander a polite nod.

"Thanks again for all your help today, Mr Ollivander. That'll be all for now."

As the soft chime of the system rang in his mind, Aris smiled quietly to himself and turned to leave.
