Renz looked at the interface in his retina. The 97% on the left clearly indicated the final probability of the entire life path unfolding, while the number on the right likely represented the actual progress. His acquaintance with Joichiro Yukihira marked the beginning of his culinary journey, and starting that path was the crucial event that led to him meeting Erina.

This pivotal event was the reason for the significant leap in actual progress. He wondered if kissing Erina would have a similar effect. He hadn't tried it yet, but he'd give it a shot next time.

Renz came to his own conclusions. Then, another thought occurred to him: if the club was trying to screw him over like this, would retaliating now affect the timeline? The Nakiri family's assets, even a tiny fraction, were tens of times larger than his old, broken club. He felt like he could just borrow a bit of pocket money from Erina and buy out the entire club. Not only would he get his revenge, but he'd also transform into the new boss.

The thought of such a dramatic reversal was quite satisfying. But it felt a bit too much like riding on his wife's coattails, making him seem like he was living off her.

No! How could that be considered living off her? He and Erina were family. Family doesn't stand on ceremony. What's wrong with temporarily borrowing some assets to start a business? In the future, wouldn't all his assets be Erina's assets anyway? And even further in the future, wouldn't Erina and Renz's assets become Rina's and Haruki's assets? Just borrow it and be done with it!

He pulled out his phone.

Renz made a call.

"Hello, wife?" Renz coughed.

"What's up?" Erina's voice came from the other end, accompanied by some rustling sounds. "Spit it out, I'm about to take a bath."

"It's fine, you can talk to me while you bathe," Renz said nonchalantly.

"Do you think I'm a pervert?" Erina's tone was icy. "Say what you need to say quickly."

"Okay, how much pocket money do you have?" Renz said seriously. "I'm planning to open a restaurant first, start a business." Acquiring his old club and becoming a big boss was something Renz really wanted to do, but acquiring it now wouldn't make any sense because it wasn't profitable. While Renz wanted to get his revenge, his current usable funds were indeed too low. He needed to start a profitable project first, ensure he could make money, and then think about how to get back at them.

"You want to open a restaurant?" Erina said on the phone. "What's your bank account number? I'll transfer the money to you." Actually, she wanted to directly assign one of the Nakiri family's local restaurants for Renz to operate, but the problem was that even though she was a young miss Nakiri, she didn't have the authority to decide the Nakiri family's assets for someone else to operate. Erina glanced at her account. She had over ten million Japanese yen in balance.

This was her accumulated pocket money over many years and earnings from attending some events. Of course, for most events, she appeared as a representative of the Nakiri family, and the main profits still went to her grandfather.

"I can give you ten million Japanese yen," Erina continued. "You're not going to be foolish enough to lose all that money, are you?"

"I managed so many of your Nakiri family's businesses so smoothly; are you still worried I'll lose money?" Renz said frankly. "No need for ten million, five million is enough."

"I'll rent a storefront and temporarily practice my basic skills there. Then I'll figure out how to make a name for myself," Renz continued. "Once I'm famous, I'll see if I can make money in other industries." No matter how good he was at cooking, there was still a ceiling on profitability. Some projects had no ceiling on profitability. As long as he didn't go in the wrong general direction, Renz felt he had a good chance.

"Oh, right, I rented a house for you outside. Go live there," Erina said seriously. "Your school used to be an all-girls school, right? I heard that girls in such schools naturally hate boys and are very brutal towards them. I'm a bit worried about you."

Are girls from all-girls schools really hostile towards boys? Renz had watched so much anime, he felt like girls from all-girls schools should be madly chasing after the boys who managed to sneak in, right? It was obvious that the Queen of Jealousy Erina passive skill had been activated.

"No problem," Renz agreed, and casually mentioned what happened today, hoping to reassure Erina. "Today, a female student tried to confess to me, but I righteously refused her."

"Oh?" Erina's voice subtly changed. On her first day back, someone already had their eyes on her husband? Erina decided to personally intervene.

"Renz, a woman's jealousy is a terrifying thing. I hope that before you do anything, you'll weigh whether it's worth it," Erina admonished.

"Then set your mind at ease. While I'd quite like to be kicked by your beautiful, stocking-clad legs, if I can touch them myself, why would I want to be kicked?" Renz said seriously. "And don't you know how much I spoil you? At social gatherings, I wouldn't dare drink even a single glass, just afraid something might happen."

"You're getting more and more perverted," Erina said, rubbing her forehead.

"I'm not being perverted; I just miss you so much. Counting today, when we left the future, we hadn't seen each other for almost two months because of work," Renz said melancholically. "Even in that situation, I didn't have a single impure thought about the JK (high school girl) students at school."

"Can't you praise me?" Renz asked.

"Alright, alright, you're the best."

The sound of water rushing in a bathtub came from the other end of the line. Erina, in a mischievous and cunning tone, whispered, "I'm about to take a bath. Do you want to listen?" She deliberately placed her phone where the sound would be easily audible.

"No need. I can hear it, but I can't touch it, which is quite frustrating," Renz was about to turn off his phone. "Oh, right, send me the address of the house you rented for me."

"I'll move tonight. Do you have a computer?"

"Mhm, I'll send you the address on LINE later," Erina replied. "Also, can you transfer to Totsuki Academy?"

"Can I skip classes at Totsuki?" Renz asked hesitantly.

"Probably... not?" Erina said truthfully.

"I still have things I want to do. I'll consider transferring in my second year," Renz replied. He had already paid the first year's tuition at Private Hachiko Academy, so he couldn't just not finish it. At least he had to get through the first year. Then he'd transfer.

"Mhm, in Totsuki Academy's history, have there been any high school graduates who went to prestigious universities like Kyoto University or the University of Tokyo?" Renz asked another question.

"Of course not. Although Totsuki teaches cultural subjects, the intensity of those subjects isn't high; basically, passing is enough. Some people can get into top-tier academies, but prestigious universities like Tokyo University and Kyoto University have extremely high requirements. You're not thinking of getting in, are you?" Erina was momentarily stunned. Renz's thinking was the same as before.

A little genius. Study at Totsuki Academy, then take the entrance exam for Tokyo University upon graduation. Then what are you coming to Totsuki Academy for? You think too highly of Totsuki Academy's cultural studies!

"To cross class boundaries, you have to attend such prestigious universities," Renz expressed his thoughts. "Only by getting into such schools can my status be somewhat balanced when I marry you."

"Marrying me wouldn't make much of a difference anyway," Erina said with a smile. "You, the first thing you think of after coming back, is the underdog rising."

"Wait, what do you mean by the underdog rising?" Renz said earnestly. "In the end, we already had the underdog rise."

"Now, is it wrong for me to hasten the time for the underdog to rise?"

---

Renz's ambitious plan to attend a top university while also aiming for culinary mastery, all to balance his status with Erina, reveals his strong desire to be an equal partner. What do you think about his bold declarations and his determination to fulfill Erina's wish for a grand wedding?
