Carl wasn't lying when he said their place was small. He lived in a residential area away from the commercial area, and everything here was quieter and felt comfortable.
The house was still a good size for two people. Hell, it was a great home for two people. A kitchen that connected to a living room with space to place a dinner table in between. A bathroom that was large enough to fit a wooden tub. And lastly, there was an upstairs that had two bedrooms and one small storage room.
"Make yourself at home. I'll take a bath first and get dinner prepared while you take yours after. My room is upstairs to the right. You can't miss it." Martha smiled.
"Hey Martha, can I get a little kiss?" Kai asked, smirking internally.
"S-Sure." Turning around, she got on her tippy toes and kissed Kai on the lips as her face completely turned red from nervousness.
'Ahh, that's nice. Now, let's go to her room.' He walked up the stairs and entered her room.
The room wasn't anything special. Just the typical medieval-looking room that anyone who has read or watched medieval fantasy would recognize. At least that's what it looked like to Kai.
"At least the bed is big enough for two people." Kai sat on the bed and thought about his plans.
'I definitely want to live a life of debauchery, but I want to have fun, travel, explore, and fight amazing battles. My status window mentioned monsters, so I should become an adventurer one day, but starting off as a hunter should be good for now.'
He then thought about his strength and what he should do about that.
'I don't want to struggle when it comes to battle. Fuck getting powerups when I'm losing badly against a monster or whatever, I want to be OP as fuck. I should grind points before I become an adventurer.'
Kai checked his stats, something he didn't do all day.
'I should have some points after running for hours and beating those wolves, right?'

Opening it, he clicked on passive skills instead of anything else since there was something he already thought of obtaining.
'Thank my father for this search bar.'

'There it is! And it's only 20 SP. I honestly expected it to be more, but hey, I'm not complaining.' He clicked on the purchase icon and read the description.
Appraisal - The ability to view the status of any object, person, or being, including things such as names, factions, relations, current feelings of an individual, even if a flaw in something or if a person is sick or pregnant.
'This will definitely come in handy. Glad I picked this up right away.'
After doing so, he felt a surge of energy in his body. After ten minutes, he fully accepted the mana into his body, feeling a surge of power.
"I know I'm still weak by this worlds standard, but holy shit mana feels good!"
After getting used to his body, he checked his stats again, noticing that the (Max) indicators were gone.
"Now that I can use mana, it's time to begin my hypnotic adventure in this fantasy world!'

"Hmm? What's that?" He looked at his status window.

"Yooo! This is epic! Thanks, Dad!" Kai felt a rush of mana enter his body and strengthen his bones. "I'll never get used to that amazing feeling."
After the initial excitement wore off, Kai tried to activate his magic. At first, nothing happened. So he tried again. Again, nothing happened.
"What the hell? Is this shit broken or something? Water! Splash! Stream! Doink! Okay, I don't know why I said doink when that's only the sound water makes when something drops in it. Do I have to like, imagine a water ball or something?"
He conjured up an image of a water ball in his hand and willed it to appear. After a bit of waiting, he felt something inside his body move to his hand.
'Oh my god do I have a fucking snake in my organs? No, wait, that's mana! Holy shit I'm moving mana! Haha! Yes! I'm a genius!'
The mana continued to move through his body and into his arm until it reached his hand, and just like he willed it to, a water ball formed.
"So it's imagination, will, and mana control. I see. I definitely have to learn more about this."
"Kai?" Martha knocked on the door, opening it slightly. "I've finished my bath. You can take one now. I'll be preparing dinner in the meantime."
"Okay, thanks." He got up, slapped her ass and went to the bathroom.
While cleaning himself, he focused on circulating his mana to see if he could get the hang of things. It wasn't easy, but he did manage to understand how mana operated on a basic level.
Once he finished, he put on his new clothes and headed to the dining room, where Martha had finished cooking dinner.
