The moonlight filtered through the stained-glass windows of their small home as the celebration night came to a quiet close. Hestia sat at the edge of the couch, still a little buzzed but more sobered than before, her eyes locked on Ethan who was now drying his hair with a towel.


Ethan raised a brow. "You've been staring since we got back. Something on your mind?"


Hestia hesitated, then sighed, folding her arms. "Yeah. That girl. Syr."


He paused for a moment, his expression unreadable. "…What about her?"


"I don't like her," Hestia said bluntly. "There's something off about her."


Ethan leaned back against the wall. "You jealous?"


Her face flushed. "O-Of course not, dummy! I just… I don't know. It's a gut feeling." Her voice dropped slightly. "I've seen a lot of people. Mortals and gods alike. I can tell when someone's hiding something. And that girl... she's not who she pretends to be."


Ethan lowered the towel slowly. Her words struck a chord—because deep down, he had felt the same unease. Syr's eyes. That eerie calm. The way she always knew too much.


"…Alright," he said. "I'll be careful."


Hestia looked at him, surprised for a second. "You believe me?"


He smirked. "You've been right more than once. And… yeah, she creeps me out a little."


Hestia's lips curled into a soft, relieved smile. "Good. Just promise me—don't let your guard down around her."


Before either of them could say more, the sound of the front door creaked open—without a knock.


"Oh~? I didn't expect you to be here, Loli."


That sing-song, teasing voice carried through the hall like a bell—playful but dangerous.


And right behind her, tall figures began stepping into view—members of the Loki Familia.


Ethan stood still, the air shifting with sudden tension as Loki walked in with a mischievous grin plastered across her face.


"Well, well~ Looks like we just walked into something real interesting."
