"Then how did you feed?" Kaya asked.

"Sorry about your neck," Calus said with a glance at the bite mark he had made.
"Oh, right," Kaya said and concentrated slightly as a flower bloomed over the bite mark.
Caius caught the scent of lavender just before the flower flaked away into Mana to reveal that the bite mark was gone and the skin looked good as new.
"Nature heals," Kaya told him in a low voice believing he would be curious.
"Hmm," Caius let out with a nod, managing to look like it was new to him. But of course, it wasn't.
He had taken it into account since yesterday when he first spoke to her.
What could have made Kaya a more perfect partner to help him evolve his Vampirism if not the fact that she could heal all evidence of their act the moment they were done?
