The Nine-Tails blinked in surprise. Seeing Naruto's determined gaze, it immediately understood his intent.
Although Naruto had long known his own identity, he didn't want others to find out. So he could only rely on his own strength to utterly destroy the corpse.
The Nine-Tails found it a bit frustrating — Naruto wouldn't call for help in life-or-death situations, but now, for something like this, he was asking for its assistance...
Still, it reluctantly split off some chakra and sent it to Naruto through the gaps in the seal.
This time, Naruto no longer resisted the negative emotions in the Nine-Tails' chakra but began to seriously embrace them.
Within seconds of surrendering, Naruto entered a rampage state. He instantly destroyed the corpse on the ground and then looked out at the bright moon.
"So this is the power of the Nine-Tails? It's intoxicating."
After this brief reflection, Naruto, barely able to keep his consciousness, leapt out the window and ran toward the outskirts of the village.
Within the sealed space, the Nine-Tails sighed softly. "Even now, he deliberately chooses a less crowded place. So this kid still has a shred of kindness in his heart after all?"
Not far away, the cloud ninja and the Anbu team who were confronting each other also noticed Naruto's rampage.
Even from hundreds of meters away, they could sense the terrifying chakra vibrating in the air, pulling at their fragile nerves and flooding them with negative emotions.
"Is this the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki losing control?"
Yuzuki Yuuka quietly drew a dagger and aimed it at the cloud ninja squad leader. "Guests from the Hidden Cloud Village? Aren't you coming with us?"
The cloud ninja's faces darkened, but they could only weakly explain.
They had thought about running away, but first, they were on Konoha's turf, and second, this female Anbu skilled in swordsmanship was accompanied by another Anbu who could use stealth techniques — they had no chance to escape.
After some hesitation, the cloud ninja squad leader said, "The truth will come out. We really didn't target the Jinchuriki, but your Jinchuriki seems to have gone berserk. Don't you intend to intervene?"
"Interrogation will make you tell the truth!"
Yuzuki Yuuka's expression grew icy. She glanced at the empty air and quietly asked, "Hayate, what's going on with the Jinchuriki? Weren't you supposed to find Captain Kakashi?"
Moonlight Hayate's body seemed weaker as he gasped, "I fired a signal flare, but when I tried to protect the Jinchuriki, another black-clad ninja blocked my path. They didn't kill me but kept delaying me."
"Not killing, just delaying…"
Yuzuki's expression darkened as if she suspected something. Her voice grew low and solemn: "Hayate, I'm afraid we've gotten ourselves into trouble. After this, let's take missions outside the village. The village is less safe than outside."
Hayate glanced at Yuzuki and sighed softly, "You're right — outside is safer."
Despite struggling to maintain control, rampaging Naruto inevitably destroyed the streets along his path.
Before the violent chakra of the Tailed Beast, both hard rock and soft earth were no different. The resulting commotion awoke nearby villagers from their sleep.
They rubbed their sleepy eyes and peered through window cracks, witnessing the blood-red beast rampaging down the street.
Then, frightened by the ruthless chakra, they collapsed weakly against the walls, curling up under blankets and trembling, too scared even to breathe.
This scene painfully reminded them of the night four years ago.
From the rooftop of a nearby house, Kakashi furrowed his brow deeply upon witnessing the scene. He removed the eye patch covering his Sharingan, which slowly rotated eerily in the dark.
The Jinchuriki had gone berserk, but compared to four years ago, he was far stronger now — no longer a boy who needed protection.
Following the violent chakra of the Nine-Tails, Kakashi's form flickered as he swiftly pinpointed Naruto's location and blocked his path in a secluded park clearing.
The fitness equipment once there was completely destroyed, and a long trail was dragged across the ground.
Noticing Kakashi, the rampaging Naruto turned and slowly approached.
Kakashi frowned, clasped his palms together, and summoned a sharp, crackling surge of lightning between his hands, aimed at the advancing Naruto.
Just as Kakashi prepared for a desperate fight, Naruto stopped in his tracks.
As the Tailed Beast chakra faded from his body, Naruto collapsed forward. Kakashi caught him mid-fall using his Body Flicker Technique.
Looking at the unconscious Naruto and the wound on his arm, Kakashi pieced together the clues from Hayate's signal flare.
Someone in the village had attempted to assassinate or abduct the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki but injured Naruto instead, causing his transformation and the ensuing chaos.
But who had approached Naruto and why — Kakashi had no idea.
He could only report what he knew to the village elders. The follow-up was no longer his concern.
Still, the boy's face…
Kakashi paused, suddenly recalling his long-deceased teacher. The boy bore a resemblance to the Fourth Hokage.
Could it be that this was his teacher's son...?
Lost in thought, Kakashi was interrupted when the Third Hokage appeared nearby, accompanied by a large group of Anbu.
They came up to Kakashi and stared at Naruto in his arms.
"Did you stop the Jinchuriki's rampage, Kakashi?"
Kakashi shook his head. "When I arrived, the Jinchuriki had already exhausted his power and collapsed. During the rampage, it seemed he didn't harm any villagers, only destroyed the surrounding buildings."
Hearing this, the Third Hokage felt a weight lifted and the Anbu behind him showed surprise.
How could the Jinchuriki still control himself enough not to hurt villagers even while rampaging?
The Third Hokage thought for a moment and said, "You did well, Kakashi. Hand the Jinchuriki over to me and continue patrolling the area. Report to me later at the Hokage's office."
Kakashi nodded and looked at the unconscious Naruto, hesitating to speak but ultimately continued his patrol.
He also planned to find his two subordinates to ask how they had protected the Jinchuriki — how could he have lost control?
The Third Hokage glanced at Naruto and then toward the Hyuga clan lands, sighing deeply with a troubled expression.
The Hidden Cloud envoy leader was killed in Hyuga territory, and now the Jinchuriki had gone berserk.
Tonight truly was a night of trouble. Thankfully, Naruto was sensible enough to maintain some control during his rampage, sparing the village from unnecessary disaster.
Otherwise, it might have been as chaotic as the Night of the Nine-Tails' Attack.
