I was sitting near the window on the right—still thinking about the girl I had just met on the bus. Suddenly, a guy sitting in front of me started talking to me. He had thick eyebrows and a smile with a dimple. Anyone would notice that this guy had a certain charm about him. His name was Jade.
During break time, Jade introduced himself, and we headed to the canteen together. As we walked, I kept glancing at the classroom next to ours—hoping to see her again. But she wasn't there.
At the canteen, students from different year levels crowded the space. The line was packed, and it was hard to get in. I didn't want to squeeze through the crowd, so I left Jade there and went back to the classroom.
On the way back, I ran into her on the stairs. I panicked—I didn't know what to do. I quickly pulled the towel from my pocket, covered my face, and acted like I didn't care, hoping she wouldn't notice me. Then I hurried up to the classroom and sat down, replaying what had just happened in my head.
I kept looking outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of her again. That's when Jade suddenly appeared and asked me what I was doing.
