Raiden Ryoma wasn't as calm as he had imagined.
Perhaps it was because of what had just happened.
Li Zihan recalled his own and Raiden Mei's words when he used the transfer magecraft, pondering.
Seeing Raiden Ryoma's murderous expression, he had most likely overheard something easily misinterpreted, and then, after being dragged to the living room by Welt, had been stewing in a bellyful of anger.
If he continued to provoke him, Raiden Ryoma would probably really fight him to the death.
Li Zihan mused.
Deep down, he still possessed a measure of Heracles's legendary composure.
The only reason Raiden Ryoma was still communicating with him peacefully was entirely because he didn't want to make things difficult for Raiden Mei.
So, how should he handle this?
Li Zihan sank into thought.
He couldn't just use displacement magecraft to directly snatch Plasma Kagehide and then send Raiden Ryoma to the hospital, could he?
If he did that, wouldn't it be a bit too scummy?
"Esteemed Father-in-Law, please calm down a little."
Li Zihan, having roughly formed an idea, spoke to the man before him, his tone modest.
"I believe you must have misunderstood something."
"Misunderstood? What misunderstanding could there be?"
Raiden Ryoma almost laughed out of anger.
"Don't you think, with a crisis so imminent, discussing matters like marriage is a bit ridiculous?"
Li Zihan smiled, then brought up another topic.
"Crisis imminent?"
Raiden Ryoma was stunned, then became even more furious.
He had only come to ask about Raiden Mei; who wanted to drag in such major issues?
However, before his anger could be vented through action, the youth's voice sounded beside his ear.
"The wavering Schicksal Overseer, Otto, has already made contact with the God of Honkai and is preparing to implement multiple plans. For his objectives, he absolutely wouldn't mind selling out all of humanity."
"The World Serpent Sovereign, Kevin, is currently in the Sea of Quanta, awaiting an opportunity to break his seal. After he is released, in order to obtain a large number of Stigmata bearers, he will trigger a Great Honkai Eruption globally."
"The time for the awakening of the Herrscher of the End, who once defeated the Previous Era's civilization, is also not far off. When it awakens, humanity will face a great extinction."
Words, each one chilling enough to make one's hair stand on end just by hearing them, spilled from the youth's mouth.
"This information was supposed to be delivered to Anti-Entropy in a future transaction, as bargaining chips in exchange for the Herrscher of Reason taking action."
Raiden Ryoma, who only wanted to discuss his daughter's matters, paled drastically.
The Overseer of Schicksal, the world's largest organization; the Sovereign of the always mysterious World Serpent organization; the Herrscher of the End, existing only in legends and data.
Were these entities all going to make their move soon?
As one of Anti-Entropy's higher-ups, he naturally knew that this world concealed numerous crises.
He knew that Anti-Entropy, and indeed all of humanity, would sooner or later face a great terror, but he still harbored a sliver of optimism in his heart.
However, after Li Zihan listed the potential crises one by one, Raiden Ryoma's last trace of optimism vanished.
This seemingly peaceful world had always been on the brink of destruction.
He didn't doubt the authenticity of Li Zihan's words. Since Welt was willing to make a deal with him, there had to be some guarantee of this fellow's intelligence being genuine.
And among the pieces of information Li Zihan had just mentioned, if even one was true, it meant a cataclysm that would engulf the entire globe was about to descend.
Thinking of this, Raiden Ryoma's sweat glands opened like a breached reservoir; he was drenched in sweat from head to toe, inside and out.
"If these problems cannot be resolved, establishing a stable family and such sounds like a cold joke."
Li Zihan spread his hands, sighed, his expression somewhat helpless.
With almost no hesitation, he had very naturally shifted the topic from family matters to world affairs.
Using something that was inconsequential to himself but very important to others to cover up something that would affect him personally was his customary trick.
"However, that's no reason for you to string my daughter along!!"
Raiden Ryoma, who hadn't forgotten his initial purpose for coming here, lifted his head, stared at the youth before him, and said word by word.
His voice was still oppressive, but the anger contained within it had diminished considerably.
His attention had still been significantly diverted by Li Zihan's earlier statements.
He understood that matters of the world were more important than family affairs.

"If I could, I'd want to get married on the spot too."
Li Zihan sighed and said.
"But, how long I even have left to live is a problem."

Raiden Ryoma's brow furrowed once more. He sized up the youth before him with a scrutinizing gaze.
Apart from a slightly pale complexion, he looked like someone full of life and vigor in every other aspect.
This fellow, to avoid responsibility, first throws out a pile of world affairs, and now he's going to feign a terminal illness?
If that was the case, Raiden Ryoma admitted that Li Zihan had succeeded.
He had successfully infuriated him.
"Due to various reasons, I will next have to make contact with Otto, the Forerunner who is in seclusion within the Second Divine Key, and Kevin, who is in the Sea of Quanta."
The youth, who would indeed be contacting the aforementioned characters, calmly stated the facts.
Hearing Li Zihan's words, Raiden Ryoma's expression changed instantly.
He didn't know who Kevin or the so-called Forerunner were, but he knew very well what kind of person Otto was.

If Kevin and the Forerunner were also characters similar to Otto, then Li Zihan's claim that he didn't know how long he had left to live might actually be true.
"What are you contacting them for?"
Raiden Ryoma frowned. He disliked Li Zihan greatly, but he also didn't want to watch him go to his death.
"For some plans, I suppose."
Li Zihan smiled and said frankly.
"In short, when my plans are complete, Otto will become a reliable Overseer, and World Serpent will temporarily abandon their plans."
Stopping Otto and World Serpent?
Raiden Ryoma fell silent.

"When do you plan to contact them?"

After a long silence, Raiden Ryoma spoke.
Li Zihan looked over as a long tachi was tossed towards him from a distance.
"What's this?"
Li Zihan very easily caught the high-tech long tachi, his expression slightly astonished.
"Plasma Kagehide. Take this. Your chances of survival will probably be higher."
Before his voice had even faded, Raiden Ryoma turned and walked towards the main door.
"This is, a dowry?"
Li Zihan looked at the long tachi in his hand, and for a rare moment, his expression was a little bewildered.
