Dark Archbishop Cologne's tone was filled with anger. What was supposed to be a leisurely hunt had turned into a desperate struggle because of a Cyclops.
Stanley advanced with a sinister grin, hurling a Dark Orb toward the Vampires casting spells up ahead.
Boom!
A massive energy explosion erupted, blasting more than ten Vampires who hadn't dodged in time into bloody corpses.
The other Vampires quickly began retreating. Now, there were fewer than fifty Vampires still able to fight, with most of the others severely wounded.
Stanley swept his gaze across the battlefield and quickly spotted Li De commanding the Vampire forces at the rear.
"Perhaps you should be grateful... to die at the hands of a devout follower of the great Tyrant God!"
Stanley shouted across dozens of Blades of distance, his voice filled with unrestrained delight.
Another Dark Orb began forming in his hands.
Just then. Boom! Crack!
A loud crashing sound rang out, followed by the space where Kosso had been swallowed shattering like glass.
A giant hand burst out of the void, smashing straight into Stanley's body.
The fragile Mage Shield shattered instantly.
Cough.
Stanley vomited blood as he was sent flying backward.
Crack!
The entire fractured space collapsed. Kosso's massive form reappeared, completely unharmed by the Void Devour.
Stanley and Cologne's expressions immediately darkened.
"That damned Cyclops! His magic resistance is too high! We can't hurt him!"
Stanley's eyes burned with fury. Spellcasters dreaded facing monsters with such terrifying magic resistance.
Their powerful spells became useless, and if the enemy's attack power was high enough, they could be instantly killed.
"And his offensive strength is terrifying too. We can't keep fighting like this.
The glory of the Tyrant God must not be challenged!!"
Cologne then did something that shocked everyone.
"O great Tyrant God, your most loyal servant beseeches you for power!"
The Level 17 Dark Archbishop Cologne raised his hands high above his head and then slammed to his knees, reciting the prayer in the Profane Language of the Abyss.
Moments later.
An unspeakable gaze of divine majesty pierced through countless planes and fell upon the battlefield. Under the stunned gazes of everyone, Cologne's body began to stretch and ignite with yellow-blue flames.
Boom boom boom!
Bit by bit, he transformed.
Two Blades tall... three... five... until finally, the Level 17 Dark Archbishop stood 10 Blades tall, and his body was no longer composed of flesh and blood.
He had become a demon formed entirely of rock, wrapped in yellow-blue Abyssal flames.
A true creature of the Abyss. Magma Demon.
Cologne's entire body was now stone, the flames around him so hot that even the air seemed to twist and distort.
Every step he took burned fiery red footprints into the earth, and nearby rocks melted into lava within seconds of being near him.
Magma Demon (Transformed)
Level: 19
???
???
The attributes Li De could see were very simple, but it was precisely this simplicity that made him suck in a sharp breath.
The transformed Dark Archbishop Cologne had reached Level 19, while Kosso was only Level 16.
No time was given for thought; Cologne, now a Magma Demon, charged toward the Bronze Cyclops.
Kosso was not to be outdone. His giant single eye gleamed fiercely as he let out a deafening roar and rushed forward.
Boom!
Kosso swung his massive spiked club hard at the Magma Demon's head. The Magma Demon's right hand parried; the club, weighing several tons, failed to inflict any damage.
The Magma Demon's fist then hammered into Kosso's chest. Kosso grunted in pain, his gaze growing even more ferocious.
This was a battle between giants.
The earth shattered, mountains roared, seas raged, the entire valley seemed trapped in an endless earthquake.
The ferocious clash between the Magma Demon and the Cyclops quieted the entire battlefield.
Everyone instinctively retreated far from the battlefield. No one wanted to be accidentally trampled to death.
The land fractured under the two giants' battle.
Rumble!
Yet, something no one had expected happened.
"O great Tyrant God, your most loyal servant beseeches you for power!"
Stanley, now freed from Kosso's entanglement, once again called upon the Evil God.
Unsurprisingly, that same terrifyingly powerful aura descended once more.
The Tyrant God, Baen.
Even separated by countless planes, the oppressive power of a god suffocated everyone.
Kosso, who had been fighting evenly with the Magma Demon, suddenly shuddered violently. An intense pain gripped his soul, forcing his massive body to one knee.
Tier 5 Spell: Soul Impact.
Cast personally by the Evil God Baen across countless planes.
Even with his high magic resistance, Kosso could not withstand a Tier 5 divine spell; he was heavily injured immediately.
Stanley's face broke into a wide grin. The Descent Ritual was the Evening Bell Church's most powerful divine technique, usable only once every three months.
Its sole purpose was to allow the brief manifestation of a god's will to strike an enemy.
A single spell from a god could decide the outcome of a battle.
Seizing the opportunity, the Magma Demon grabbed Kosso's legs, swung him around like a sack, and smashed him into the ground.
Boom!
Kosso's head slammed into the earth, sending spiderweb cracks spreading and dirt and rubble flying.
After suffering the Tier 5 Soul Impact, Kosso had no strength left to resist.
The outcome was clear.
The battlefield fell into a deathly silence. Even the fearless Vampires were rendered speechless.
They no longer had the strength to defeat a Level 19 Magma Demon.
Their strongest fighters, Kosso and Emi, had been critically wounded. Who else could fight?
Li De raised his head and swept his gaze across the battlefield.
A bitter smile flashed in his eyes. To have fought to this point already meant they had exhausted everything.
Then a cold light flickered in his eyes.
"All Vampires, assemble! Prepare for attack!"
Northern warriors know no fear.
But the Vampires had also never retreated a single step!
Seeing this, Stanley could no longer suppress the grin on his twisted face, his voice full of mockery.
"Weak vampires, kneel and accept your fate!"
The Magma Demon's voice rumbled coldly.
"Death. Destruction."
The Profane Language of the Abyss was terrifying and chilling.
The air was filled with a bleak atmosphere. Regardless of injuries, every Vampire silently assembled.
Even when facing an almost invincible enemy, not a single one backed down.
Just as Li De was about to give the attack order.
A clear, mocking voice echoed through the valley.
"So weak."
"A demon that only knows how to flaunt brute strength dares boast of its might."
"What a boring battle."
Li De whipped his head around to see a woman wearing a leather miniskirt and short boots, exuding wild beauty, stepping into view.
The entire atmosphere shifted as everyone's eyes turned to her.
Clack clack clack.
The wild-eyed woman, under everyone's gaze, stepped forward and casually drew Grote's massive greatsword, lifting it effortlessly.
That tall, slender figure wielding the heavy weapon strangely felt perfectly natural, as if the sword was made for her.
The two Evil God followers frowned at the sight, not taking this sudden woman seriously.
"Stupid woman, kill her!"
The Magma Demon's voice cracked like thunder.
Stanley smirked cruelly upon hearing this and began casting simultaneously with both hands.
Two Dark Orbs formed in just one second, flying toward the wild figure holding the greatsword.
Death descended.
Stanley could already envision the woman being blown into pieces.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the fair-skinned, wild-eyed woman merely raised an eyebrow, showing no intention of retreating. Instead, she charged forward with her sword.
She slashed straight at the incoming Dark Orbs.
"Idiot!" Stanley sneered just as—
He froze.
"How…How is this possible?!"
The two Dark Orbs were directly cleaved into four pieces by the greatsword, dissipating into magical elements and vanishing.
She was completely unharmed.
A faint glow shimmered on the blade of the sword.
Stanley's heart trembled violently.
"Fearlessness! Extreme Will!! You—you're from the Northern royal family!!"
Stanley's eyes widened to the limit.
His voice turned sharp from sheer shock.
"This can't be! You need the blood of the Golden Race to recover!
How is this possible?? Is there a dragon here??"
