Orson woke up 3 days later. The summoning magic he used took a heavy toll on his body making he lose the movement of his legs. Overusing Mana damaged the body in a way that not even the most powerful spells could fix. What got damaged, was the Mana pathways themselves that carried Mana through the body. Those pathways were connected to the soul of a person, instead of their physical body.
Soul damage could only be healed by the power of a greater god. It was highly unlikely that one of them would take pity on the summoner. Therefore, Orson would never walk again.
Other than his legs, Orson was well. The only thing keeping him in the hospital was a pair of handcuffs that held him on the bed. He could easily get rid of them, but the two police officers by his door would surely stop him. Specially since he would have to flee without using his legs.
He shed a tear when he learned all his servants died protecting the lady. Even without his leadership, the goblins kept fighting until the end. He was now a summoner without any pacted creature. He failed his mission, lost his servants and was in enemy custody. He was defeated.
Farzan, Faralynn's father, entered the room after trading few words with the police.
"My lord." Orson greeted him.
The elf sat beside him and stared daggers. "The only reason you are alive is because you saved my daughter in there."
"I was only fulfilling my duty towards the Laufgraan family."
"Is this duty also to kidnap your lady?!" Farzan said angrily, but soon composed himself.
"It was the order of, your brother, lord Farin. I could not decline. But I assure you, my lord, I had no intention of hurting the lady."
"I know…" Farzan sighted. "But you do understand why I'm angry."
"Of course, my lord. I'm prepared to receive any punishment you see fit.
"You should thank your lady. Faralynn asked me to spare you of any punishment. You'll be free to go. The police will want to apply a fine for causing a disturbance in the dungeon, but we'll not hold your kidnap attempts against you, since you saved her life and of her friends."
"The lady is very merciful. Convey to her my gratitude."
"You will also be banished back to Nuilynn and forbidden to come back to Earth."
"I thank you for your grace."
"Lastly…" Farzan's voice got deeper. "Tell my brother that if try putting his dirty hands on my daughter again, I WILL wage war against him. I left to avoid leading our house into conflict, but I will not stand idle if my daughter is involved."
"I'll convey your words as were spoken." Orson said while trembling in fear. Farzan was a very powerful warrior. He did not use the system, as it was only bestowed to those on Earth, but, if he did, his level would be 60 or 70.
Farzan gave some money to Orson for his staff, which was a powerful magical item, so that he could quickly pay the fine due to the police and be deported back to his own planet, Nuilynn.
He then went back home where he found Faralynn sleeping with her head on his wife's thighs. He gave his wife a kiss and patted his daughter head. He would do anything for both of them.
"I'll offer that boy a scholarship" He said sitting down on a chair close to the sofa the other two were on.
"Matthew?" Asked the wife.
"He fought for her again. I think he'll keep her safe. Also, the two seem to be friends now. And you know how hard it is for her to make friends."
"It's a good idea. She's been really weary since she got back home. Having him in school with her will be good."
"Let's pray for it to be the last of their troubles."
