Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: In Other Words, You Stole His Childhood Friend?

Before Shin-chan and Yukino could argue out a result on the matter of whose personality needed correcting, suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

Hearing the knocking sound, Yukino's eyes lit up, 'Have they arrived? The first real request!'

As for correcting Shin-chan, Yukino temporarily had no idea; she had no way to deal with Shin-chan at all, and instead was often being taught by him both openly and subtly.

"Please come in."

The classroom door opened, and a familiar figure walked in. When Shin-chan saw him, he furrowed his brows.

Aki Tomoya.

Upon seeing Shin-chan, Aki Tomoya's face instantly stiffened, and some not-so-pleasant memories madly attacked his brain.

These past two days, Aki Tomoya had acted like a turtle hiding in its shell. The relationship between Shin-chan and Eriri, and that one word "Master" he secretly overheard, became a shadow in his heart.

Aki Tomoya realized that this time, Eriri had truly left him.

The blow from the real world made Aki Tomoya fully decide to embrace the second dimension, and he also made up his mind to create a Bishoujo of his own.

But Aki Tomoya knew very clearly that if it were just him alone, he definitely couldn't create a qualified Bishoujo. He had to rely on other people's abilities in order to realize his dream.

Art, script, music, and programming, he didn't understand any of them.

However, Aki Tomoya still went to the student council, wanting to first create a club of his own, but his request was directly rejected by the student council, and the reason was very simple.

The student council didn't think Aki Tomoya had the ability to make a game. Unless he could present a qualified project proposal and gather five club members, only then could he establish his own club.

Aki Tomoya wanted to use his old trick, doing a dogeza (kneeling apology) to Shinomiya Kaguya in the student council room to morally blackmail her.

But he forgot this was Shuchiin, not Toyogasaki. He was harshly humiliated by Shinomiya Kaguya and was nearly taken care of by Hayasaka Ai, then was introduced to the Service Club by Hiratsuka Shizuka.

Hiratsuka Shizuka, as a teacher, was still very competent. Even a hopeless guy like Aki Tomoya would be taken seriously.

Looking at the Shin-chan in front of him, Aki Tomoya stiffened all over. He wanted to resist, but didn't have enough courage.

"Do you have some matter?"

Yukino looked at Aki Tomoya, somewhat confused why he became like this as soon as he came in. 'Does he have some conflict with Shin-chan?'

"Um… I was introduced by Teacher Hiratsuka. She said this place could help me."

Aki Tomoya forcefully calmed himself down. If he couldn't create a qualified bishoujo game, Aki Tomoya felt like his whole life had no meaning.

Even with Shin-chan nearby, he still had to ask for Yukino's help.

"Since it's a request, then sit down and tell us the contents of the request."

"Shin-chan, no matter what conflict the two of you have, please resolve it privately. In the club, we only handle requests, got it?"

The gaze Yukino gave Shin-chan carried a hint of pleading. To Yukino, the Service Club's activities were an important part of upholding her beliefs.

Even the way she addressed him had changed from "Classmate Wild Boar" to "Shin-chan." If Shin-chan made some excessive demand now, she probably wouldn't refuse, right?

Shin-chan nodded, glanced at Aki Tomoya, and didn't say anything.

"My request is, I hope the Service Club can help me create a bishoujo game of my own!"

Before coming, Hiratsuka Shizuka had already told him the nature of the Service Club, that he could ask Yukino for help with any request.

'Bishoujo game?' That was Yukino's blind spot in knowledge, but she knew it was likely part of otaku culture.

"Can you explain in more detail?"

When it came time to evangelize, Aki Tomoya seemed to become a different person and began talking non-stop. This part was indeed somewhat admirable, but it also brought a lot of trouble to others.

Yukino took every request very seriously. After listening to Aki Tomoya talk a huge pile of nonsense, she could roughly understand what was going on.

"So, Aki-kun, because of an encounter, you want to use that encounter as the basis to create a game, targeting male otaku who long for love, right?"

When describing this encounter, Aki Tomoya naturally erased Shin-chan's existence, he became the one who picked up the beret.

"Pretty much, but bishoujo games aren't just for love-hungry otaku; they can also bring happiness to everyone!"

A commission that was not too difficult but not too simple, this was a decent start.

"In that case, do you have a proper plan? What about staff selection? And the funds needed to make the game, have you considered those?"

"Ah…"

Yukino's questioning struck Aki Tomoya's weak spot. He didn't have any proper plan, let alone funding.

Whether it was founding a club or seeking help from the Service Club, it was all just to freeload.

"Th-this is my project proposal. As for the team needed to make the game, I'm still recruiting. As for funding, it's still being prepared."

He originally wanted to include Eriri, but after glancing at Shin-chan, Aki Tomoya gave up on that idea.

Taking Aki Tomoya's project proposal, Yukino just glanced at it and furrowed her brows.

Calling it a proposal was giving it too much credit. It would be more appropriate to call it scrap paper. There was no planning at all, just a bunch of things unrelated to making a game. Barely over 200 words total. Who was he trying to fool?

She directly threw the so-called proposal onto the desk.

"Classmate Aki Tomoya, this is the Service Club, not a wishing machine. With a proposal like toilet paper, I have absolutely no idea how to help you."

"If you really want to make a game, then come back with a proper plan. With your current proposal, the Service Club won't accept this request."

Being told his proposal was like toilet paper, even Aki Tomoya's face darkened.

"I understand! I'll come back with a qualified proposal!"

However, Aki Tomoya quickly perked up, picked up his proposal, and made a passionate promise to Yukino.

Unfortunately, Yukino wasn't moved by his seemingly passionate attitude. She frowned and nodded slightly, saying nothing more.

Sneaking a glance at Shin-chan, Aki Tomoya picked up his proposal and left the Service Club.

"Tell me, what conflict do you have with him?" After Aki Tomoya left, Yukino looked toward Shin-chan.

"Not really any conflict. He and Eriri used to be friends, but because of his personality, he caused Eriri a lot of trouble, and they gradually stopped interacting."

"In other words, you stole his childhood friend?"

Looking at Shin-chan with a garbage-disposal gaze, Yukino wore a disgusted expression, having a falling out over a girl, how low-level was that?

Eriri was his pet, how could the word "steal" even apply here?
