Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: The Lover's Crossroads

He quickly pulled away from her body, pushing aside the lingering feelings in his heart. At least in this moment, he could only helplessly believe that he would be betrayed once again.

He couldn't figure out what this woman was thinking.

"Why do you always misunderstand what I mean?" " Ivina quickly pulled the velvet blanket over herself, covering herself completely.

"Is this a misunderstanding?" Luo's face still bore a pale smile. He picked up the obtrusive cloak from the bedside, "The Earl of Pujeao's medal is still flaunted on this cloak, yet he could be so careless as to leave it here, in your room…" The black cloak was the first thing one saw upon entering the room, and he had no desire to mention it, preferring to dismiss his own suspicions. He told himself not to hurt her anymore...

He didn't finish his sentence, and she was already in tears.

"Luo, you once generously bestowed upon me your 'care' and gave me a vampire's 'love.' Those gifts have always been deeply buried in my heart, giving me comfort and strength. But now, I want to return them all to you..."

Luo tightly closed his eyes. He wanted to walk over and wipe away her tears. But he couldn't; he couldn't tolerate his feelings being toyed with again and again.

"Everything you once gave me, I now return. And now, what I want... is only your trust." She struggled to suppress her sobs, her beautiful black eyes filled with hope as she looked at him.

"The moment you thought of leaving me, of betraying me, you no longer deserved anything I gave you. What you want, I cannot give, and I no longer wish to give..."

In the past, he had discarded women who were materialistic, greedy, and lustful; but now, he hoped that Ivina could be one of them, at least, desire could be satisfied. But tragically, if her hope was only to be free from him... he could not allow it.

"From now on, without my permission. No one can step foot here without my permission, and of course, you no longer have the freedom to act." Luo spoke without emotion, clutching the black cloak in his hand.

The moonlight outside the window cast a desolate glow over the dark land. The night sky was so quiet it was terrifying.

Why say such childish things? When facing her, he could never find a completely cold-hearted version of himself.

Perhaps only he was troubled... because she could always remain detached, abandoning her own love.

He hurriedly left Ivina's room, his thoughts in disarray.

His heart had never been so restless.

He punished the servants indirectly or deliberately hid the eyes that revealed his identity. Thinking of everything he had done for her, he even felt ridiculous.

No matter how much he conceded, he would never gain her affection... So, at this moment, he would overturn everything from the past and turn a blind eye to any pain she had endured.

"Your Majesty..." A seductive voice trembled as it came from Luo's left side.

Stopping at the bedroom door, Luo glanced sideways at the woman kneeling on the carpet.

"How did you get here?" The inner palace, with its strict security, never allowed outsiders to enter, let alone a slave. "…Before I speak, get out of my sight!" Luo's anger was evident, and even more evident was the chaos in his breathing. The passion ignited by Ivina still lingered in his body.

Damn it, why was he still thinking about her!

"Your Majesty, if I can serve you just once, this slave, Bija, would gladly pay with my life." Bija trembled nervously, her shoulders shaking. From the俯视angle, her ample bosom was fully exposed.

"I don't want to hear any nonsense! Bring her here!"

"No, please, if I cannot satisfy you, you may execute me at any time… I admire you so much…" She couldn't lose this opportunity, her only chance. If she missed it, how many more opportunities would she have to see this arrogant man again…

Bia bowed her head completely, her tea-colored curls covering her entire face.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, so eager for my embrace?" Luo knelt down, casually lifting Biya's chin with his index finger. His eyes met her startled green ones.

He truly wanted her to know how many women would go to any length to obtain the man she had rejected.

A mocking smile curled the corners of his mouth. He lifted her with one hand, and in the moment he turned the revolving door handle, a terrifying thought crossed his mind.

If, if he were holding another woman in his arms, could she still watch so calmly?

Unfortunately, tenderness no longer held any value. Thus, revenge could survive.
