"Fine, you're choosing to refuse a toast only to drink a forfeit. Fatty is giving you a chance to live."

"You don't know how to cherish, and you even use Fatty's words against us. Did you eat a bear's heart and a leopard's gall?"

The short guy was quick to speak, uttering words that were incredibly flattering and pleased Fatty immensely.

The short guy knew his Bellsprout was still very weak, so he smartly latched onto Fatty's side.

By constantly showering him with flattery, the short guy secured the second-in-command position within the team.

Qing Wu subtly made a gesture, the prearranged attack command he had given to Aron and Zubat.

Upon receiving the command, Zubat and Aron launched their attacks simultaneously.

A whirlwind suddenly and subtly rose from the ground, its raging winds messing up Qing Wu's hair.

Qing Wu stood unhurriedly, an indifferent expression on his face as he surveyed his surroundings.

"Damn it, how did this whirlwind suddenly appear?" Fatty was also baffled by the sudden storm.

"Watch out, enemy attack!!" Fatty suddenly realized, looking at the composed Qing Wu.

Qing Wu seemed to have seen through everything, nodding to Fatty, who at that moment understood perfectly.

This was Qing Wu using himself as bait, intending to capture their entire team in one fell swoop.

"Spinarak, use String Shot Dance!" Fatty quickly commanded Spinarak.

Spinarak calmly nodded, then spun threads that spread throughout the forest like a celestial maiden scattering flowers.

"This Fatty does have some skill," Qing Wu remarked, watching Spinarak use the wind to spread its silk throughout the entire forest.

Even with the strong whirlwind, Spinarak remained firmly anchored on its web, moving freely.

"Ah, ah, ah, Bellsprout, pull yourself together!" The short guy suddenly discovered his Bellsprout had fallen to the ground, utterly unconscious.

Bellsprout had a sharp wound on its head, from which green liquid continuously flowed.

"When did this happen?" The short guy looked around. What he failed to notice, Qing Wu saw clearly.

He saw Zubat silently approaching Bellsprout, using the tailwind to its advantage.

Before Bellsprout could react, Zubat flapped its sharp wings, sending transparent wind blades striking Bellsprout's body.

After Bellsprout collapsed, Zubat quietly vanished as if it had never been there.

"My Spinarak's Grand Web formation has been laid. Now we just wait for your Zubat to enter this net,"

Fatty chuckled sinisterly, a chilling smile on his chubby, contorted face, like that of a venomous snake.

"As early as I entered the training camp, I knew how troublesome Flying-type Pokémon could be. That's why I created this move, teaching Spinarak to use the wind to spin its silk,"

Fatty declared smugly.

"Unfortunately, I don't just have one Pokémon," Qing Wu murmured, as giant rocks rained down from the sky.

The web was instantly shattered, and Spinarak frantically dodged the falling rocks.

Meowth, however, dodged with agility, and used Fury Swipes to directly smash the falling rocks into several pieces.

This, in turn, made Qing Wu regard this Meowth with newfound respect.

"There's actually another Pokémon!" Fatty was momentarily stunned. Realizing this, a fierce glint flashed in his eyes.

"Spinarak, use Poison Sting directly on this person!"

Fatty pointed at Qing Wu and yelled. Then, he pulled out Pokémon stored in his bracelet and released them: three Beedrill.

"You guys also hurry and release your other Pokémon!"

Fatty's battle instincts were extremely sharp. Sensing something was amiss, he quickly urged his companions to release their other Pokémon.

Two Spearow and two Oddish were released. Qing Wu watched as the tall guy released his Pokémon, which turned out to be an Electrike.

After emerging from its Poké Ball, this Electrike happily ran to the tall guy's pant leg, playing and roughhousing with Meowth.

The annoyed Meowth gently slapped Electrike's head with a paw, signaling the little one to stop messing around.

"So they've captured an Electrike now." Qing Wu found it difficult to reconcile the Electrike before him with the Manectric that would later dominate the scene.

In his previous life, whenever Qing Wu saw Manectric's eyes during meetings, they were always filled with hatred and indifference towards humans.

That Manectric was also a high-level Elite-ranked Pokémon; after Mega Evolving, it possessed power comparable to a top-tier Elite.

"All of you, attack! Kill him!" Fatty commanded his Pokémon.

However, these Pokémon seemed not to hear Fatty's commands. Instead, they bared their fangs and claws at Fatty himself.

These unruly Pokémon had not been tamed by Fatty's group.

The Beedrill aimed their abdomens at Fatty, continuously shooting their stingers. The Spearow banned their sharp claws.

Even the Oddish shook its leaves, scattering purple poisonous powder.

If not for Fatty's Spinarak loyally protecting its master, Fatty would very likely have been publicly impaled by the Beedrill's stingers, bleeding to death on the spot.

But the loyal Spinarak was pierced through its body by a Beedrill's stinger, and the Beedrill lifted Spinarak high into the air.

"Ah!" Seeing Spinarak impaled by the Beedrill's stinger.

The gleaming stinger stopped about a centimeter away from Fatty. Spinarak was struggling with great effort, its body twitching.

Seeing this, Fatty threw the Poké Ball in his hand and scurried away, scrambling to escape.

As its body twitched, Spinarak watched with its own eyes as its trainer abandoned it, fleeing in a panicked, disorganized retreat.

"Koffing, use Self-Destruct!" The skinny guy, seeing Fatty flee, found all the Pokémon's eyes turn to him.

The skinny guy knew the Pokémon were targeting him for their rage, so he quickly ordered Koffing to use Self-Destruct.

With a deafening boom, countless plumes of smoke erupted.

When the smoke cleared, both the skinny guy and the short guy had vanished. The tall guy, who had also tried to escape, found a Zubat blocking his path.

Koffing's Self-Destruct had not inflicted much damage on the Pokémon on the field.

"Aron, take care of the Pokémon on the field," Qing Wu instructed.

Aron burst directly from the ground. It turned out Aron had already burrowed underground, ambushing near Qing Wu to protect him.

"Rock Clamp!" Qing Wu gave the command. This was a custom skill Qing Wu had created, combining Rock Tomb and Rock Slide.

These two skills, appearing simultaneously, were like two rocks clamping together, inflicting immense damage on the Pokémon.

After taking care of these Pokémon, Qing Wu walked not far from the tall guy and used his system to scan the tall guy's Pokémon.

{Meowth (dark yellow), poisoned}

{Electrike (dark green)}

{P.S.: To prevent dear readers from accusing me of padding the word count, I will only briefly mention the basic Pokémon data, excluding the protagonist's Pokémon.}

Meowth faced the approaching Qing Wu, shielding the tall guy and Electrike behind it, revealing its claws from beneath its paws.

"I bear no ill will," Qing Wu told the tall guy.

"I'm here to help you," Qing Wu added as his second statement to the tall guy.

Qing Wu took out the Poké Balls Fatty had left behind and, one by one, recalled the defeated Pokémon into them.

Only the impaled Spinarak remained on the scene, green blood steadily trickling from the wound pierced by the Beedrill's stinger.

Spinarak's blood dripped onto the ground, forming a small puddle.

"Good, no internal organ damage," Qing Wu murmured, glancing at Spinarak's wound. Pokémon with green aptitude were quite rare.

Spinarak lay motionless on the ground, its eyes lifelessly staring at Qing Wu, its former enemy.
