POV: Paul Greyrat
Life just never seemed to make sense for Paul Greyrat. He just could never understand where he belonged or how he fit into the world itself. Living the life of a noble was never his forte no matter how much his father tried to beat Asuran etiquette into his skull. Life shouldn't be too complicated, all he wanted was to practice swordplay and have fun with the fair maidens. He didn't want his life planned out for him doing things that would strip him of the freedom to enjoy what he wants.
His father just wouldn't get it no matter how many times they fought.
Then that old bastard Augusta didn't seem to understand him either. Who cares if he had the talent for it, Paul didn't want to stay cooped up as some dojo's owner teaching Water God style. Not even the tempting offer to take his beautiful daughter's hand in marriage swayed him to reconsider. Although Paul didn't hesitate to take Lilia's purity before fleeing the dojo just to spite that old bastard for basically kidnapping him to become his student.
Then there was that monster of a woman. Her looks and figure were downright gorgeous, but her strength with the Water God style far surpassed anything he could possibly imagine. As expected of the Water God herself, but he persevered and managed to deflect her attacks long enough to escape.
Yes, he had parried the Water God's blade and survived to tell the tale. Not that he'll brag about it lest she pettily comes after him to rectify the rumor. But Paul had to admit that he got a bit too big for his britches with that achievement. The other small fry adventurers just couldn't measure up to his swordplay and his higher-than-average rank at the Adventurer's Guild made him a cut above the rest when exploring in the Asura Kingdom's territories.
So, could anyone blame him for getting hotheaded when some random old fart with a rank below his came up demanding that they form a party together?
Well, considering he was now forever bound to his new old fart of a boss, he can clearly say that he could personally blame himself for his current predicament. Paul didn't get the gist of his position until it was spelled out to him by the boss. So basically, he was now his boss' slave as a Familiar and it would be his new job to assist his boss in all of his slaving endeavors with whatever skillset he could provide.
Swordplay. That was the only skill that his boss said could contribute to his cause.
Paul didn't know what to feel besides acceptance and joy that his deeds will be rewarded which was strange since he thought that he'd be pissed for once again getting beaten and forced to go along with another's plans for the future. But any misgivings for his predicament simply wouldn't surface and questions toward said misgivings died once he received his first reward courtesy of the boss's hot red head wife's magic.
Rey Valentine, a broadsword wielding woman created from enchanting magic upon an old dull blade.
Paul was astonished at the feat for creating such a beautiful big-breasted woman out of thin air just for him, and the promise of more to come only endeared him more to prospect of serving his new boss.
"You're the first Familiar that I own, so I'll be blunt. You're my responsibility and you will be working under me for the foreseeable future as one of my best fighters. Your allegiance is only to me with any others outside of my retinue being secondary at best. Right now, I intend to make a name for our party and bolstering our strength from there. If you work well to the best of your ability, I will support your desires within reason and take any women that you wish to make yours under my protection. Just train well, work hard and you too will enjoy the luxury of having a harem."
His boss had him at harem. Of course, Paul had to be given a strict lecture afterward about what was and wasn't acceptable behavior when forming one along with the women he was barred from going after. That list included the likes of people who he's never heard of, and the women that would catch his fancy that weren't made by the boss's wife would have to consent to his ministrations and he'd have to be serious about them before engaging in sex.
So, no sex with a stranger, only his wives or those he intends to make his wife.
Either way, Paul was more than glad with his current lot in life after voraciously indulging in carnal acts with Rey, who was so inviting and sweet enough to coax every last drop out of him. If Paul had to be honest, it was like his new lover was made for him and it made all of his subsequent late night stands pale in comparison. Had the boss left Rey to tend to his urges before unveiling the truth about his predicament as a slave then Paul would have dropped to his knees and pledged his loyalty the morning after.
Though this did make Paul more than reluctant to get out of bed to work. Big breasts were simply the breast! They were soft to touch, wonderful to suck, and made for wonderful pillows~! And to think that he could gain so much more just for doing his part well, Paul was just ecstatic for the future.
Until his boss had him stuck lugging around a large turtle shell while doing all of their jobs down at the Guild Hall. From menial delivery jobs to monster hunting, Paul would never escape the 40 kilos strapped to his back.
He had asked his boss why he was even training this way and the response he got was, "Because you're weak and as one of my first familiars, you need to be up to at least an appropriate level to where I can consider you a physical threat to one of this world's Great 7 powers. So, you will be working on your physical strength without the aid of Touki. Are we clear?"
Then Paul asked Michael what Touki was and from there his training intensified because Luke deemed him too much of a muscle brain to ever figure out the answer to that question on his own. It was a nightmare to try and keep up with his boss's training regimen and the only person helping him get by was Rey who happily tended to his frustrations in bed.
"There you go, hon…just let it all out. Oh my~! You're really going hard on me today, what are you still trying to get me pregnant? Awwww~! That's adorable, but sad for you that I'm sterile. Good effort though, I love seeing you get worked up."
Paul had never felt so enflamed to ruin a woman more than Rey with how her goading words called into his question his tactics in bed. Before this, he'd usually just fuck any woman into a drooling mess but after the first time Rey had gotten accustomed to ferocious fucking and began to constantly turn the tables on him. It wasn't fair that was left whimpering and crushed underneath the hips of his lover whenever he lost the edge in the middle of the night and so he pushed himself to better his skills by actually looking up and researching ways to satisfy his partner beyond fucking them just to mainly please himself.
…Then he realized after eight weeks had passed that he was essentially undergoing more training.
Both in battle and in bed, Paul was pushing himself to his limits and for the first time, he found himself enjoying the fruits of his training.
He had gotten better at pleasing his woman, his swordplay particularly in Sword God was developing as Michael was beginning to teach him advanced forms of it (Paul had no clue how his boss suddenly gained this much knowledge so suddenly considering he was just as good as Paul after their first spar), and his physicality was getting so much better that he began to notice that he can begin to move massive boulders without the aid of Touki.
There was actual progress being made and Paul couldn't help but wonder just how much farther he could go.
Plus, their rank as a party grew to the rank of C after the three of them had done enough jobs individually to contribute to the promotion. Now they were one of the few top ranked parties in the Fittoa region, and currently they were undertaking a grave B-rank mission. A dangerous band of bandits from the North have taken refuge at the Red Dragon's Upper Jaw. Three confirmed merchant caravans have been raided and missing people reports of their sudden disappearance through the passage confirmed of the bandit group's activity.
The giver of the job was the wealthy owner of a mercantile company whose son was amongst one of the caravans that went missing, and their job was to deal with the bandits and confirm the son's status. They prepared for the long trip up north which would take them about a week to reach on foot or two days by horse.
Fortunately, they could be there in a little over two or three minutes thanks to the boss's flying clouds. Paul still had no clue how his magic worked, but eh, he wasn't a mage in the first place, so he chose not to question it. So, after the boss parted ways with his wife, he also set off to fly toward the north (seriously, what kind of magic were they using to do that?), the boss took him and Rey to Upper Jaw roadway.
It was downright a straightforward path to the next country over, but they came across their fair share of roadblocks that further solidified their quest's purpose.
"Alright you fucks…" Sneered a disheveled man in worn leather armor, holding chipped sword. He was joined by a group of 8 other dirty punks who were eyeing them (especially Rey) up. "50 silver asura coins per person if you want a safe trip through the pass. Or if you're looking for a discount, then cough up 35 silver asura coins per person and allow your lady friend to keep me and the fellas happy while we lead you to the North."
Paul clenched his teeth at blatant pass toward his woman but his boss signaled for him to stay his hand.
"Ah, so that's how they're running things. Extortion. If these assholes were to have taken control and locked down the area, then the kingdoms from the north and south would have taken more drastic measures." The boss sighed in disgust and shook his head. "Rey, deal with the trash."
"As you wish, master." Rey slowly drew out her broadsword-.
"Eh? Are you lot fucking dumb? Give up your money or you'll deal with the full might of Saikon's cre-…huh?" -then heads began to roll.
*THUD!* *THUD!* *THUD!* *THUD!* *THUD!* *THUD!* *THUD!* *THUD!*
At once, all 8 of the bandits were decapitated as all of their standing bodies slowly crumpled to the ground. There was naught but a sound emitted from Rey's blade as she sheathed her spotless blade with a radiant smile.
"Good job, Rey." Michael smiled and clapped his hands. "That was a splendid Longsword of Sound."
"I'm only as good thanks to your tutelage, master." Rey bowed.
"Don't discredit yourself, Rey. Your efforts deserve praise so accept them and keep growing, okay? I'm sure that Irene will be happy to hear of your progress when we see her again."
"Y-Yes, master!" Rey nodded then turned to Paul with a cheeky smile. "And Paul what do you think?"
Paul rolled his eyes, "I think…I can do better than that. If the boss had commanded me to do it, they would have already been dead by the time they had spoken a word." He had to keep up appearances and fight down that bit of jealousy that Rey was already a Saint leveled swordsman from Michael's teaching while he was still trying to break the barrier of being in the advanced rank.
"Oh, sweet. That's perfect then Paul since you're volunteering just handle all of the bandits that decide to cross our path until we reach the leader." Michael chuckled.
"Wait, all of them? By myself?" Paul stuttered.
"Yep, consider this part of your training. Try to execute a Longsword of Sound without Touki, then I'm sure you'll pull off a Longsword of Light with it." Michael nodded.
"Bu-But all by myself, boss? That's going to be a pain with this turtle shell on my back…" Paul groaned.
"Exactly, you'll be put under stress, and forced to grow beyond your limits! So, this whole mission will be the perfect opportunity for you, Paul!" Ugh, Paul knew it was a lost cause. Once those weird green spirals in the boss's eyes begin to glow, he gets too worked up to ever listen to his complaints.
"Y-Yeah, I guess…" Paul sighed.
"Then lets get to it, guys." Michael nodded and strode past Rey down the highway road. "By the way make sure to leave at least one alive in the next batch so we can figure out who this Saikon guy is."
"Yes, sir." Rey saluted.
"Y-Yes, sir…" Paul groaned, beating himself up for putting his own ass through the fire like that. He's gotten used to the heavy weight on his back, but he still wasn't used to his lack of speed and mobility. Thankfully the rogues that took over the passage weren't even close to matching his handicapped skill level.
At Michael's insistence, Paul did spare one bandit who spilled everything they knew about their leader Saikon just at the promise that they wouldn't cut him down. Instead, Michael disintegrated him with that odd blast of his touki (at least, Paul thinks its touki because it felt similar yet dissimilar at the same time.
What they could gleam from the information was terrifying. The bandits were led by an Ogre named Saikon the Dreadnaught. Already their foe was someone who came from one of the stronger races in the world, the Ogre tribe. He's heard tale of how the younger spawn of Ogres can obliterate whole trees with single blows.
The fact that one was far away from the Biheiril Continent, the second worst place to live in the world right after the Magic Continent, spoke of how rare it is that one was even around in the first place. But Paul didn't fear that the boss would lose though, no, whatever the boss used to bind him had killed any doubt in his power.
What had Paul terrified was…
"Ah, an Ogre. Now that is the perfect sparring partner for you to test your skill, Paul. Don't worry, I won't let him kill you, but you will be fighting with everything you've got, understood?" The fact that he'd be the one forced to face the Ogre on his own and while handicapped by the heavy god forsaken turtle shell on his back.
Paul's dread to face the Dreadnaught worsened once they finally managed to cross the great expanse of the road before them for two hours before going off route to find the main bandit camp courtesy of the boss's magic to create clones that can shapeshift into insects and birds to do recon for him. Upon their arrival, they were beset by a couple of bandits, but not more than that.
The entrance to the camp was sparse with a lack of combatants to see the hubbub that they made.
"That's odd. Haven't they noticed the commotion?" Rey frowned while wiping bandit's blood off of her blade. The noise of combat was distant yet close to their position.
"They should have but…" The boss grunted and concentrated before his eyes widened. "It looks like we're not the only ones who took this job."
"Huh?"
"Really?"
"Yup." Michael nodded. "So, we'd better double time over there quickly before she steals your kill, Paul."
"She? Who? What are you talking about bo-?" Paul didn't even get the chance to finish as Michael grabbed him by the shoulder and pressed to fingers to his head.
"Rey, kill the bandits and set free any captured hostages and slaves you can find."
"Yes, master." Rey playfully saluted and blurred deeper into the camp.
"Good now let's go, Paul."
"But bo-!" Paul blinked in surprise as their surroundings instantly changed. Now he was standing beside Michael while watching a monster of a red skinned ogre try to combat a rather alluring looking woman…
Huh, wait, those ears were pointed. An elf? Is that who the boss meant by "she" earlier?
"Hey, who the fuck are you two?" Ah, they weren't the only ones here since flocks of the main bandit force were either staying a huge distance away from the battle between the ogre and the elf or failing to assist their ogre boss while getting smashed into glops of bloody flesh by his massive, spiked club.
"Go ahead and help her out, Paul. I'll deal with the grunts." Michael yawned and unsheathed his iron blade. One flick of his wrist later and five bandits were bisected with minimal effort on the man's part. This got other panicking and trying to charge them, but their attempts at resistance were futile. Already half of their number were dead around the second Paul charged in to join deathmatch between the elf and ogre.
"GRAARGH! What is this!? Another pest, I swear I will add your skull to my collection of codpieces after I'm done with this contemptuous woman, boy!" The ogre's malice filled roar sent a shudder down Paul's spine after one of his blades bounced off the bandit leader's thick, durable skin. He gulped as he retreated backwards, barely dodging the backhanded swing of the monster's fist that destroyed a row of trees that stood behind him.
"Now now, sweetie~! Don't be such a wet blanket, I'm flexible enough to handle a threesome between you two strapping men." Paul didn't know whether to feel exasperated, aroused, or frightened with how the elf had phrased that. The look she gave him made him question whether she was serious about that comment before her red eyes dangerously sharpened. "Fortunately for this young, handsome boy, I'll guide his hand and teach him how to properly please a woman."
"Y-You mean that through battle, yes?" Paul sweatdropped. He definitely wasn't interested in doing the dirty with an Orc especially with this alluring elf joining in.
"My my, I'm afraid you'll just have to figure that out on your own boy. Now…follow me~!" Paul chose to just jump in with the teasing elf with renewed vigor as his new partner played the perfect role for him in combat.
The damn turtle shell was a hindrance for his mobility and so Paul had to choose his few attacks with enough planning. He rushes in using Sword God style to attempt to cleave the Ogre's arm off with his blade, but yet again his blade could not pierce the monster's thick skin. He didn't possess enough velocity to execute a proper Longsword of Sound.
Which is why he went for the next best thing if he couldn't cleave the muscle: Saikon's joints. They held less resistance and were thin enough to bisect. Running on all fours like a dog, Paul fell back to his North God style to evade the shockingly swift speeds of Saikon's pounding club that made heavy gouges into the tough earth beneath them.
"Pesky, little-!" Saikon growled and quickly raised his club to block the well-timed thrust of the elf's estoc.
"Ah-ah-ah!" The elf tutted. "You're fighting the both of us, you know, hunk~!"
Saikon's rage grew as he now set his sights on the elf, who was surprisingly able to tank the blows of that massive club with her frighteningly small buckler. That shield withstood the blows when it had no right to when the Ogre seemed to be putting all of his brute strength into crushing his like a grape.
"Wow, she's a good tank…" Paul muttered to himself, before sheathing his blade and taking a wide stance. One strike, if he can just focus on not having to dodge, Paul was confident that he could execute a Longsword of Sound and take a limb.
He inhaled, then exhaled.
Took one step forward…then advanced!
…Until he stumbled into one of the massive potholes that Saikon's club created from earlier. His blunder was noticed by their foe, who wasted not time to spin on his heel and wildly swing his club, which was larger than Paul's body, backwards at him.
"Boy!" The elf cried in concern and raced to reach him before his upper torso was splattered into blood and guts across the trees of the forestry around them. Too bad that she was too slow.
*Gooooooooooooooooooooong~!*
And thank God that this turtle shell on his back was durable as fuck! Paul shuddered as his attempt to use the turtle shell as a last-minute shield had worked but he still felt the brunt of the attack. The damned hindrance didn't even crack from the blow.
"Fuck! Just what magic did the boss pull just to transform a strand of his hair into becoming such a fucking hard and heavy shell!?" Paul growled in frustration and pushed off the club, trying to smash. He also relinquished the turtle shell as well during the motion in order to give himself the time and mobility to follow through with his plan of attack.
Taking one more step, Paul concentrated his touki to surround his legs then moved as fast as his now unburdened body could to cleave through Saikon's ar-.
Darkness. Paul felt his body move through the motions, but he couldn't quite see where he was anymore. The only thing that made sense for him to do was follow rely on his body memory to execute a swift swing of his sword. He had felt his blade cleave through something but he still couldn't glean anything from the darkness that took over his vision.
"FUUUUUUUUUUUCK! MY AARM!"
Until light and color had returned to him, and he found himself standing across the wailing form of Saikon now clutching a bloody stump where his club wielding arm used to be.
"Impressive bladework there, cutie." The elf whistled with a salacious smile. "If I had known that you were a Sword Saint, then I wouldn't have bothered to panic back there."
A-A sword saint? But that didn't make sense, Paul looked at his own hand and gaped at the realization that what he had just executed wasn't the Longsword of Silence, but in actuality, the Longsword of Light.
"Ho-How?" Paul muttered in amazement as a grin etched itself upon his face. Sad for him that Saikon didn't seemed to deterred from his brutal "disarming".
"YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT, I'M GOING TO FUCKING SKULL FUCK YOU INTO THAT ELVEN WHORE'S CU-!"
"Okay, I think that's enough from you pal."
*Shiiiing~!* *THUD!* *THUUUUUUD!*
Ah, the boss was done wiping out the bandit mooks. Wait, Paul knew how fast the boss was and came to the conclusion that he was simply watching them fight Saikon from the sidelines… The elf and Paul watched Michael decapitate the ogre's head and grasp it mid-fall just as their lifeless body hit the ground.
"I would congratulate you, Paul, but you took off the shell without my permission." Michael sighed.
"B-But boss, I just pulled off a-!"
"I know, I saw it and that was supposed to be a surprise until after you were done with the weight training. Looks, I'm gonna have to up your training with something much worse…hope you like white voids and contemplating your existence because you're going straight into the hyperbolic time chamber for a whole month." Michael grinned, evilly.
"W-Wait, what? What even is a Hyperbolic Time Chamber?" Paul sputtered in terror.
"Oh, you'll see." Paul gulped at that foreboding promise. "But at least pat yourself on the back for pulling that off before my estimated time frame of a couple of months. I didn't think a couple weeks of weighted training would push you this far, but you're as much of a prodigy as me. So, take pride in that…"
Paul felt hard not to, but he dreaded the hellish training that would further come from his talent sharpening his swordplay.
…Hey, wait a minute, where was the elf that fought alongside him. Paul searched around for the blonde long-earred woman, but couldn't quite pinpoint her locat-.
"Mmmmmmmmph! O-Oooooough~! Mmmmmm!" Ah, nevermind. Looks like the boss got to her just after decapitating Saikon. Now she was being sucked and pulled into his shroud with a care for the squirming woman, who's every hole was getting casually violated by the manifestation of the monkey-tailed man's will. Paul would have expected her to be distraught or even terrified to be sucked up and assaulted by the shroud's tentacles, but no...she actually seemed to enjoy it...
...Well, its not like someone like him should judge another sexually perverse individual's preferences.
"Was that lewd elf really important enough to capture, boss?" Paul queried.
"More than you know, Paul. She's actually pretty crucial for my future plans with the Dragon God…Plus, she has a nice ass and thighs so I'm very motivated to make her a proper wife."
"Yeah, I guess that makes…Hold on, we're going to be dealing with the Dragon God!?" Paul screeched in surprise.
"Oh, did I forget to mention that to you?"
"Yes! Yes, you did!" Paul groaned.
"Oops, well, now you know I guess." Michael shrugged. Paul could only slump forward in exhaustion. "Anyways, lets return back to the main camp. I figure that Rey's already done with clearing out the stragglers and gathering up the kidnapped merchants and hostages."
"…Ugh…" Paul kept groaning the entire day. They did manage to secure the hostages, stolen goods and confirm that the merchant's son was indeed alive. Plus, they were now up a party member with Elinalise Dragonroad as their new tank. She was actually an adventurer who was traveling from the northern countries before taking on a similar mission to retrieve the kidnapped travelers that Saikon and his bandits had taken captive during their squatting at the Red Dragon's Upper Jaw. It just happened that they coincidentally raided their camp around the same time that she did.
But that wasn't too important anymore since she was now basically bound to the boss which was good for her all things considering. Why you all may ask? Well, it was because Elinalise was a major slut whose libido dwarfed even his own. She seemed friendly and happy to make his and Rey's acquaintance, but she was downright handsy whenever the boss around.
The trip back to escort the hostages to the Citadel of Roa took them 2 weeks on foot and during that time, every night, the boss and Elinalise loudly fucked like animals through each night until dawn. Paul had gotten it into his head to compete by trying to fuck Rey just as loudly, but he gave up once they had managed to outlast him beyond his standard 2-hour mark by instead going for 6 hours straight.
So, yeah, the those two were extremely and physically compatible with one another. Or they were just that sex crazed, Paul didn't really choose to care that much. Once they had returned to the city, they happily cashed in on their mission by also showing proof that they indeed slay "Saikon the Dreadnaught". With their wallets filled, Paul was finally ready to enjoy the town with Rey then enjoy bedding Rey afterwards.
…But fate had other plans for him.
"Q-Quick! All adventurers prepare yourselves! A call to bear arms has been established by the Guild with backing from the Boreas Greyrat Household! A group of 3 Red Dragons have been blown off their course from the Red Dragon Mountain Range! Please follow the directions given by the noble house's knights and convene with the army to deter and slay the beasts! Refusal is not an option!" Olivia screamed out through the Guild.
Many of the low-leveled adventurers were frightened at the prospect of facing an S-rank monster with no prior warning. This was the natural response that any normal person should have…
"Put your turtle shell back on, Paul. Tonight, we dine on red dragon stew." His boss's demented smile grew at the prospect of (no shocker!) sending him out push his limits and fight a group of opponents way out of his league.
…
…Fuck…
Paul wondered what he exactly did recently that deserved such a new hectic and chaotic life style that left him bordering on the brink of sanity and death.
