Summoned by Kamachli, the warriors of Sandia quickly assembled.
This generation of Sandian fighters, led by War Ghost Wyper, Mantis Kamachli, Braham, and Lucky, had long been fighting against the priests of the Upper Yard and the divine guards. To the residents of Skypiea, they were known as "guerrillas."
The Sandians were originally the natives of Jaya Island. Four hundred years ago, they were brought to Skypiea along with half of Jaya due to the Knock Up Stream. Ever since, they had been exiled by the Skypieans who claimed the upper half of the island. Although the Sandians had physically adapted over the centuries—developing wings similar to the Skypieans—they never forgot the will of the great warrior Kalgara.
For four centuries, the Sandians had fought to reclaim their homeland and ring the Golden Bell once again, continuing their fierce resistance against the Upper Yard, now occupied by the so-called God Enel.
Originally, their skirmishes with the priests were evenly matched. But everything changed when Enel arrived. After defeating the previous ruler and seizing the Upper Yard, Enel's overwhelming power plunged the Sandians into near despair.
The reason Enel hadn't wiped out the Sandians wasn't due to inability—but disinterest. To Enel, they were too weak to pose a threat. Yet they brought occasional amusement to his otherwise boring divine rule.
After all, they were the only ones in the land of the so-called "God" who still dared to resist.

"Wyper, have you really made up your mind?" Lucky asked with worry in her voice.
"Yes. This may be our last chance, Lucky," Wyper said as he slung his Burn Bazooka over his shoulder. Turning to rally the fighters, he shouted, "Warriors of Sandia! We've waited four hundred years. Today, our chance to reclaim our homeland has arrived!"
"To reclaim our homeland, charge!"
"To relight the flames of Shandora, charge!"
"For the great warrior Kalgara, charge!"
Under Wyper's command, the Sandian warriors surged forward, storming back into the Upper Yard.
---
"Lucky, don't go!"
As Lucky prepared to follow the others, a little girl grabbed her arm. It was Aisa, trembling and teary-eyed.
"Aisa, what's wrong?" Lucky bent down and gently held her.
"I'm scared... I want you to stay with me. Please don't go..." Aisa said pitifully.
"I'm sorry, Aisa," Lucky replied, hugging her tightly. "Wyper is right. Enel has met someone strong—someone who can match him. This might be our only shot. I can't let it go."
"But... you'll lose!" Aisa cried out, panicked.
"She might be right," said the Sandian Chief, approaching slowly. His eyes were fixed on the massive Giant Jack, where thunder clashed with fire. "Aisa was born with the ability to sense people's presence—Mantra—and sometimes she sees glimpses of the future. Maybe this battle won't end how we hope."
"Chief, you know we can't defeat Enel alone. This is the best chance we'll ever get." Lucky placed Aisa into the chief's arms and nodded. "Please take care of her."
"...Alright. Tell Wyper to be careful," the chief said heavily.
"Yes." With that, Lucky turned and ran to catch up with the others.
"Lucky! Waaah!" Aisa burst into sobs.
The chief gently patted her head and said, more to himself than to Aisa, "They'll be okay. They have to be..."

At the summit of Giant Jack, on the God's Shrine, the fierce battle between Ace and Enel continued.
"Blue Sea dweller... give it up. You can't beat me, and I can't beat you either," Enel said coolly. "Join me. With your strength, we could rule the endless Vearth together."
"I already told you—I'm not interested in conquering anything," Ace smirked. "Besides, I was just testing a few techniques I've developed over the past year. You think that's all I've got?"
Buzz...
Ace's fists clenched as they were coated in invisible Armament Haki, and he looked calmly at Enel.
"Let me show you the true power wielded by the strong on the seas below."
Whoosh!
In a flash, Ace vanished—reappearing directly in front of Enel—and drove his Haki-infused fist straight into his opponent's face.
"It's useless. You can't hit a—"
Bang!
Before Enel could finish his sentence, Ace's punch smashed into his face, sending him flying. Enel crashed into the clouds with a stunned, disbelieving expression.
"Im... Impossible! How can you hit me?!"
This wasn't the first time Enel had taken a hit—both the Giant Pillar of the Temple and Ulki's strange Devil Fruit had damaged him before—but he never worried. To him, those were mere flukes, incapable of defeating a god.
But Ace was different.
Ace had a Logia-type power, just like him. If someone like Ace could hit him—someone of equal elemental power—it meant he could be defeated. That was a truth Enel couldn't accept.
Because he was God.
And gods weren't supposed to lose—especially not to mortals with similar "divine" powers.
"I told you—Logia powers aren't invincible." Ace stepped forward slowly. "On the Blue Sea, people who can counter Logia powers are everywhere. Haki is common among the strong."
"Lies!" Enel shouted, panicked. Crackling thunder burst from his entire body as he transformed, growing larger and more terrifying.
"20 Million Volts: Amaru!"
Towering over 50 meters tall, Enel had become a thunder-wrapped lightning god.
"You caught me off guard once, but it won't happen again! God cannot be defeated!"
Ace shook his head sadly, his body now wrapped in swirling flames. "You know, Enel... those who can't accept failure can never become truly strong."
