Asta's charge was like a devil tiger pouncing into a flock of sheep. The once-arrogant Diamond Kingdom bandits erupted into sheer panic.
"Scatter! Don't group up!"
The bandit leader, a burly man with a green turban, roared desperately. His keen battle sense had picked up on Asta's one obvious weakness—he couldn't fly! No magic, no broom, no sky advantage.
"If we spread out, he can't chase us all!"
"Brilliant plan, boss!"
The bandits dispersed in chaotic glee, their dense formation scattering like startled birds. But reality crashed in fast—less than fifty remained out of the original five hundred-man force.
"You think of that now? Too late!"
Asta launched himself into the air, muscles taut with raw physical power. The nearest bandit was a full thirty meters away, but before gravity could reclaim him—
SHWIP!
A space portal opened mid-air. Finral was floating on his enchanted broom, sweat trickling down his face as he manipulated spatial magic with pinpoint precision.
"Now's the time to surpass my limits! Let's go, Asta!"
Every time Asta leaped, Finral opened a portal to the next closest enemy, shifting space to allow his sword-wielding comrade to close impossible distances. The coordination was insane. So was the magic cost.
"He's teleporting?! That's cheating!"
The bandits screamed as Asta flickered between portals like death itself. One second, thirty meters away. The next—BANG—he was right in front of them, anti-magic sword cleaving through enchanted armor like paper.
"W-Who said four-leaf clover Kingdoms were full of sheep?! I want to go home!"
Red Turban, the second-in-command, nearly wept as he watched his elite mages fall like dominoes. Their mid-level elemental spells were useless—shattered on contact with Asta's Demon-Dweller Sword and Demon-Slayer Sword, both brimming with anti-magic energy.
"You fools! That's what happens when you rely on magic and forget physical combat exists!"
With Finral's portals behind him and the wide blade of his anti-magic swords cleaving through spells and flesh alike, Asta became a one-man army.
"Earth Magic: Tenfold Defense!"
A burly earth mage tried to buy time by encasing his body in layer upon layer of rock armor. His broom dropped under the weight, sending him crashing down—but not before Asta's sword met his chest mid-air.
"Still useless!"
CRACK! The armor shattered like brittle clay, and the bandit screamed as he was flung away like a rag doll.
"Everyone, regroup! Fight him together!"
The green-turban leader bellowed. Panic wasn't helping. At this rate, they'd all be wiped out within the minute.
"Fight to the death!"
Red Turban echoed, eyes burning with desperation. The remaining robbers hesitated—but upon hearing their captains' rallying cry, they turned to fight.
Only to see—
FWOOOSH!
Their two "brave" leaders were already fleeing in opposite directions, dragging a few unlucky souls with them as decoys.
"They ditched us?!"
A sharp-eyed mage shouted. Rage, betrayal, and despair rippled through the battlefield.
"I'm gonna stab those two in their sleep if I survive this!"
Another wailed, just as Asta burst through another spatial gate, sword glowing with anti-magic energy.
"Finral! Send me to the captains—now!"
Finral grimaced, nearing magical exhaustion. But he nodded, teeth clenched, and opened another portal in front of Asta.
The bandits left behind weren't so lucky.
"Wind Style—Kunai Barrage!"
Asta unleashed a flurry of magically nullified kunai—Black Bull style. Each weapon whistled through the air, imbued with anti-magic that shredded weak enchantments and tore through exposed targets.
"AHHH—!"
The rest of the bandits collapsed, their final cries lost in the wind.
Only Red Turban and Green Turban remained.
"Devil! He's a devil!"
Red Turban looked back—and saw that Asta was already behind him.
"Repent in hell."
Asta swung the Demon-Slayer Sword, and Red Turban barely had time to respond.
"Fire Magic: Explosive Cremation!"
It was a suicide spell. He cast it beneath his own feet, intending to burn Asta with him in a five-meter inferno.
"Too slow."
Asta dropped low, slammed his foot on the man's skull mid-cast. The fire erupted pointlessly, its core broken. The deputy's eyes rolled back as he crumpled to the ground, out cold before the flames even reached him.
"One left."
Finral was pale, his eyes stinging from sweat and mana fatigue. But he forced out one last portal.
"Don't kill me—!"
Green Turban's voice cracked as Asta landed before him, sword already raised high, charged with pure anti-magic.
BOOM!
The impact vaporized the man. A cloud of blood mist exploded outward.
Silence followed.
Every single bandit who dared threaten Longxi Village had fallen.
DING DONG!
You killed:
– 50 Second-Class Mages (Low Tier) — +10,000 points
– 300 First-Class Mages (Low Tier) — +90,000 points
– 20 Fifth-Class Mages (Mid Tier) — +12,000 points
– 10 Fourth-Class Mages (Mid Tier) — +7,000 points
Total: 119,000 point reward!
"SO. COOL!"
Asta grinned, retracting the Demon-Slayer Sword back to his grimoire. His body dropped through the air like a stone—
Only for Finral to create one final horizontal portal, catching him and redirecting him gently back onto his broom.
The skies were finally quiet.
"Nice job, Asta!"
Noelle's voice rang with excitement as she patted Asta's shoulder. He had looked absolutely unstoppable a few moments ago—charging in like a wild beast let loose, cutting down every last bandit without hesitation. His strength and speed were on another level.
"You were like a wild tiger charging into battle," she added with a small smile, cheeks slightly pink. "No one even stood a chance."
"Heh, thanks!" Asta grinned, rubbing the back of his neck. He was still panting from the intense fight, but the adrenaline in his veins hadn't quite worn off.
"L-Lady Noelle," Finral wheezed from behind, his face pale and drenched in sweat, "I'm happy you're excited, but please stop shaking me—I've used Spatial Magic thirty-two times today. I'm seriously running on fumes here!"
Noelle's eyes widened. "Oh no—then find a place to land, quick!"
She instinctively clung to Asta's arm as the height finally registered in her mind. For all her pride as a noble, she still hated flying.
"Thanks for the ride, Finral," Asta said sincerely, steadying himself as they descended.
"No problem," Finral groaned, collapsing the moment his feet touched the ground. "Just… let me rest here a bit..."
Asta and Noelle sat beside him, finally letting themselves breathe. The battle was over—for now.
"System, open the Mall!" Asta thought excitedly.
A familiar chime echoed in his mind.
Ding! 119,000 system points have been credited.
System Notification: Your points exceed the 50,000 threshold for Mall upgrade. Would you like to proceed with the upgrade?
"Heck yeah! Do it!" Asta responded without hesitation.

"The Double Tomoe Sharingan, finally!" Asta's heart raced. If he had unlocked this sooner, that invisible assassin from the Diamond Kingdom wouldn't have slipped away from right under his nose.
"Buy Double Tomoe Sharingan!"
Ding! 20,000 points deducted. Sharingan successfully upgraded.
A sudden flash of heat surged through Asta's eyes. He shut them tight as his vision shifted. When he opened them again, the single tomoe around each red iris had evolved—now two tomoe spun within each eye like dancing flames.
"Whoa..." He blinked. His surroundings instantly sharpened. He could now detect subtle mana trails in the air, almost like being able to feel magic as well as see it.
Double Tomoe Sharingan Activated:
Enhanced perception of movement
Mana trail detection
Chance to copy spells (passive)
Illusion casting probability unlocked
Visual disguise detection enabled
Asta clenched his fists in excitement. "This'll be a game-changer!"
He scrolled down to the ninjutsu next.
Fireball Jutsu, huh? He smirked.
"Looks flashy enough. Might come in handy."
Purchased Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu for 500 points.
Flame gathered in the throat, expelled with force. Power grows with chakra level.
"Let's see anyone call me just a musclehead now," Asta chuckled.
Next was something more sinister.
Mind Transfer Jutsu.
Release spiritual energy to control an enemy's body. Time varies by mana resistance. If unsuccessful, user may suffer temporary body paralysis.
Asta imagined using it in a tight spot—maybe taking control of a cocky noble mid-duel, just to make them slap themselves. He grinned.
"Definitely buying this."
Mind Transfer Jutsu bought for 500 points.
Then his gaze shifted to the most curious new item.
Chakra Flame Seed
Embed within a host to create chakra-producing pathways. Chakra growth benefits the host. You may absorb a portion of the generated chakra at will. Can be remotely deactivated.
Asta's eyes widened. "This... is insane."
If he planted this seed into his teammates—or even random villagers—and helped them cultivate chakra, he could build an entire chakra network across the Clover Kingdom... and harvest energy from it to grow stronger himself.
"Definitely something to explore long-term," he murmured. "Buy one for now."
Chakra Flame Seed purchased for 10,000 points.
Asta glanced over at Finral and Noelle, who were still resting. They had no idea how much stronger he'd just become.
His Sharingan gleamed in the sunlight. He clenched his fist, filled with anticipation.
"Let's see who dares stand in my way now."
