As Yu Chen remained hidden within the beautiful girl's clothing, his senses stayed sharp. He observed the group of injured students now rising, some barely able to stand, yet determined.
"Tian and some of his students are awakening… forming a battle group," Chen thought, his eyes narrowing from his hidden vantage.
He focused on the girl's body heat and pulse, using his Cell Sense ability to scan the area.
"This girl hasn't awakened. Perfect. I can remain hidden in her tight space without triggering any detection. She's the perfect host for now."
Tian stood confidently at the front, blood on his arms and a crooked smile on his lips. He had just slain another zombie using a jagged metal rod, and his body glowed faintly with system energy.
"I've leveled up again… level 2," Tian smirked.
He looked around, satisfied. He had been the first among them to awaken, gaining a system after killing his first zombie. Since then, he had quickly created a group—mostly weaker students who he used as bait and support. Each kill they got pushed him closer to another level.
"They fight for me… and I level faster. I'll rule this college. Then the city. Then the world. Money, women, and power—all mine."
Around him, other students had begun awakening, but all of them were lower-class awakenings, under his control.

"Take turns guarding the door. One mistake and we're all dead," he added, chewing on food stolen from the unawakened students earlier.
Sitting back, Tian whispered, "Tomorrow, I'll reach Level 3."
The night crept in. Wind howled against broken windows. All was still.
Meanwhile, inside the silent darkness, Yu Chen's eyes glowed within the hidden cloth of the girl.
"They've let their guard down… now is the time for me to act."
