As Chiga approached him step by step, Enel finally felt the emotion called fear.
He stretched out his hand, and a golden staff flew from behind the throne he had been sitting on. He caught it in one swift motion.
"Raigō!"
Lightning surged around the golden staff in Enel's hand. The heat of the lightning caused the staff to melt and reshape into a golden trident. Enel slammed it against the ground, as if trying to summon courage.
Chiga, however, looked at Enel's stance with a strange expression. A random thought popped into his head:

Enel didn't know what Chiga was thinking. He lunged, swinging the trident with a wild thrust.

A black rod had silently appeared in Chiga's hand. The tip of the trident struck the rod but couldn't pierce through.
Chiga's ocular power was far beyond what it had been during his days in the Marines. Back then, even Gion could break his black rod with Armament Haki. But now, that level of force couldn't even scratch it.
Chiga batted the trident aside with the black rod, twisted his wrist, and drove it hard into Enel's abdomen.
Puchi!
The rod pierced through cleanly. Enel staggered back, clutching the rod with both hands. He looked up at Chiga in disbelief.
Once again, this so-called god had been injured—this time by a simple physical strike. Ever since eating the Goro Goro no Mi and gaining the power to elementalize, how long had it been since he was wounded by a mere physical attack?
Chiga looked at Enel's face and smirked, understanding his shock.
"Still think you're a god?"
"Cough... cough... You bastard... I won't let a mortal mock a god!"
Enraged by Chiga's disdain, Enel gritted his teeth, enduring the strange interference from the black rod. He pulled it out of his abdomen with trembling hands.
Finally, blood staining the rod, Enel yanked it free and flung it aside. He glared at Chiga, then transformed into pure electricity and burst out of the palace.
Chiga wasn't worried about him escaping. His ROOM ability had enveloped all of Skypiea. He could feel Enel's presence high in the sky, gathering power.
In a flash, Chiga appeared mid-air across from Enel, calmly facing the thunderous figure with a glint of pity in his eyes—pity for the weak.
Lightning crackled wildly around Enel as he roared,
These eyes... that look... I'll erase them forever! I am god! The Thunder God!
Lightning swirled violently. Enel's form changed. He grew into a massive figure—dozens of meters tall—with a swollen belly and features only vaguely reminiscent of his original face, now made of lightning.
Chiga stood with arms folded, watching the self-proclaimed Thunder God. His eyes remained still, unmoved.
Enel mistook his silence for fear and grinned arrogantly.
Yes, he thought, he was the true god. He had just been caught off guard before, tricked by this Blue Sea man.
The enormous lightning face sneered and spoke down to Chiga like an ant.
"Scared speechless? Don't worry, I'll end your misery soon."
Chiga slowly dropped his arms and stared at him coldly. Purple energy surged around him again.
Enel scoffed at the sight. He had already seen the skeletal version of Susanoo earlier. Compared to his Thunder God form, it seemed small and weak.
But the purple energy didn't stop there.
Under Chiga's control, the skeletal Susanoo grew muscle, then skin. Its form expanded further and further. Armor formed, and enormous wings stretched wide.
A three-hundred-meter-tall Susanoo now loomed in the sky, with wings that blocked out the sun.
Chiga stood within the diamond-shaped space in Susanoo's head, gazing down coldly at the "Thunder God" below, who barely reached Susanoo's knees.
"What? Is a god's power really this insignificant?"
Enel didn't answer. He was stunned, staring up at the colossal dark purple giant. Just the aura radiating from it left him breathless.
Below, the people of Skypiea could see it too.
Gan Fall looked up, stunned.
What... is that?
Conis was equally shocked, but something about it felt familiar. Then her eyes lit up with recognition.
"Grandpa Gan Fall! That's Brother Chiga! He once summoned a skeletal giant like that! It has to be him!"
Uchiha Chiga...?
Gan Fall nodded slowly. In front of such overwhelming power... could Enel really win?
AHHH! How can this be!? This is a joke!
Enel's mind snapped. He charged at Susanoo, slapping at its leg with lightning-shaped fists.
"This isn't right! I'm god! I am GOD!"
But all his efforts did was cause slight ripples in Susanoo's energy. It looked more like he was giving it a massage.
Susanoo casually lifted one leg and nudged him.
Enel flew like a comet, crashing through the palace below, reducing it to rubble.
He lay in the wreckage, dazed, eyes fixed on the sky.
"I am god... I am god..."
Chiga deactivated Susanoo and descended, floating calmly in front of him.
Saying nothing, he reached out, grabbed Enel by the neck, and activated the Rinnegan, absorbing the power of the Goro Goro no Mi into his own body. A tomoe appeared in his left eye.
With his Devil Fruit ability gone, Enel's consciousness faded. His head tilted to the side.
He was dead.
Chiga sighed and glanced once more at the fallen god.
To be honest, Enel hadn't been weak. In the anime, his loss to Luffy was purely circumstantial—a matter of fruit matchup and timing.
Had he joined the Marines, his top-tier Logia Devil Fruit—equal in strength to those of the Admirals—and his exceptional Observation Haki would've made him a prime candidate for advancement.
With proper training in combat and Armament Haki, Enel could've easily reached the level of an Admiral.
If he had become a pirate, he'd have ranked at least at Warlord level. Certainly stronger than the likes of the bloated Gecko Moria.
But with a personality like his, joining the Marines was never going to happen—and he had no real interest in piracy either. His true obsession was with the moon and the endless sky.
