"Damn humans, sealing me, the great Gyūki, for so long! This is unforgivable!" The Eight-Tails Gyūki roared, venting its pent-up anger over years of confinement as it thrashed its tentacles wildly above the ocean.
"So Killer B hasn't become a perfect Jinchūriki yet," Deidara muttered, realizing something was off. Although Killer B's incessant rapping was consistent, his fighting style had been beast-like, indicating he had been in a berserk state earlier.
"As thanks, let me send you three little bugs to the afterlife first! Then I'll return to that island, destroy the waterfall, the temple, and everything else!"
"Ahahahahaha!" Gyūki's tentacles whipped through the air as it laughed maniacally.
Never underestimate the hatred Tailed Beasts harbor toward humans. Why are perfect Jinchūriki so rare? Why do the Tailed Beasts in every village frequently lose control? It all stems from the Tailed Beasts' deep-seated malice toward humanity.
Of course, one can't entirely blame the Tailed Beasts. Who wouldn't resent being captured, imprisoned, and exploited for chakra extraction for decades? This attitude is hardly surprising.
If one were to trace the root of this issue, it would lead back to Hashirama Senju, the First Hokage. His idea of dividing the Tailed Beasts among the major ninja villages to maintain a balance of power was well-intentioned but ultimately naive and laughable in hindsight. Instead of achieving peace, it merely sowed seeds of conflict.
"Magnet Release: Iron Sand World Method!"
Seeing the Eight-Tails charging ferociously, Sasori controlled the Third Kazekage Puppet to unleash Magnet Release.
"That attack won't work on me, human!" Gyūki mocked loudly. True to its words, the Iron Sand World Method, which might have barely breached the defenses of a semi-tailed beastified Killer B, was insufficient against the full might of the Eight-Tails.
Boom! Boom!
Gyūki's tentacles lashed out relentlessly, effortlessly shattering the Iron Sand World Method while simultaneously striking Hiruko. The tide of battle shifted dramatically. Although Sasori hadn't yet lost, it was clear to anyone watching that his defeat was only a matter of time.
"Lord Qinglong, what should we do now? The Eight-Tails is too strong," came Water Man's voice from beneath the ocean's surface.
Deidara, however, remained unhurried, even finding time to tease, "Didn't you claim you could rival the Three-Tails? What, scared already?"
After a brief silence, Water Man replied in an awkward tone, "I've never actually seen how powerful a Tailed Beast is. I just thought that if there's enough water, I might be able to match one."
"Don't lose heart," Deidara said, offering some consolation. "The Eight-Tails and the Three-Tails may both be Tailed Beasts, but they're not on the same level. Even so, your power, when fully unleashed, is still formidable."
Meanwhile, Sasori, who was gradually losing ground, summoned five more puppets. Among them was the recently modified Seven-Tails Jinchūriki puppet, while the other four were powerful treasures from his collection. Of course, Sasori had many more puppets in reserve, but sheer numbers meant little against a Tailed Beast.
"Is that Chōmei's chakra? Is that its Jinchūriki?"
"Damn you humans!" Gyūki roared, growing even more enraged at the sight of the Seven-Tails Jinchūriki puppet, its four tails unfurled. Despite occasional rivalries, Tailed Beasts generally acknowledged one another as kin. Witnessing the fate of a fellow Tailed Beast only fueled Gyūki's fury.
"Die! Tailed Beast Ball!"
Gyūki's bull-like head tilted upward as it began gathering yin and yang chakra in an 8:2 ratio, forming a massive black chakra sphere. With astonishing speed, the Tailed Beast Ball hurtled toward the group of "ants."
Strong.
Incredibly strong.
This was a fully powered Tailed Beast Ball from the complete Eight-Tails. If the earlier semi-tailed beastified Tailed Beast Ball had already shaken Sasori, this one, several times stronger, was beyond his imagination.
"Magnet Release: Iron Sand Wall!"
Once again, the black iron sand formed a sturdy iron wall. The incoming Tailed Beast Ball split the sea as it barreled forward, colliding with the Iron Sand Wall just as before. But this time, the outcome was entirely different.
"What!" Sasori exclaimed in shock, unable to believe that the Iron Sand Wall, known for its exceptional defensive capabilities, had been pierced so easily. It was as if a block of tofu had been struck by a chunk of iron, offering no resistance.
"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!"
Following the breach of the Iron Sand Wall, a series of wide and towering water walls rose, constructed from the surrounding seawater. Though these walls were far less durable, their sheer number provided Sasori with the time he needed to retreat.
It had to be said that in a water-rich environment like this, Water Man's abilities were significantly enhanced, temporarily elevating him to Kage-level strength.
"Brother Sasori, let's take him on together," Deidara suggested as he began chewing clay. This time, Sasori didn't argue. He now understood that defeating the Eight-Tails on his own was impossible.
"Pathetic bugs! Let me show you the power of the great Gyūki!" The Eight-Tails dismissed Deidara and Water Man with disdain. Even the strongest among them, Sasori, was barely a threat. The other two? They couldn't possibly pose a challenge.
Deidara smirked faintly. "Eight-Tails, then let me show you my art."
"C2 Enhanced Great Dragon!"
Roar!
A deafening dragon's roar echoed across the ocean.
"Eight-Tails Shock Value +1200" "Obito Uchiha Shock Value +500"
"You can create something this massive? I admit, I underestimated you," Gyūki remarked, momentarily shaken by the sight of the colossal clay dragon soaring through the sky. Its size rivaled his own.
"But size alone doesn't make it powerful!" Gyūki scoffed. Among summoning beasts, many were enormous, yet their strength paled in comparison to that of a Tailed Beast.
"My dragon isn't just for show. Don't underestimate me, Eight-Tails!" Deidara declared, his fingers interlocked and his mouth still smeared with traces of saliva from molding the dragon. His expression was one of manic excitement.
"Secret Technique! Dragon's Nest!" "Magnet Release: Iron Sand Bind!" "Water Release: Water Stream Whip!"
Sasori and Water Man launched their attacks simultaneously, targeting Gyūki's tentacles in an attempt to hinder its assault on the airborne clay dragon.
"Art is an explosion! Hah!"
Against an opponent like the Eight-Tails, Deidara held nothing back. He unleashed a Dragon Mother, directing it to detonate right on Gyūki's head.
"Argh! That hurts!"
"Eight-Tails Shock Value +1500" "Obito Uchiha Shock Value +1000"
Gyūki, howling in pain, broke free from the Iron Sand and Water Stream Whip restraints. However, instead of launching another attack, it curled its tentacles around its head, wailing incessantly.
It had initially assumed that Deidara's creations were merely for physical attacks and had dismissed them, confident in its resilience. After all, even if its head were pounded, it would recover quickly.
But it hadn't anticipated the true purpose of those creations: explosions!
And not just any explosions. The blast carried unimaginably high temperatures, scorching its entire head.
