A beautiful bunny girl actually appeared in the library?
Renji Kamisaka was slightly bewildered for a moment, his eyes blinking. Am I dreaming? Or am I experiencing something unusual? Recalling the anime information in his mind, he immediately knew who the bold bunny-girl-costumed girl wandering in the library was: Mai Sakurajima, from "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai", the main female character in the series.
Mai Sakurajima debuted as a child star and is now an actress. It seemed that because of her identity as an actress, she was very popular and often watched by people, some even following her and taking her pictures. That experience made her feel very disturbed, so she thought of making herself invisible to others, so she wouldn't feel bothered. As a result, since that day, she truly disappeared from other people's eyes and no one could see her anymore. To test if it was real, she dressed up as a bunny girl and wandered around. However, the scariest thing was that not only could others behind her not see her, her entire existence vanished. Her mother also forgot that she had a daughter.
Sumireko Sanshokuin, sitting across from Renji Kamisaka, had opened her lunchbox. She noticed Renji Kamisaka staring blankly at the chair next to him and couldn't help but ask, "Student Renji, what's happening there?" Her voice filled with curiosity.
"Ah? Nothing... nothing, Sanshokuin," Renji Kamisaka replied, trying to appear calm, but his mind was still racing. "Do you think it's possible for a bunny girl to appear in Sobu High School library?"
When Sumireko Sanshokuin heard this, she couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Student Renji, are you still asleep?" she quipped. "Although we at Sobu High School don't strictly regulate the length of school uniforms, we don't allow students to wear strange clothes." She paused, then added playfully, "Not to mention a bunny girl costume. If you dare wear that costume at school, your parents will be called or you'll be called to the office to be criticized and lectured." She gave a faint smirk. "Or, Renji, you want to see me wear a bunny girl costume, right?" Sumireko Sanshokuin's eyes widened, the corners of her mouth slightly lifted, revealing a playful curve.
"This is a bit difficult. After all, you are my savior. If you insist..." Sumireko Sanshokuin began, attempting to tease.
Before she could finish her words, Renji Kamisaka quickly waved his hand. "Stop, Sanshokuin-san. I'm not the type of person who would ask for favors in return for something." He sighed.
"Oh, really? But why did you mention a bunny girl?" Sumireko Sanshokuin asked curiously.
"Alright, if I told you there's a bunny girl standing next to me, would you believe it?" Renji asked, looking at Mai Sakurajima beside him. Mai Sakurajima was clearly also surprised that he could see her, but when she heard him say so, she immediately glared at him with sharp eyes, a look full of warning. Then, she crossed her arms with interest and watched his interaction with Sumireko Sanshokuin, as if this were a stage play.
When Sumireko Sanshokuin heard what he said, she blinked at him. "Do you think I believe it?"
"I guess you wouldn't believe it."
"That's it. You should just be honest and say you want to see me in a bunny girl costume. That way, everything will be more convincing."
Being teased, Renji Kamisaka spread his hands helplessly. But there really is a bunny girl next to me! he thought, a little frustrated.
Seeing his helpless expression, Sumireko Sanshokuin couldn't help but burst into laughter, her laughter filling the corner of the library. "After you finish lunch, get some good rest. Maybe you're hallucinating, or maybe you're experiencing a supernatural event."
"I suppose so." Renji Kamisaka no longer paid attention to the bunny girl and began to enjoy the lunchbox Sayu Ogiwara made for him. Sayu's cooking skills were truly good. I wonder how she compares to the angel, Shiina Mahiru. He felt that he would definitely have the opportunity to taste Shiina Mahiru's cooking in the future, Renji thought, a hope sparking in his mind.
He ignored the bunny girl, and the bunny girl, in turn, became mischievous. Without a sound, she extended her slender fingers, took a rice ball from Renji's lunchbox, put it in her mouth, and began eating it casually, as if it were her right.
Renji Kamisaka's mouth twitched in surprise. "Sanshokuin, did you see my rice ball?"
"What rice ball? You haven't eaten it yet? Or do you want to eat my bento?" Sumireko asked, her eyes confused. It seemed she really couldn't see Mai Sakurajima. That's good then. Not being able to see supernatural things is a sign of safety for her, Renji thought, feeling a slight relief.
He just nodded vigorously with a stiff face. "Yes, I'd love to!" He looked at Sumireko. "Sanshokuin-san, please let me taste your homemade bento!"
"Go ahead." The girl gently pushed the delicious lunchbox in front of him, a faint smile on her lips.
"Are you really going to let me taste it?" Renji asked again, wanting to confirm.
"What else? You're my savior. May I ask my savior to taste this lunchbox?" Sumireko replied, her tone firm.
"No problem, thank you!"
"You're welcome!"
Mai Sakurajima next to him, who was chewing on the rice ball, suddenly got angry. The calm expression on her face vanished, replaced by a frown. Initially, I wanted to tease this guy who was the only one who could see me. Unexpectedly, he took the opportunity to flirt with the country girl. She puffed out her cheeks and snorted unconsciously, a small sound only Renji could hear.
But she seemed to think of something, and said to Renji Kamisaka with a stern face: "If you don't want trouble, you'd better forget about today's events." Having said that, she turned gracefully and left quickly, disappearing from Renji's sight like a ghost. It was estimated that her disappearance was periodic.
Renji Kamisaka ate Sumireko Sanshokuin's lunchbox without expressing any opinion. But it was impossible to make him forget. This senior student ate his rice balls and made him forget. How could such a good thing happen? He would remember this grudge! he thought.
