The uniform itched.
Vira stood in front of the mirror, staring at the girl who stared back — neat, polished, composed. Not her. Not really.
The blazer felt too stiff. The pleated skirt brushed her knees just right, but it felt like armor she didn't ask for. The shoes pinched. The ribbon around her collar tugged at her throat like it knew the words she was too afraid to speak.
A maid had styled her hair gently, carefully — almost kindly. Powder concealed the dull ache under her eyes. Her lips were untouched, bare. A porcelain girl. A doll.
Dolls don't speak.
Her bag sat by the door. A black, perfect rectangle. No stickers. No personality. Just like everything else.
Downstairs, the carriage waited at the gate. The horses stood still. The driver smiled wide, unnerving, unfamiliar.
She placed her hand on the doorframe, just before leaving her room — pausing.
Maybe, just maybe…
She shut her eyes and whispered, so faintly not even the walls would remember it:
"Please... let this be a new start. And let me change myself."
And with that, Vira stepped out.
Damn school is going to be a bit overwhelming for Vira, I have a feeling but maybe she might find someone she can lean onto for once or even fall in love~
Who knows?
"Welcome girls and boys!" yelled the principal, welcoming each student with warm welcomes. Vira was trying to avoid her warm welcome; she didn't want others to even look at her but that backfired when the principal tapped on her shoulder.
"Welcome! You must be from the kingdom of hearts! Pleasure to meet you… hmm.." she thought for a second "Vira is it?" Vira slowly nodded, she didn't know what to do, she stood there, frozen and just nodding to whatever the principal's blabbering was.
WHOOSH-
Vira gets dragged by a student, the student was a beautiful bubble girl, she exclaimed excitedly "Hi there! Welcome to Roseveil Academy! Are you new here just like me?"
Wow, very bubbly… this girl..
She's the kind of girl who lights up the classroom the second she walks in — bubbly, bright, and full of energy. Her dark, silky hair is tied into a neat ponytail with a pink ribbon that bounces with every step. Her school uniform is crisp and clean: a white blouse, navy blazer, pleated skirt, and knee-high socks, all perfectly worn yet touched with her charm — maybe a cute pin or pastel scrunchie on her wrist.
Her skin is soft and glowing, cheeks always slightly rosy, and her big brown eyes sparkle like she's always on the verge of a giggle. She has a small button nose and a cheerful smile that practically beams sunshine. She skips instead of walks, always humming a tune or chatting with friends, her laughter trailing behind like petals in the wind.
Even when she's quiet, her presence is warm — like spring in school uniform form.
And then here's Vira
A girl who walks like elegance was stitched into her very being — Vira is the definition of refined. With her school uniform always pristine, not a crease out of place, she wears her polished blazer and pleated skirt like royal armor. Her shoes are perfectly shined, her socks pulled up just right, and even the silver crest on her chest gleams as if it knows who it belongs to.
A girl whose deep red, wavy hair flows like velvet fire, always tamed with intention — pinned neatly to the side with a dark ribbon that whispers of discipline and grace. Every strand seems to obey her presence.
A girl whose lavender-violet eyes shimmer like gemstones under moonlight — calm, unreadable, and endlessly captivating. When she looks your way, it feels less like being seen… and more like being studied.
Vira is not the kind of girl who tries to stand out.
She simply does.
It's giving, if the popular girl decided to make friends with the pretty quiet girl, this story would take a big twist if an extrovert is going to adopt the introvert (Vira).
But let's continue the story of course
Vira slowly nods before saying "Yes I am new to this school…" The girl looked at her with sparkles in her eyes before saying "Omg really? Same as me! My name is Yuna Marivelle, what about you? What's your name?"
Vira never really faced this type of affection before or is it even affection?
She hesitates to say her name but eventually she slowly says it "It's um…" She mumbles her name but Yuna couldn't hear so Yuna softly told Vira to say her name a bit louder because she can't understand what Vira is saying "umm.. Can you say your name a bit louder?..." Yuna asks softly, Vira takes up all the courage she has to say her name "My name is… Vira Seravière…" Yuna smiles and she changes the tone of her voice soft to reassure Vira "That's an amazing name Vira! I love it" Vira eyes widen slightly and she feels a hammer hammering her heart, not in a bad way but in like.. A good way?
She doesn't see it but Yuna does, Vira's a bit flustered! How cute!
Yuna giggles "You do realise you're flustered, right?" Vira stuttered "Oh! I-I am?.. I-Is it obvious?.. Well of course it's o-ob-obvious! You see me flustered.." Yuna tries to hold in a laugh, she leans close and asks Vira a question "C'mon, let's go to our class before we become late" Vira nods before saying "Yeah.. alright…"
Yuna grabs her hand and leads her to class, both of them walking beside each other, holding hands. Vira's thoughts filled her head like "Wait.. Why am I feeling like this? This isn't what I plan my first day to be! She's really cute and very nice but the thing is… Why am I feeling like this? Is this normal? I shouldn't be feeling this! I just met her!..." she whines inside "What do I have to do with this feeling? WHAT IS THIS FEELING?!"
