Chapter 16 - The Last Dance - 03

Aden's mind was a jumble of desperation and determination. If he was going to die, he'd take this monstrous creature down with him. He thought back to all the times he'd watched others fight from his hospital bed, and all the techniques he'd learned in his past life.

It was all coming back to him now, fueling his resolve to take down this beast.

"I've got nothing left to lose," Aden muttered to himself, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'll drag you down to hell with me."

The battle was a chaotic mess of clashing steel and flying fists. Aden's sword sliced through the High Orc's defenses, but the creature just wouldn't go down. It was like fighting a mountain, with Aden's blows barely leaving a scratch.

"Gods, he's still on his feet!" one of the Hounds exclaimed, their voice laced with a mix of shock and concern.

"How is he even doing this?"

The other Hounds watched in stunned silence, their faces pale with worry. They'd seen some tough battles before, but this was something else. Aden's determination was infectious, driving him forward even when his body screamed in agony.

The High Orc swung its massive fist, aiming straight for Aden's head. Aden dodged at the last second, his heart racing with fear, and countered with a swift strike to the creature's side. The blade bit deep, but the High Orc just grunted and kept coming.

Aden's mind was racing. He couldn't keep this up for much longer. The High Orc was too strong, too relentless. He needed to end this, and fast.

With a fierce cry, Aden launched himself at the High Orc, his sword flashing in the dim light. The creature met him head-on, its own blade swinging in a wide, deadly arc.

Aden dodged and weaved, his heart pounding in his chest, and countered with a series of swift, desperate strikes. The High Orc stumbled back, its eyes wide with surprise, and Aden seized the moment.

In a final, desperate bid to end the battle, Aden shifted his sword to his left hand and drove it into the High Orc's eyes. The creature let out a deafening roar, its body stumbling back in agony.

Aden stood tall, his chest heaving with exhaustion, as the High Orc's face contorted in a snarl.

For a moment, the two enemies locked eyes, their gazes burning with a fierce intensity. Then, in an instant, the High Orc's face twisted in a snarl, its massive fist swinging towards Aden with deadly precision.

Aden raised his sword, ready to meet the blow, but he knew he was running on fumes. The High Orc was too strong, too powerful. He needed to end this, and fast, or risk being crushed beneath the creature's relentless assault.

The High Orc's groan was a sound that could shatter glass, a high-pitched wail that made Aden's ears ache. The creature's massive hand closed around Aden's right hand, trying to pry the sword loose, but Aden's grip was unyielding.

He was determined to see this through, to drive the sword into the High Orc's skull and end this nightmare.

"AARGH!" a heavy scream erupted from Aden, his mind too rambled with pain and desperation to form coherent thoughts. His face contorted in a grimace, his teeth clenched in a snarl as he refused to back down.

The air was electric with tension as the two enemies locked into a fierce, primal struggle. The High Orc's eyes blazed with fury, its muscles bulging as it summoned every last ounce of strength. Aden's face was set in a grim mask, his teeth clenched in a snarl as he refused to back down.

"No, no, no... don't let go," Aden's thoughts screamed, his mind a crumbled mess of fear, pain, and resolve. He had now entered a point of no return.

And then, in a burst of brutal force, the High Orc unleashed its full fury. Aden's right hand was crushed beneath its grip, the bones shattering like twigs.

"AAAAAAAAAAARHHHHHHH!"
