Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: An Exile's Kingdom and a God's Vow

An Atlantean transport ship arrived, carrying the relatives of Namor's loyal subordinates. A heavy box was placed before Alan; inside lay the Seventh Metal. Even in its unrefined, raw ore state, a faint luster danced across its surface, a subtle hint of its extraordinary properties. Forcing Atlantis to part with such a large amount of the magical metal was a painful blow, but for Atlan, staying alive was the top priority. The metal could be collected again; his life could not.

"Pink dolphin!" Nanaue waddled excitedly to a glass tank, staring at a dolphin with light pink skin.

"Nanaue, do you like the gift I got you?" Alan asked proudly.

"Hehe… Nanaue likes it." Nanaue gently stroked the dolphin's skin. The dolphin's head popped out of the water and spit a playful stream at him. Nanaue happily hugged the dolphin, kissed it, and said with pure joy, "Master, the dolphin likes me!"

Alan smiled like a proud father. "You two are truly a match made in heaven." Dolphins and sharks were natural enemies, so it seemed a bit counterintuitive for them to be together. But if they liked each other, who was anyone to interfere?

Atlan drew up a treaty to ensure that his lineage would not declare war on Paradise Island during his reign. This written agreement might be valid while he was on the throne, but when his successor took over, it would most likely become a piece of waste paper. In truth, the conflict between Atlantis and Paradise Island had a long history, but it had never escalated into a life-or-death struggle. Things in the future would be solved in the future. For now, it was enough to ensure the safety of Paradise Island.

"The wine is good." Thor drank the wine from the crystal bottle in one gulp and nodded with great satisfaction. Atlantis was technologically advanced, so it was no surprise that they could produce fine wine.

With that, the matter came to an end. No one had expected Thor, the God of Thunder, to suddenly intervene and cause the situation to develop in their favor. Although Atlan was unwilling, he could only withdraw his troops. All the tribes of the ocean quickly retreated into the sea and returned to their respective habitats. They had been united by the war; now that it was over, there was no reason to obey Atlan's orders.

Namor's men and their relatives looked helplessly at their king. Now, they were a homeless, wandering tribe. Many civilians surfaced, their eyes filled with hope that Namor could lead them to a new beginning. The pain in his heart was hard to describe, like being adrift in a vast ocean with no place to stay. At this moment, Namor felt utterly powerless. Without his memories as king, he had no idea how to lead his people.

"I'm going back to Asgard first." Thor stood next to the boxes of fine wine, raised Mjolnir high, and said, "Don't worry, I'm always on standby. I'll come to support you as soon as I find Ares."

"Don't go!" Alan stretched out his hand to stop him, but a rainbow bridge descended from the sky and whisked him away.

"Oh, what a huge loss." Alan held his chest with one hand, a look of profound disappointment on his face. "My hope of using Mjolnir to electrocute fish has been dashed." He had originally wanted to build a set of energy-storing armor, let Thor charge it with electricity, and then plunge into the Trench tribe to gain experience by releasing the lightning. As a result, Thor had just run away after the fight, showing a truly ruthless and unscrupulous style.

Alan was so angry that he rolled on the floor, muttering, "How could he do this to me? I'm so angry."

"Bad! Bad dolphin!" Nanaue, who had been playing with the dolphin, suddenly became furious, picked up the pink dolphin, and threw it into the sea.

"Why did you abandon your wife?" Alan stood up and looked at the sea below the cliff. The dolphin had long since disappeared.

"Nanaue's feelings have been deceived! That was a boy dolphin!" Nanaue was so angry that he kept stomping his feet. "Bad! Bad, bad, bad!"

"What a perverted dolphin, a male one being pink," Alan agreed. It seemed that Alan hadn't clarified the gender of the dolphin from the beginning, and the Atlanteans had just grabbed a pink dolphin to fulfill the deal.

Diana said her goodbyes and returned to Paradise Island. She wanted to tell the queen the whole story and then make a new decision. As Diana left on a captured ship, the scene suddenly seemed much more desolate.

Namor was worried about where to go next. He had a large family to take care of and could no longer think only of himself.

"Pirate King, I have a suggestion." Alan had an idea, and his eyes were full of a mischievous wisdom.

"What proposal?" Namor asked subconsciously.

"You can place your tribe in the waters near Wakanda." Alan said slyly, "There are Vibranium mines in the seas near Wakanda. We can mine them to develop new technology."

"This is considered stealing. It's not a good idea," Namor said with worry. Living near Wakanda and stealing their resources didn't seem right at all.

"What's stealing? The Vibranium in the sea doesn't belong to them. Whoever gets it first gets it." Alan said righteously, "If I fart, am I not allowed to let others breathe?"

Puff…

Alan tried hard to hold in a fart to assert his sovereignty over the air.

"I need to discuss this with my people." This resolution was immediately approved by the nobles. Vibranium was a top-tier Sixth Metal and could even be considered a secondary Seventh Metal. In addition to its shock-absorbing properties and extreme strength, the key was its high output. In fact, many powers knew of the existence of Vibranium. If Wakanda hadn't been protected by the Panther God, Bast, it would have been divided up and swept away by various forces long ago. The Panther God, Bast, had a profound origin. She was a member of the Council of Gods, involved with the Ennead of Egypt, and her background and strength were such that neither Asgard nor Olympus dared to underestimate her.

Alan wanted to obtain Vibranium and add it to his armor to create a weapon comparable to a divine artifact. A team of more than ten thousand people set out from underwater toward the African continent. This separated group of Atlanteans was marked as a missing tribe in the records of the Kingdom of Atlantis. The King of Atlantis deliberately tampered with the truth, refusing to allow the details of the seizure of the throne to be recorded in order to shape the orthodox legitimacy of his own kingship. After all, history is written by the victors.

Ares woke up in the sea, and the armor on his body had a new, ruined look. His defeat in the battle with Thor made him realize the insufficiency of his own strength.

"I need more wars to increase my divine power." The scale of the previous battlefield had been too small, and the increase in power it brought was ultimately limited. When facing Thor, the God of Thunder, he had obviously felt that his fighting power was suppressed, so when the battle showed signs of defeat, he had decisively chosen to retreat.

Looking in the direction of the European continent, he felt the strong atmosphere of war lingering, and suddenly a bold idea came to his mind. In the distance, a cargo cruise ship passed by. Not long after, Ares transformed into a polite, middle-aged businessman and quietly boarded the ship.

Looking back in the direction of Paradise Island, a red light flashed in his eyes.

"Just wait. I will conquer Paradise Island first, and then I will kill my way to Asgard."
