Chapter 45 - Chapter 45:Drum Kingdom.

Because of the ocean currents, it took Iggy half a month to finally reach the village and make landfall on Winter Island.

At this time, the Drum Kingdom was ruled by Wapol, the gluttonous king with the powers of the Baku Baku no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allowed him to eat anything—including people.

The entire country was suffering under his tyrannical rule.

According to the timeline, Wapol had already enacted his cruel law:

He had assembled the top twenty doctors in the kingdom into a group known as the "Isshi-20", keeping them as his personal medical team. Any remaining doctors who refused to comply were labeled criminals—hunted down, imprisoned, or executed.

It was a way to keep the people under his thumb. If anyone wanted medical treatment, they had to bow and beg at the feet of the king.

"This terminally ill country… I should put it out of its misery," Iggy muttered.

To uncover the secrets behind the "Operation: Personality Transfer", Iggy had to get inside the castle and find the remaining doctors. He devised a plan: infiltrate as a wounded man.

Without hesitation, he cut off his own left hand, then began the climb from the village of Great Horn up the long cable path that led to the mountain-top castle.

Clutching his bloodied, severed limb and wearing a pained expression, he passed through layer after layer of guard inspection, eventually making his way into the castle's grand hall.

"My beloved people… What brings you here?"

Wapol, short and rotund, clad in heavy iron plating, lounged lazily on his throne. His tone was mockingly warm, pretending to show concern.

Beside him stood Captain Dalton, Chief of Staff Chess, and Dr. Kureha's replacement—Cromarlimon, all maintaining their formal stances in the presence of the king.

From Iggy's point of view, the king's fake kindness was a joke. Beneath the surface, his eyes gleamed with cruel amusement.

"Your Majesty, I was wounded while hunting. I humbly ask for medical help."

Iggy kept his head lowered in the shadows, hiding his face. Despite the blood dripping from his severed wrist, his tone was calm—almost too calm.

"Moohahahaha! Of course!"

At Wapol's signal, twenty doctors in surgical gowns emerged from either side of the hall, standing in neat rows behind the throne. The Isshi-20—Wapol's elite medical team—stood ready, rubber gloves raised, prepared for surgery.

"You just need to kneel and beg me!" Wapol cackled, staring down at Iggy, visibly excited.

Watching people beg was this tyrant's idea of pleasure. For Wapol, power was intoxicating, and humiliation was his game.

But Iggy didn't move. Blood continued to drip onto the floor, yet he stood perfectly still.

The hall grew tense.

"Don't waste my time! Kneel, or die!"

Wapol's tone shifted to irritation. This was the first time anyone had defied him like this.

"…You've got some nerve."

Even the Celestial Dragons weren't beyond being slaughtered like pigs in Iggy's eyes—and now this pathetic king wanted him to kneel for treatment?

Iggy lifted his head and met Wapol's gaze.

Cold. Unflinching. Deadly.

Wapol's expression faltered for just a moment—his heart skipped.

"You dare offend your king?! GUARDS!!"

Wapol's fear instantly turned to rage. He shouted the execution order without hesitation.

Dozens of soldiers swarmed forward, surrounding the injured intruder in a tight formation.

Then, with a sudden gust of wind, something strange happened—

All the guards collapsed.

In the blink of an eye, they lost consciousness and dropped like flies. Wapol's jaw dropped in disbelief. His snot nearly flew into his mouth as he gawked.

Among the motionless bodies, Iggy strolled forward, calm and composed. His severed arm had already begun to regenerate, slowly reforming before their eyes.

From the sidelines, Dalton, the guard captain, looked on in shock… then awe.

"That's enough, intruder!"

Suddenly, Cromarlimon, the kingdom's eccentric official, jumped in front of Iggy. His fists were covered in hard, fibrous hair, formed into glove-like weapons.

He lunged at Iggy with a flurry of rapid punches.

Iggy dodged easily. He dipped low, swept his leg back, and launched himself forward with a powerful hook to Cromarlimon's stomach.

The man dropped instantly, knocked out with a single blow.

"Black Hole."

Iggy didn't waste a moment. Raising his hand toward Wapol, a dark aura surged around his palm.

Instantly, the floor beneath Wapol turned pitch black, engulfing him in a spreading pool of darkness. The surrounding doctors screamed and scattered.

Victory was near. He just had to extract the secret.

But what happened next stunned even Iggy.

Wapol's lower half had vanished—and in its place, his massive jaw extended downward.

"Ahhh!!"

He ate the darkness.

In one bite, Wapol devoured the surrounding black zone. The throne room floor returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.

The glutton king had not only resisted the attack—he had absorbed it.

"Even darkness can be eaten…?" Iggy muttered.

Wapol's mouth warped and widened, turning into a gaping black vortex. From within, a gravitational pull erupted.

Because the darkness was Iggy's own power, the force of the gravity was far stronger—he struggled to resist.

Objects flew toward Wapol's mouth. Iggy braced himself, trying to anchor his body, but the pull was relentless.

He couldn't stop it.

Just when he was about to be swallowed—

"Bull Charge Impact!!"

Dalton burst into his hybrid form—a massive bull-man—and charged into Iggy at full speed.

With explosive force, he collided with Iggy, sending him crashing through the window.

Iggy flew out of the castle, his body hurling through the freezing mountain air.

He fell for nearly a thousand meters—before slamming into the snowy ground at the base of Drum Mountain.

There, he lost consciousness.

People's def gonna say he shouldn't have lost that easily.

And the reason he lost consciousness is because the kingdom was quite tall.
