Through #12 Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard, Carlos had already tested the camp's reaction and firepower, so he immediately ordered through the soul link:
"#10 and #11, go back up #12.
#7, #8, and #9, hit them from another entrance!
Let me see what other tricks you've got up your sleeve!"
Carlos wanted to gradually force out these guys' ace cards. He had zero intention of showing his face yet.
The night was young—everything needed to be taken step by step...
...
In front of the camp gate, Chapman's reminder scared the crap out of the other three!
"We need to smoke this monster fast!"
Wolf fired up his berserker state again.
If Chapman was right, new monsters might roll up soon, and then they'd really be screwed!
"Right, let's all jump in together. Now's not the time to hold back!"
Stuart was totally on board, his body gradually becoming see-through—this was a Concealer.
Though Chapman didn't attack, his hand movements said it all.
A pale skull appeared in his skeletal right hand, several sharp bone spikes locked and loaded—he was actually a Death Herald specializing in Bone Magic!
"Boom!"
Wolf charged again, this time only using eighty percent of his juice, saving twenty percent to make a clean getaway.
The #12 Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard, currently tied up by numerous Guardians, sensed the cheap shot from behind and skillfully swung its sword to block.
Just as Wolf was about to eat it again, he suddenly yelled:
"Now! Close in!"
He abruptly pulled back his assault as surrounding traitor Guardians raised their large shields,
Forming shield walls from all directions, suddenly pressing toward #12 Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard, boxing it in.
"Creak!"
The Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard roared lowly, its greatsword carrying serious force, knocking down several traitor Guardians.
But it barely made a dent—the gaps got filled again right away.
Next, the Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard suddenly sensed a dark shadow appearing at its side, attacking at breakneck speed.
It was the high-speed traitor Concealer Stuart, wielding a short sword, finding the perfect moment to thrust hard into the Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard's right ribs!
"Clang!"
Sparks flew as a shallow scratch was left on one rib, instantly fixed back to mint condition by death energy.
Seeing this, Stuart cursed under his breath: "Even its defense is off the charts!"
He immediately went ghost mode among the crowd again, setting up another attack.
That wasn't all—Chapman's attack came in hot.
Several thick bone spikes, along with dozens of arrows, rained down together, nailing #12 Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard directly.
"Boom!!!"
The intense explosion kicked up smoke as all human traitors stared hard at ground zero.
"What!"
"No freaking way!"
"..."
As the arrow storm approached, the Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard's greatsword lit up with purple light—it used Purple Thornblade Bone Swordsmanship!
Damage immediately jumped by 14%, slicing arrows out of thin air as the battlefield rang with the sounds of breaking arrows.
Wolf gritted his teeth and said viciously:
"One more round—I refuse to believe this monster has unlimited health!"
Stuart and Chapman nodded, powering up together again...
Outside the battle circle, the only camp leader not jumping in—Howell—looked seriously freaked out and confused.
"Is this really a Dark Mist monster?
If so, why would it actively attack us devoted ones?"
Among human traitors internally, they called themselves 'devoted ones,' dedicating themselves to darkness for humanity's survival.
"If it's not a Dark Mist monster, then what the hell is it?"
"Another faction's lab rat?"
"What's the point of attacking our camp? Could it be after the Brain Tower?"
Howell hadn't made her move yet. Despite her bloated appearance and crude, brutal personality, she was actually pretty sharp.
Constantly running through various scenarios,
"If there's someone pulling this monster's strings from behind, they definitely wouldn't have just this little firepower!"
Howell's gaze inevitably drifted into the darkness outside the camp, as if there were a pair of eyes quietly watching them.
Suddenly, the human traitors went nuts:
"Mon... monsters! Another one... two!"
"Two more monsters showed up!!!"
"Slash!"
"Block them! Guardians, hold the line!"
"Ah! I'm toast!"
"Run! We can't stop them!"
"..."
The human traitors, with most of their attention locked on #12, spotted the reinforcing #10 and #11 Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guards way too late.
The two Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guards were like wolves in a henhouse, directly cutting into the human traitors' flanks.
Their greatswords, driven by insane force, cut through the air with explosive sounds.
Human traitors who couldn't dodge in time got chopped in half one by one, dying instantly as blood sprayed across the sky.
Right away, these human traitors' formation went to hell, morale hitting rock bottom.
The cornered #12 Purple Thornblade Skeleton Guard seized this chance to bust out of the encirclement, charging into the traitor group for a massacre!
Screams went up and down without end.
That wasn't all—almost at the same time,
A human traitor grunt with pure terror on his face came running like hell from the camp's back gate, yelling at the top of his lungs:
"Skeleton monsters! Three terrifying skeleton monsters are hitting the back gate!
The brothers guarding the gate can't hold them back at all—getting slaughtered!"
The camp immediately went to complete chaos with screams, roars, cries for help, and collision sounds never letting up.
"Damn it, which faction is this!"
Howell ground her nasty teeth, feeling both shocked and pissed.
"What do we do, Miss Howell!"
Wolf, Stuart, and Chapman quickly bailed from battle, regrouping around Howell.
They could barely handle one, and now two more skeleton monsters showed up—no wait, there were three more at the back gate.
This wasn't about whether they could waste them anymore, but whether they could get out alive!
"Retreat!"
Howell stone-faced spat out one word.
While these skeleton monsters were busy chasing those grunts, they could totally book it.
Moreover, Howell felt it wasn't worth going to war with these monsters to the death.
Winning would at most save some human traitors, but losing would cost her own life.
Led by Howell, the four immediately decided to charge toward the main gate.
It was closest, allowing early escape,
More importantly, three skeleton monsters were going crazy chasing their subordinates—the gate was completely unguarded by monsters.
"Go!"
Howell's body surface quickly grew a layer of hard spikes as her two thick legs instantly pushed off.
She launched forward while Wolf and the other two hauled ass to follow, scared of getting left behind.
