"Last time on Total Drama Action." Chris began the recap as Chef was putting an astronaut suit onto Chris. "Our last challenge brought out our contestants' more monstrous sides! Jasmine became a mummy that could take the heat, Mike became the Jersey undead, Bridgette was the most sugared up sea monster ever, and Dawn turned out to be quite the lustful vampire! Both teams battled it one in one spectacular board game! They competed! Dueled! And endured some pretty nasty stuff! In the end it was neck and neck and Owen had the chance to keep the Gaffers from winning but in a cruel twist of fate Owen was unable to even attempt the eating challenge due to his jaw being wired shut! With the one thing he was good at now gone, the Grips gave Owen the boot, further lowering their team's numbers as well as their morale for having the worst losing streak in Total Drama history so far." Chris then showed this off as the screen changed showing the Grips gathering around a picnic table looking bummed out. "But stay tuned to find out who will win this week. Could it be…the Griiiiips?"
"Oh piss off McLain," Ronnie Anne growled towards the camera with the rest of the team putting on an offended look.
"We can still do this!" Tyler insisted as he tried to open a bag of chips. "We're not losers!" But as Tyler finally opened the bag a chip flew out and hit him right in the eye. "Ow! Ow! Ow!"
"Riiiiight," Chris slowly let out with a smirk before looking at the camera. "See for yourself next, on Total. Drama. Action!"
Currently in the Crafts Services Tent, everyone was enjoying their breakfast Chef had served. That's right, everyone was enjoying it again! After dealing with Chef's food going bad again all the Grip's were all pleasantly surprised to see that Chef's food again improved and was not only edible but delicious again! "Oh yeah!" Tyler grinned as he shoveled the breakfast down his mouth, eager to fill his mouth up with the flavor. "Come to papa!"
"Woah calm down there man, it's not going anywhere," Trent pointed out as he and Mike were watching Tyler devour his food like a wild animal with some concern. Given how…accident prone the jock was they were both on standby in case Tyler had a food related accident as he was shoveling it all into his mouth. "You don't wanna choke, do ya?"
After swallowing and thankfully not choking, Tyler turned to the two other guys. "Sorry guys, it's just Chef's food!" Tyler grinned as he ate another big chunk off his plate. "I can't get enough of it! Think he'll let me have seconds?"
"Really?" Mike blinked a few times before eating a spoonful of what he got and hummed in delight. Well Tyler was right in it being delicious, but there was a bit of a hole in his explanation. "But weren't you and the Grips all complaining about Chef's food being bad again?"
"Yeah we were," Tyler nodded before setting his utensils down as he shivered a bit at remembering Chef's bad tasting food, he swore he could still taste how rotten it was a bit. "I swear when you guys left Chef's food just turned bad again!" Suddenly a choking sound was heard as they all looked to DJ who seemed to have a bit of food going down the wrong pipe. "Woah DJ you alright bro?"
"Y-Yeah!" DJ wheezed out before grabbing a glass of water and downing it quickly. Thankfully that did the job and helped DJ get his food down as well as calm his nerves. Oh boy he didn't think about that, with him not around after the last two challenges of course Chef's food would turn bad again, he was the one helping Chef make it good. He just hoped now one made the connection. "Just…went down the wrong pipe is all, I'm good now!"
"Ah hate it when that happens," Trent said with others nodding along. DJ could breathe a sigh of relief, for now at least.
Meanwhile over at another table a downtrodden Izzy was sitting in between both Dawn and Jasmine as the two of them comforted the normally crazy girl. With Owen getting the boot basically right after they got together Izzy was notably upset, she was hoping to make up for the time her and Owen didn't get to spend together. Or more accurately the time she spent being cold to him. She had plans of things they could do together when they weren't doing challenges but it looked like that would all have to wait until they were reunited.
"Aw don't worry there mate," Jasmine reassured Izzy as she put a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder. Sure Izzy was definitely…out there to say the least but really that kind of made Jasmine like Izzy. The girl was adventurous, tough, but still knew how to have a fun time and those were all things Jasmine respected. "It's gonna be alright,"
"Jasmine's right Izzy," Dawn gave Izzy a small smile as she placed a hand on top of Izzy's hand and gave it a light squeeze. Ever since Izzy got back together with Owen Izzy's aura had become more…grounded she would say. Don't get her wrong Izzy was still as crazy and unpredictable as usual but Owen helped bring out a more rational part of Izzy to sort of help balance out those chaotic tendencies. "Besides Owen wouldn't want you to be sad and depressed the whole time he was gone, he'd want you to keep going."
"Heh, yeah he would. He always tried to make me smile…" Izzy muttered fondly as she thought back to all the goofy things Owen did, whether intentionally or not. Owen just made her happy even when she was being mean to him. He never judged her for being crazy or weird, he just got her and wanted to make her smile. "I guess I just hope he'll be ok wherever he ends up. His jaw isn't gonna be all better until the show ends after all…"
"Hey if it's anything like last season he was probably taken to someplace where he and all the other contestants are relaxing and having a good time." Jasmine told Izzy with a sure tone. She remembered seeing the losers resort last season and if it was anything like that then Owen was probably more than fine. "He's probably having the time of his life right now! Relaxing with his friends, blending up all the food he can drink, and of course watching the show and cheering you on! So don't let those cheers go to waste!"
"Yeah…Yeah you're right! Don't worry Owen, I'm gonna win it all for us!" Izzy proclaimed before pounding on her chest and letting out a Tarzan-like yell, getting giggles out of both Jasmine and Dawn. After getting that out of her system, Izzy sat back down with her friends now much more cheerful then how she was a moment ago. "I guess I just wished I could have had more time with Owen before it was too late ya know?"
Overhearing this conversation from another one of the tables was Harold who was simply minding his own business and eating his food, not really engaging anyone in conversation at the moment. But he did end up sort of listening into Izzy, Dawn, and Jasmine's conversation. "Before it's too late huh…" Harold quietly repeated to himself before looking at another table and seeing Leshawna and Bridgette engaged in some sort of conversation. So far he's taken Lincoln's advice over not being too forward with Leshawna and so far it seems to be working, he likes to think he and Leshawna are closer now but they never really made it official. Maybe today he could make a move?
With his mind made up, Harold got up from his table and began walking out to go look for his best friend to tell him the news. "Yo Harold, you gonna finish this?" Tyler spoke up as he pointed to Harold's half finished tray of food. Harold didn't respond and simply left the tent with Tyler shrugging and grinning. "He didn't say yes~"
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"Seeing what happened to Izzy and Owen, I realized I had to make my move sooner rather than later," Harold explained his intentions of finally asking Leshawna to be his girlfriend. "Any one of us could get the boot any day now, we're on a winning streak but who knows when that'll end. I gotta make my move now before it's too late!"
"Lincoln! You in here?" Harold asked as he entered the guys' trailer and saw Lincoln was drawing something in his sketchbook on his bed. "Watcha working on?"
"O-Oh, um, nothing," Lincoln quickly said as he looked between Harold and the drawing he was working on. Said drawing being of Dawn as a vampire with the page next to it having a sketch of Dawn as a druid from the Fantasy movie challenge. Quickly closing up his journal before Harold saw anything Lincoln stood up and addressed his friend. "So what's up man? Need anything?"
"Well I was hoping to get your opinion on something since you were the one to help me out with it in the first place," Harold began as Lincoln simply heard him out. "So after seeing how Owen was barely able to finally win Izzy back before getting voted off…I was thinking maybe I should finally ask Leshawna to be my girlfriend before one of us ended up getting voted off."
"Oh, I see," Lincoln's eyes widened a bit before he hummed in thought. He could definitely see where Harold was coming from and honestly at this point he thought it might be good for him and go for it. "Well hey take it from me man I think you should be good,"
"…Last I checked, didn't Dawn confess to you first?" Harold asked with a bit of a teasing grin.
"…Look, the point is I think you should be good," Lincoln deadpanned at Harold.
"Yeah I know, I'm just messing with you," Harold chuckled a bit before scratching the back of his head. "So you really think it's a good time to ask her?"
"Yeah man totally," Lincoln encouraged Harold with a grin. "I think you two have really gotten close over the season so far and I can tell she really likes you. I think now is a perfect time to go for it!"
"Well if that's the case, then I'll do it! Today is the day I officially ask Leshawna to be my girlfriend!" Harold announced for anyone nearby to hear. After getting encouragement from Lincoln, there wasn't any doubt over what he should do now. But there was still one question Harold had. "Now I just need to find out how to do it, Leshawna's a special girl. I wanna ask her in a special way."
"Hmmmm, let me think…" Lincoln hummed in thought again as he tapped his chin a bit. A lightbulb soon went off in his head as Lincoln snapped his fingers. "How about you write her a poem! She really liked the love letters you made for her last season."
"A poem, Lincoln you're a genius!" Harold grinned as he immediately took out some paper and a pencil that was in their trailer and quickly got down to brainstorming. "I gotta get to work on this write away, it needs to be perfect!"
"Good luck buddy!" Lincoln sent Harold a grin as the ginger nerd left the trailer, and soon entering the boys' trailer was Dawn who was sending Lincoln a small smile. "Hey babe, what's up?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to see you," Dawn told her boyfriend before hugging him with Lincoln grinning and happily returning the hug. "I saw you were helping Harold finally confess to Leshawna, I'm very proud of you for that."
"Hehe, well what can I say I think the two will be happy together." Lincoln said as he and Dawn sat down on his bed together. "Soooo between you and me, what do you think his chances are? Got any reads on Leshawna's aura about her feelings for him?"
"Weeeell, I probably shouldn't say anything but I think his chances are good~" Dawn revealed with a wink to Lincoln. Lincoln smiled, even happier for Harold. Looks like Harold might be getting himself the girl of his dreams by the end of the day. Just then Dawn reached into her pocket and pulled out a tube of lipstick and showed it off to Lincoln. "But as for you I got a bit of a surprise~"
"Lipstick?" Lincoln asked with a raised brow. "Thanks but not really my thing."
"Heheh, silly~ I got this lipstick from the candy factory." Dawn explained to him before taking the lid off and revealing that it wasn't just any lipstick. It was chocolate lipstick. Lincoln's eyes widened as Dawn applied to her lips before leaning nice and close to him. "Since you gave Owen you're candy I thought you deserved a sweet treat~"
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"Gosh that woman is the best thing that ever happened to me," A completely love struck Lincoln let out.
After Lincoln and Dawn had some…fun together the aura reader was the first to leave the trailer with a smirk on her face with the lipstick she applied earlier now all gone. Instead it was on Lincoln's face who had a bunch of chocolate lipstick marks on it. "Wow…" Lincoln let out with a red face before he took out a tissue and began cleaning his face off. As much as he liked it he didn't need the others teasing him for all that. Plus the chocolate would make his face sticky. "I love that woman~"
"Lincoln!" Lincoln blinked a few times as he heard a familiar voice calling out to him. Looking, the white haired boy saw his littlest sister running up to him. "There you are!"
"Hey Lily," Lincoln kindly greeted his sister as he stepped off the steps leading to the boys' trailer and knelt down to be at eye level with her. "What's up?"
"I was…wondering if I could talk to you about something," Lily asked a bit hesitantly, the six-year-old a bit nervous about asking her brother this question. "Something I've noticed."
"Oh, and what's that?" Lincoln asked as he raised his brow a bit.
"It's about…Ronnie Anne," Lily said slowly, making Lincoln's eyes widen. Oh boy what did she wanna ask about her. "I just…I can't help but notice how everyone has treated her since she arrived here,"
"..Huh?" Lincoln let out slowly, blinking a bit in confusion.
"It's just…whenever stuff happens to her everyone points and laughs! Even you!" Lily pointed out in a bit of an upset tone as she recalled all the little moments where that happened. Her team losing challenges, Jasmine knocking her out in the fantasy movie challenge, Duncan pulling her pants down, her drinking the hot sauce in the monster movie challenge, etc. "It's…really mean…"
"O-Oh it's…" Lincoln dreaded answering this. Everyone else understood but explaining something like this to someone Lily's age would be…difficult. Especially since Lily quite liked Ronnie Anne. "That's because…oh boy…"
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"How do I explain that to her?!" Lincoln asked in a bit of a panicked voice. Of all the things Lily had to ask him, why that? "I don't wanna introduce her to teen drama like this when she's just a kid! And yeah I know what this show's all about but you know what I mean!"
Lily was looking rather impatient as Lincoln struggled to give an answer. "You see…um…Lily..." But luckily Lincoln wouldn't have to continue.
"Attention contestants!" For the first time ever Lincoln was glad to hear Chris' voice through the loudspeakers as the host got ready to bring them into another challenge. "It's time for today's challenge! Both teams head to the Gilded Chris stage pronto! McLain out."
"Oh thank God…" Lincoln sighed out as he stood up. "Sorry Lily, maybe later. Gotta go now bye!"
"Hey!" Lily called out to him as he ran off with all the other teens heading out of the Craft Services tent to head to the stage like Chris instructed, leading Lily to kick a pebble in frustration. "Ah poo-poo..."
"Well, we're here," Heather stated impatiently as both teams had made it to the Gilded Chris stage and sat down in the benches usually meant for the losing team. And just like the Horror Movie Challenge Chris was nowhere in sight. "Is he hiding to try and prank us again?"
"I think you know the answer to that," Justin rolled his eyes before leaning back on his bench. "Let's just see what he has in store for us this time."
Meanwhile Ronnie Anne was just sitting with crossed arms, a permanent glare on her face that she occasionally sent the Gaffers' way, growling a bit at the other team that had such a big numbers advantage over them.
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"I am so sick and tired of losing! Four times in a row is just humiliating and completely unacceptable!" Ronnie Anne shouted out, completely at her wits end with her team and how much they were losing. They were lucky to have half of those loses be a reward challenge, if not they would be down by three if not four players! The disadvantage they had with the Gaffers was already bad enough. "We need a win badly and we really need to start dwindling the Gaffers numbers!"
Just then dramatic, and rather familiar, music began playing through the speakers on the stage. Soon a large amount of fog began covering the stage and out of it everyone watched as what looked like a moon rover drove out of the fog with someone in an astronaut costume behind the wheel. Everyone watched with widened eyes as the astronaut stopped before reaching back and grabbing a flag pole that had the Canadian flag on it and stepped out of the rover. "That's one small step for Canada!" The astronaut's voice was obviously Chris', well that answered where he was. "And one giant leap for Chris kind!"
Chris then planted the flag on stage before taking off his helmet and revealing his ever smiling face to the contestants. "Good morning contestants!" Chris greeted everyone as he hopped off the stage and walked in front of everyone. "Hope you all got plenty of helmet polish because today we are going to infinity…and beyond! It's time for the astronaut movies!"
"Oh cool!" Lincoln and a few of the other sci-fi buffs in the bleachers all grinned in excitement for this. They weren't sure they were gonna do this after alien movies but they were glad for being wrong. "Got plenty of experience for this! Space and astronaut movies were my favorite when I was a kid! Still watch plenty today too!"
"Same here! I own all the best space movies from the last four decades!" Harold couldn't help but brag a bit there. Meanwhile in the ginger's hands were the paper and pencil he grabbed earlier. Challenge or no, he wanted his poem to Leshawna to be the best it could be! "My favorite is Apollo 13, a true movie about the dangers astronauts face every time they blast off."
"Ugh it's already starting to stink of nerd," Heather mocked as she covered her nose with Ronnie Anne snickering in response. "So what do we just need to move slowly towards a rocket or something?"
"No, only Justin could pull that off," Chris pointed out with Justin smirking in response as a few of the girls nearby swooned over him as he ran a hand through his hair. "Today you'll be experiencing some of the things astronauts go through during training to handle the cold dark infinite and weightless void of space."
"You're not gonna put us in a situation where there's no air is there?" Mike asked in a worried tone.
"Now where's the fun in spoiling the surprise?" Chris said cryptically, worrying most of the contestants as the host got back in his rover. "Now follow me cadets! Time to blast off with this challenge!"
Chris then drove off with the other contestants being quick to follow the host before they lost track of him.
Eventually Chris led them to a set that was decorated with a space theme with stars hanging on the ceiling and planets and other such props being hung up on the walls. In the middle of the set was a large and deep looking pool and outside the pool on both sides were two mixture lab sets. "For your first challenge, you'll both be putting your skills in Zero-G's and your skills working in the science lab to the test!" Chris announced as he gestured to the pool. "Now one thing astronauts do is bring back cool rocks from space for scientists to examine and see what's so cool about them before realizing they're just normal boring rocks."
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"Shows what Chris knows, there's no such thing as a boring rock," Harold stated as he brought up a random rock he got from outside. "Rocks can contain all sorts of special properties and materials hidden in them, especially space rocks. Like imagine the stories this rock could tell if it could talk! The infinite knowledge a simple stone could hold could unlock the secrets of our very world!"
"Now since we don't have the budget to afford any sort of anti gravity room, we'll be using the next best thing. Going underwater!" Chris explained as a few eyes widened in response as Chef came in carrying two pairs of rather heavy looking boots. "At the bottom of this pool are a whole bunch of rocks. Most of them average everyday rocks but among them are a couple moon rocks. Each team must wear these special boots that will let you sink all the way to the bottom, collect a rock and you may only carry one at a time, and then climb back up to the top on the ladders installed in the pool."
"How deep is this exactly?" Bridgette asked as she went over to the edge of the pool.
"About 50 feet give or take," Chris stated, getting a few worried gasps from everyone.
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"Again I wish I had gills!" Harold yelled while shaking his fist.
"Now once surfaced the astronaut must present the rock to the rest of their team who will examine the rock with the provided equipment to see if it's a real moon rock or just a dud." Chris further explained the challenge as he gestured to Chef who swapped out his Chef's hat for a captain's hat. "If you got a real moon rock, present it to Mission Control here to net a victory for your team and an advantage for the next challenge."
"How are we supposed to use all this stuff?" Tyler asked as he gestured to the lab equipment on both sides of the pool.
"You're the astronauts now, you can figure it out. Hehehe~" Chris laughed, getting groans from most of the contestants in front of him. "Now teams, pick your rock hunter. And don't worry, in the event one of you starts drowning we have our usual lifeguard on duty!"
"Brbrbrb!" Edward let out as he sat on top of a lifeguard's chair much like last season.
"Got any good swimmers in your head?" Trent whispered to Mike.
"Eeeeh, Vito's probably my best swimmer," Mike shrugged, not thinking any of his personalities were gonna be too much of help with this.
"So Dawn, you know anything about rocks?" Leshawna asked as the Gaffer's all gathered up to determine who the diver would be. "I know you got a case full of em,"
"I know about crystals, but I'm not exactly a space geologist." Dawn explained to everyone. "But I can be the diver, I'm good at controlling my breathing."
"Sounds good, just leave it to me when it comes to examining it." Harold grinned as he pointed a thumb to himself. "I know exactly how all this works! I was born to do this challenge!"
"Let me guess," Lincoln began with a bit of a grin. "You went to Astronaut Steve's Space Camp?"
"I know you're saying that as a slight jab. But yes, yes I did," Harold smirked and raised his head. "We got this in the bag! I'll just need some help with a few pieces of equipment!"
"You got game baby!" Leshawna complimented Harold as she patted him on the back, causing the nerdy ginger to smile and blush a bit. "Let's keep up our winning streak Gaffers!"
Harold took the chance before the challenge started to work a bit more on his poem for Leshawna.
"Alright quick," Ronnie Anne addressed her team. She refused to take another loss, from now on she was out for blood and wanted to make sure she chose the person who'd give her the best odds at winning. "Who can hold their breath the longest?"
"Right here bro!" Geoff stepped up as he raised his hand. "Me and my buds back home had contests to see who could hold their breath the longest. Sometimes we'd spend a good few minutes in the water before having to come back up."
"Good enough," Ronnie Anne nodded in response before looking at the rest of her team again. "You can dive for rocks while the rest of us try to…figure all this out," Ronnie Anne gestured to the science equipment that she nor any of them had any clue how to use. Good God she really did have all the dumb people on her team didn't she?
"Oooo, I got this!" Izzy yelled out as she ran up to the lab set up. "I have an IQ of 186!"
"In what?" Tyler asked with a concerned look. "Blowing stuff up!"
"That too!" Izzy's words did not put Tyler at ease.
"Ok someone keep the crazy girl here away from the lab please?" Heather stated as she gestured to Izzy, the psycho hose beast paying her no mind as she picked up a few beakers to put in front of her face with everyone watching as her face contorted with the glass. "I'd like to keep the little hair I have left."
After a few more minutes both teams stood at opposite ends of the pool with the Gaffers by their laboratory and the Grips around theirs with Justin keeping Izzy away from all the equipment. The only exceptions were Dawn and Geoff who were standing next to the edge of the pool with the special boots on. "Astronauts ready!" Chris yelled out as he raised his hand high before swiping it down. "Blast off!"
Immediately both Geoff and Dawn jumped into the water with Geoff of course doing a cannonball. Thanks to the boots they were wearing Dawn and Geoff immediately began sinking towards the bottom, it took them a good few moments before they reached the bottom but like Chris said they saw a whole bunch of different rocks were placed at the bottom of the pool. All different kinds and all of them being either gray or black and of various shapes and sizes. It was impossible to tell which ones were the moon rocks they were looking for so all they could do was walk around and decide which one to pick.
Walking across the bottom of the pool, Chris wasn't kidding about underwater simulating zero gravity. They bounced with basically every step and it was hard to keep balance especially due to the only weight they could feel being on their feet. Eventually both picked out a rock after looking through them for a bit and began making their way back up.
It took a bit of time but luckily both weren't kidding when they said they were good at holding their breath as they were able to handle being underwater the entire time without much worry. Soon both emerged holding their rocks up to their team. "I got one!" Dawn announced as she held it out with Lincoln grabbing it.
"Heads up dudes!" Geoff yelled out as he tossed the rocks towards his team. Tyler was about to catch it but the jock missed it leading to it hitting him in the face and knocking him down. "Oops, sorry bro."
"Ok a majority of discovered moon rocks are under the category of basalt rocks," Harold announced to everyone as Lincoln handed him the rock. "We'll need to look at it through a microscope to see if it has a fine-grained texture as well as open it up to see if it has gas bubbles trapped inside."
"Alright then let's get to work!" Leshawna said as Harold was quick to put the rock under a microscope and examine it.
Unknown to everyone Heather was hiding behind one of the cardboard standees of a rocket ship and overheard everything Harold said. Grinning deviously Heather ran back to her team to tell them what they needed to do. "Ok I got the intel, it was mostly a bunch of nerdy crap," Heather rolled her eyes but Ronnie Anne roughly cleared her throat, signaling Heather to get it on with. "Basically look through the microscope for a fine-grained texture then crack it open and see if it has air bubbles."
"Got it," Ronnie Anne smirked as she put the rock under a microscope to get a good look at it.
"No good," Harold said after examining the rock, ultimately determining that it wasn't the moon rock. "It's smooth as a baby's butt, you'll have to dive again Dawn!"
"On it!" Dawn smiled before taking a deep breath and sinking back down.
"Ugh, no good," Ronnie Anne tossed the rock aside after looking it over for a bit. "Geoff, new rock, now!"
"You got it dude!" Geoff flashed a thumbs up before sinking back down into the water.
As the two went back down, entering the set was Lily. She knew Chris hadn't asked her to help with the challenge today but she still needed an answer to her question earlier. It was obvious that Lincoln was dodging it and even if she wanted to hound him about it he was currently busy leading his team. Luckily Lily had a solid plan B in the form of a blond surfer girl. "Excuse me," Lily spoke up as she walked towards Bridgette, getting her attention as Bridgette looked down at the youngest Loud. "Could I ask you something Bridgette?"
"Of course you can Lily," Bridgette told Lily kindly as she leaned down to be on the 6-year-olds level. "What seems to be up?"
"It's about Ronnie Anne," Lily began with Bridgette raising a brow in interest. While that wasn't one of the top things Bridgette liked talking about she was still willing to hear the little girl out. "It's just…I've known Ronnie Anne my whole life and she was always nice to me. But everyone seems to hate her here and she's been acting really rude and angry. I just don't understand what's up…"
"I see…" Bridgette slowly began. So that's what this was about. Bridgette had to take a moment to think of how to explain this to Lily. "Lily, do you know why your brother and Ronnie Anne broke up?"
"I think it was because she was upset that Lincoln was accepted onto the first season of the show and she wasn't." Lily recalled the memories of that event the best she could. "I don't know too much about it, mom took me out of the room when they started arguing."
"Yeah…Lily here's the thing. Being in a relationship means you have to respect each other's decisions and feelings," Bridgette tried to explain things in a way someone as young as Lily could understand. Had to simplify it a little bit. "Ronnie Anne didn't respect Lincoln's."
"She didn't?" Lily asked with a small head tilt and frown.
"I'm afraid not sweetie," Bridgette gently shook her head. "From what Lincoln told me it seems Ronnie Anne wasn't a very caring girlfriend."
"But they were such good friends!" Lily told the surfer girl. She remembered all the stories Lincoln and Ronnie Anne told her of when they were kids. Even after Ronnie Anne and her family moved they kept in touch and regularly visited each other.
"Being friends is a lot different than being a boyfriend and girlfriend," Bridgette gently explained to Lily. When a couple is formed there's all sorts of new boundaries and such that are formed, it becomes a lot more complicated. It's why Bridgette never liked the best friends to lovers trope in cartoons and movies and such. Being great friends didn't automatically translate well into being a good romantic relationship. "You'll understand when you're older."
"Phooey…" Lily grumpily let out. "That's what everyone says…"
"Heh, trust me won't be the last time you hear it," Bridgette told her before playfully ruffling the little girl's hair. "Some things just come from growing up."
"Growing up doesn't sound like fun…" Lily muttered as she looked down sadly. She missed everything being so simple. Lincoln and Ronnie Anne liked each other and they were a couple and none of this weird older kid drama.
"I won't lie, some parts can really suck," Bridgette let out a hollow chuckle. Just wait until the kid learned about the birds and the bees when she was going through 'that special time in life' Bridgette can safely speak for herself that it was…an event when she was going through it. "But it'll all be worth it in the end,"
"We got one! Quick!" Harold announced to everyone as he got another rock that Dawn brought back up.
"I gotta go sweetie," Bridgette told the youngest Loud before giving her a little kiss on the forehead, making Lily giggle a bit. "But let me know if you need to talk again, ok?"
"I will!" Lily nodded and managed to give a smile. "Thanks Bridgette!"
And so the hunt for the moon rock went on. Dawn and Geoff would constantly bring up rocks for their teams to quickly check and see if they were a moon rock. Some rocks passed the first test of having the right texture, but when it came time to crack the rock in half there were no air bubbles at all inside.
Until…
"Hey wait!" Leshawna yelled out as she used a hammer and chisel to crack the rock Harold handed her in half. And after inspecting it for a couple seconds, Leshawna gasped as she spotted air bubbles inside of the rock! "I think I got one!"
"Let me look!" Harold quickly grabbed both halves of the rocks and looked over it for a bit before grinning and holding it up in victory. "We got one! I'll go get this to Chef!"
"What?!" Hearing this and watching Harold head over to Chef was Ronnie Anne who's team had yet to find a correct rock. Growling, Ronnie Anne picked up the rock she was examining and aimed it at Harold. "I'm not losing again!"
"Victory is-AH!" But Harold tripped as Ronnie Anne successfully hit him in the leg with the rock, the rock Harold was carrying flew out of his hands. The Gaffers gasped in worry and Ronnie Anne grinned viciously as the rock flew through the air…and much to Ronnie Anne's disappointment into Chef's waiting hand. Harold and the Gaffers breathed a sigh of relief as he looked up at Chef. "Is it a moon rock?"
"Hmmmmm…" Chef hummed as he looked over the rock a bit, taking out a monocular handheld loupe to properly examine it. Everyone watched with bated breath as they waited to hear Chef's verdict. After a few moments Chef looked towards the Gaffer's…and gave them a nod. "You got a genuine moon rock here. Gaffers win!"
"Woohoo!" All the Gaffer's cheered as they raised up their hands and fist in victory.
CONFESSIONAL – Ronnie Anne
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Ronnie Anne shouted with the fires of anger burning in her eyes.
"Gaffers congratulations on bringing back your moon rock, as promised you will be given an advantage for the next challenge," Chris announced as he walked up to both teams, the host looking towards the Grips after addressing the winning team. "Grips come on, step it up you guys! We really gonna see you guys lose five times in a row?"
"Uuuugh…" Nearly all the Grips let out as they lowered their heads in shame with Ronnie Anne letting out a feral sounding growl.
"Now come on cadets!" Chef then pulled up on the moon rover Chris drove earlier with Edward standing on top of the buff cook's head. "Time to head to the second part of the challenge and see which team truly has what it takes to make it in space!"
Chris then got into the passenger seat of the rover before Chef drove off with both teams following after them.
Their next location was set up outside on a race course that was setup to have a moon theme with craters and bumpy rocky terrain. And at the very end of the course was what looked like a lunar lander. "I like to call this challenge, the Rover that Drove Over the Moon!" Chris announced as everyone watched as Chef towed two more moon rovers to the start of the course with the rovers both containing a flag, one having a green flag with the Gaffer logo on it and one having a red flag with the Grips logo on it. "For this challenge each team will have someone drive these moon rovers over to the lunar lander at the end and plant their team's flag!"
Chris then gestured to two sets of computers that were set up in front of the track. "But of course you can't have dudes in space without mission control there to help out. Or in this case hinder," Chris explained as the teams followed him towards the computer to see what was up with them. "These computers are linked to certain…surprises set up around the course."
"What kind of surprises exactly?" Jasmine asked skeptically.
"Come on, you know me well enough by now," Chris chuckled a bit as he pointed a thumb to the course. "Booby traps like cracking the ground, oil spills, and of course…" Chris then clicked a button on the keyboard and everyone watched as a bomb went off on the course with green slime splattering where the bomb went off. "Yeah we had some slime left over from the alien challenge and it seemed like a good use of it."
"So we just gotta pick our drivers then?" Ronnie Anne asked quickly. She couldn't mess this up, the Grips needed this win and if you want something done right you do it yourself. "Because I'll dri-"
"Yeeeah, normally we would let you choose who the driver is," Chris grinned in amusement as Chef walked up with two different astronaut helmets, one having the Gaffer logo and the other having a Grips logo. "But for this challenge we'd thought it'd be more fun to leave it up to lady luck!"
"Sweet, that's my middle name!" Izzy cheered with a big grin.
"Cool it! I haven't called you yet!" Chris told the psycho hose beast before sticking his hand into the Gaffer helmet and taking out a folded up piece of paper. "Driving for the Gaffers…Leshawna!"
"Aw yeah!" Leshawna cheered as she stepped up. "Might as well give up now because no one does better behind the wheel than me!"
"And for the Grips…" Chris then reached into the Grip helmet and pulled out another piece of folded up paper. "Lindsay!"
"Yay!" The ditzy blond cheered as most of her team groaned in response.
CONFESSIONAL – Heather
"We're doomed…" The bald queen bee facepalmed in despair.
Once the drivers were announced, Leshawna and Lindsay were both wearing space suits and the helmets that Chris picked their names out from. The remaining members of both teams were at their mission control stations ready to activate whatever booby traps were necessary. "Ok Lindsay, Leshawna, as stated earlier, to win you must get over to the lunar lander and plant your flag to make one big leap for your team!" Chris stated as he pointed to the end of the course where Chef walked up carrying a big wheel burrow of rocks with him. "But you gotta look out for more than booby traps! One big hazard of space is avoiding asteroids and Chef here will be chucking them like no tomorrow at you!"
"Heheh, and I feel a storm coming," The buff cook grinned as he tossed a rock up and down in his hand.
"And prowling the moon's surface as well…" Waddling, or more accurately bouncing, over the space themed racy way was Edward wearing spring boots on his flippers. "The elusive space duck!"
"Brbrbrb!" Edward let out as he began bouncing around with Chef watching in awe.
"What a majestic creature," Chef muttered out.
"Ok Leshawna, your team won so you get a ten second head start!" Chris told the girl with a tude as she grinned in response. "And…go!"
"Woohoo!" Leshawa cheered as she immediately floored it and sped forward to get as much distance as possible "Eat my space dust!"
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"I always thought space suits were cool but seeing Leshawna wear one showed me how sexy they can be~" Harold said with a completely enamored tone as he continued working on his poem for her. "I have to make this confession perfect! I want my poem to be just as beautiful as her!"
"Come on guys quick!" Ronnie Anne told her team as they quickly looked through the computer. "We gotta slow her down so Lindsay can catch up! She needs all the help she can get!"
"Hey!" Lindsay yelled out in an offended tone.
"Lindsay you may go in ten…nine…eight…" Chris began counting down to when Lindsay was allowed to go.
"Try this one!" Geoff yelled out as he pressed a key on the keyboard.
A crack then opened up in the course…but it was to the left of where Leshawna was. "Hahahah!" Leshawna laughed as she easily drove by the crack without it being much of an obstacle for her. "Better work on your aim party boy because you couldn't hit the broadside of a barn!"
"…" The Grips all sent glares towards Geoff.
"Haha…I'll just…stand over here dudes…" Geoff laughed nervously before taking a few steps back.
"Three…two…one...BLAST OFF!" Chris yelled out, allowing Lindsay to finally go.
"Wheeeee!" Lindsay yelled out as she slammed on the gas to try and catch up to Leshawna.
"Alright guys let's see what we have to work with here…" Lincoln said as he and everyone else began looking through the computer. They saw the various booby traps that were labeled on the computer as well as where they were on the course with various landmarks laid out on the map. "Ok here's the plan, Jasmine and DJ you two are the tallest so keep a look out for where Lindsay is on the track. Point out anything specific about the area she's in so we know where to activate the traps!"
"Got it mate!" Jasmine and DJ both ran towards the edge of the track and looked to where the Ditzy blond was driving. "She's approaching the area with the large crater in the middle of the track!"
"Got it!" Lincoln grinned as he activated a slime bomb track.
BOOM!
"AH!" Lindsay let out as a slime bomb went off right in front of her. The blond was forced to stop a bit as the bomb pushed her back and coated her and her rover in a layer of slime. "Ooooh…so gross…"
"Lindsay, keep driving! Now!" Ronnie Anne shouted in a pissed off tone making Lindsay winced as she quickly booked it again. Growling a bit, Ronnie Anne quickly looked through the computer to see what she could use against Leshawna. "Let's see how you like this!"
Ronnie Anne pressed a button and Leshawna watched as a puddle of oil formed in front of her. Narrowing her eyes, Leshawna proceeded to make her rover spin around as it passed by the oil before straightening her vehicle no worse for wear. "What?!" Ronnie Anne shouted as she and the other Grips put on stunned looks.
"Hah! Can't take this sista down that easily!" Leshawna grinned as she continued forward.
CONFESSIONAL – Leshawna
"My daddy taught me how to drive, showed me all the rules of the road." Leshawna stated before smirking a bit and crossing her arms. "But my momma taught me how to dominate the road and make sure no one slows me down! I got this challenge in the bag!"
"Here comes the Asteroids!" Chris announced through a megaphone as he sat down on a lawn chair next to the moon rover. "Chef! Let em have it!"
"Gladly," Chef chuckled before he began chucking the rocks he brought along with him.
"Woah!" Leshawna let out as she ducked under one that was sent her way. Looking forward, she flinched as she saw more coming her way and was quick to maneuver her rover to dodge all the incoming rocks. "Didn't you throw enough crap when you broke Owen's jaw?!"
Chef's only response was to throw even more rocks.
"AH!" Lindsay screamed in panic as she tried to avoid all the rocks being thrown her way. Sure she had her learners permit but that never prepared her for dodging slime bombs, oil slicks, cracks in the ground, and people chucking rocks towards you. "Oh no…" Lindsay let out as she saw she was heading right for a crater. On instinct Lindsay slammed down on the gas as hard as she could and sped right into the crater. The Grips all gasped in worry at this…but soon watched as Lindsay rocketed out of the crater like it was a ramp and got some serious airtime. "Wheeeeee!"
"Go Lindsay! Go!" Tyler cheered his girlfriend on.
"Oh no! We gotta slow her down!" DJ yelled out as he called out to Lincoln. "Lincoln! She's by the small hill!"
"Come on, come on!" Lincoln bit his lip a bit as he activated the trap.
Lindsay grinned as she landed and began gaining speed, but unfortunately that wouldn't last as a crack opened in the ground in front of her with Lindsay running right over it. "Woah!" Lindsay let out as her rover briefly got stuck and caused her to spin out a bit and lose all the speed she built up. "No! No! No! No! No!"
The Grips watched anxiously as Lindsay struggled to straighten out her rover before she began racing forward again, now way behind Leshawna with everything looking towards the Gaffer scoring their fifth win in a row. "Come on Lindsay!!!" Ronnie Anne called out with an angry red face, her tone completely exasperated "Go faster already she's almost there!"
"I'm trying!" Lindsay yelled back as she slammed her foot on the gas. "But this is as fast as it goes!"
"Ugh I knew this would happen!" Heather yelled out in frustration as she slapped her hand against her forehead. "Never expect that boob for brains to get anything done!"
"Hey I won the first half of the prison-" Lindsay began with an irritated tone. She really hated it when her teammates ragged on her like this and she was just getting sick and tired of this.
"Think it's too late to convince Chris to let someone with a brain behind the wheel?" Ronnie Anne dryly asked Heather before the two shared a laugh at that jab towards Lindsay.
"….." Lindsay was silent as she put on a sour look. Taking a deep breath in and out, a rather devious smile came to Lindsay's face before she shouted out. "What's that Ronnie Anne and Heather!" Lindsay made sure to yell loud enough so everyone could hear, especially Leshawna. "You think Leshawna's giant butt will slow her down and help me win?! That's veeeery interesting!"
Ronnie Anne and Heather rose brows at this, but everyone watched as Leshawna suddenly hit the brakes on her rover and turned her head back to glare at Ronnie Anne and Heather. "What was that?! Nuh-uh! Nuh-uh-uh-uh, I have had enough of you two's attitude!" Leshawna then did a u-turn and aimed her rover right towards the Grip's mission control, making them all flinch. "It's about time someone shuts you two up!"
"…Crap…" Ronnie Anne let out as Leshawna gunned it for her and Heather.
"BOLT!" Heather yelled out as she and Ronnie Anne began running away as fast as they could as Leshawna drove after that.
Lindsay smirked a bit as she began driving forward at a moderate pace. "Brbrbrb!" Bouncing towards her and landing in the passenger seat of the ditzy blonde's rover was Edward who looked up at her. "Brbrbr! Brbrbr!"
"Aaww, hi Edward!" Lindsay kindly greeted the platypus as she petted him. "Wanna ride with me?"
"Brbrbr!" Edward smiled and made himself comfortable.
"Leshawna wait!" The Gaffers all watched in dread as Leshawna completely abandoned the race in order to chase down Heather and Ronnie Anne. "The race!"
"Forget about them!" Lincoln tried to call out to his teammate. "You gotta win this!"
"It's too late!" Dawn told everyone with a wince. "She's too far gone!"
"AAAAAAHHH!!" Heather and Ronnie Anne yelled as they continued to run away. But unfortunately the two girls weren't quite as fast as a full speed rover and soon enough Leshawna successfully ran the two over leaving them all scuffed up on the ground. "Uuuuugh…"
"Haha! That's what you two get!" Leshawna laughed as she turned her head back while continuing to drive. This unfortunately made her miss the crater that was right in front of her and-
CRASH!
All the Gaffers watched as Leshawna crashed her rover right into the middle of the crater. "…Oops…" Leshawna slowly let out as she finally realized she may have messed up. "My bad."
CONFESSIONAL – Leshawna
"My momma also taught me never to take smack from anyone, that includes on the road too," Leshawna shared more lessons her momma taught her. "Oh and uncle Mack if you're watching this, sorry about your car! But it wasn't my fault, they cut me off!"
Lindsay grinned as she managed to reach the lunar lander and got her flag before stepping out and planting it firmly in front of it while striking a pose. "And that's one giant leap and one victory for the Killer Grips!" Chris announced as he got out of his lawn chair with the Grips all cheering for finally scoring a victory with the Gaffers all sighing in defeat. "Might I say congratulations on not coming in last again, as for you Gaffers your winning streak finally comes to an end so, I'll be seeing your butts at the Gilded Chris Ceremony tonight! Time for one of you to be ejected from the crew!"
CONFESSIONAL – Harold
"Looks like the feared time might be coming sooner than I thought," Harold sighed in sadness before putting on a determined look and he got to work on finishing up the poem he was working all day on. "Just a few more touches and this will be perfect! I won't miss the last chance I might have!"
CONFESSIONAL – Lincoln
"Did I enjoy watching Leshawna run over Heather and Ronnie Anne? Admittedly, yes," Lincoln admitted with a bit of a grin. "But I rather not have that come at the cost of winning…"
"Whooo!" The Grips all cheered as they, minus a still recovering Heather and Ronnie Anne, ran up to Lindsay as she took her helmet off.
"Lindsay, that was awesome!" Tyler complimented as he walked up to his girlfriend, not noticing how Lindsay was giving him a bit of a stink eye. "You really pulled through babe!"
"Hmph," But Lindsay didn't pay them any mind as she turned her back to them before leaving with her head held high.
"Huh?" Tyler blinked a few times as he and the rest of his team gave Lindsay confused looks due to how she acted. They were complimenting her for winning! "Was it something I said?"
CONFESSIONAL – Lindsay
"I don't need my team's validation, earlier they had no faith that I could win!" Lindsay said, smirking for herself and feeling nothing but pride that she was able to win that challenge all by herself. "I won without their help or cheering! Good job Lindsay! Thanks Lindsay!" Lindsay gave herself a high five.
THE GILDED CHRIS CEREMONY
The iconic music and lights of the Gilded Chris ceremony began blaring through the film lot as yet another elimination ceremony began. For the first time in a while the Gaffers all sat themselves in the loser benches while the Grips were all fancied up and sitting in the VIP section. As usual, Chris came out to the podium in his fancy blue suit. "Welcome everyone to yet another Gilded Chris ceremony!" Chris gave the usual first announcements before turning to the Grips. "May I congratulate the Grips, or rather Lindsay, for not ending up on the hot seat again."
Lindsay rose her head in pride as both Heather and Ronnie Anne, who were still a bit scuffed up from earlier, gave Lindsay the stink eye.
CONFESSIONAL – Heather
"Is it wrong that I actually wanted to lose again?" Heather asked with an irritated expression. "Seriously I want Lindsay gone already! When is Ronnie Anne gonna hold up her end of the deal!?"
"Gaffers, you know the drill!" Chris told the losing team as they all took out their voting boxes. "Select who you want to give the boot to and whoever does not get a Gilded Chris will blast off far away from here for good! And don't even think about radioing Houston for help!"
It took only a few moments for the Gaffers to make their decision as they decided who to vote off. Soon Chef came by with the Gilded Chris' and the results of the vote that Chris quickly read off. "Ok then, Lincoln, Harold, you're both safe space cadets!" Harold and Lincoln both grinned as they caught their statues. "Dawn, Bridgette, you two are good as well!
"Phew," Bridgette let out in relief as she and Dawn caught their statues.
"Trent, Mike, Jasmine, you three are good to go!" Chris then tossed the next statues to the safe contestants who all grinned as they caught their statues. That left only one statue, but two contestants, DJ and Leshawna. Both looked a little nervous as they glanced at each other before looking forward to Chris again. "Leshawna! You're in hot water for that little stunt you pulled earlier! Sure we may all wanna see Heather and Ronnie Anne get rocked around a little but is it worth it if it cost your team the win?"
Leshawna gulped a bit in worry as the other two mentioned ladies growled at Chris. "And DJ!" The Brickhouse flinched a bit as Chris called him out. "You…um…you uh…huh, ya know can't really think of a reason why the others would vote you out! So here's your Gilded Chris big guy!"
DJ sighed in relief as he caught his statue as Leshawna slumped down in defeat. "Well…guess I can't say I blame ya guy," Leshawna sighed out, wasn't the first time her temper got her in trouble. Probably the first time it cost her a million dollars though. "Guess I'll see y'all later."
But as Leshawna was about to head down the carpet of shame…
"WAIT!!!" Calling out to Leshawna and running up to her was Harold who quickly pulled something out of his pocket. "Before you go Leshawna…there's something important I need to tell you,"
"What is it Harold?" Leshawna asked with a raised brow.
"I…wrote this for you. I-I hope you like it." Harold cleared his throat before he read Leshawna the poem he wrote all for her. "When we first met, we got off on the wrong foot, I offended you and called you a brute," Leshawna blinked a few times, a bit offended but allowed Harold to go on. "But as I watched you from afar I noticed your beauty, your smoldering eyes and smokin' hot booty."
"Pfft," Geoff and a few others let out. But Harold didn't let him dismay him especially as Leshawna went from offended to flattered.
"Not only that, but also your kind heart , your fun attitude and body sculpted like fine art," Now Leshawna was beginning to blush as Harold's poem began making her heart start beating rather quickly. That boy just had a way with words. "As we worked together I felt we've grown closer. Growing in respect and admiration, I thought we could go further."
Harold then took a deep breath as he got ready to finish up the poem. "Though your time on the show may be at an end, I have one thing to ask you." Harold then looked up and looked Leshawna right in the eyes. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Multiple gasps were heard as Lincoln silently cheered Harold on. Harold saw Leshawna seemed to be taken aback causing him to sheepishly look down. "I just…remember how you said we should take things slower ya know," Harold explained to her rather shyly. "But I thought maybe after everything…we could-"
SMOOOOOOOCH~!
But Harold was cut off as Leshawna grabbed him by his collar and pulled him in for a deep kiss. "Finally!" Dawn yelled out as the Gaffers all cheered for the two with even Lindsay and Geoff from the Grips giving kudos to Harold.
After a good moment, Leshawna and Harold finally separated and Leshawna gave Harold a loving look. "Harold I'll say it again, you are the strangest, baddest, and freakiest white boy I have ever met," Leshawna quoted the words she told Harold back on Playa Des Losers. "But now…I think I'm ready to take that step"
"Really? You mean it?" Harold asked with an eager smile. "So you'll go out with me?"
"Harold, when this crazy show is over you and me are gonna go on one hell of a first date," Leshawna assured Harold before giving him another kiss. "But first, kick everyone's butt here and win that grand prize. You got it baby?"
"I promise, I'll win this for you!" Harold declared as he put a hand to his heart. Harold then had to watch as Leshawna, his now girlfriend, walked down the carpet and waved him farewell as it drove off. "Farewell Leshawna! I'll carry on knowing you're rooting for me!"
"Aaaaww! Don't you just love happy endings?" Chris grinned as the camera turned to him again. "The Killer Grips finally ended their losing streak, but will it last or will they soon find themselves heading for the infinite void of defeat once again? Find out for yourself next time! On Total. Drama. Action!!!"
