"Can you walk?" One of the men asked her.
She couldn't even shake her head.
They lifted her from the chair with practiced efficiency like moving unconscious women was routine.
They carried her out of the office and turned left instead of right, away from the main corridor. This hallway was narrower, with exposed pipes running along the ceiling and doors marked with maintenance codes instead of names. The service areas that students rarely saw.
"You sure she got the full dose?" one of them asked. "She seems pretty aware still."
"She finished most of the cup. That should be plenty."
"Better safe than sorry. We can't have her causing problems during transport."
"No additional doses. They want her coherent when she arrives."
When she arrives where? Lior tried to file away every detail, but the drug made everything fuzzy and distant. They reached a service elevator and one of them hit the button with his elbow.
"Is the loading dock clear?"
"Yeah. The van is running smooth."
