Chapter 16 - Ch16. The Wrath of Eagle Eye Gang

**Chapter Title: *The Wrath of Eagle Eye Gang***

The battle between Aryan and Nawab Sheikh had escalated to a terrifying level. On one side stood Aryan—completely alone—and on the other was Nawab Sheikh, who had unleashed not only his full strength but also all his tamed beasts into the fray. Nawab Sheikh had only one objective now: to kill Aryan at any cost. In his eyes, if Aryan were allowed to live and grow stronger, it would mean the end of not just Nawab Sheikh himself, but his entire gang. And Nawab Sheikh could never allow that to happen.

He began to resort to every dirty trick and ruthless strategy in his arsenal. But even with the odds stacked against him, Aryan triumphed. He killed Nawab Sheikh with his own hands.

After the death of his enemy, Aryan stepped toward Nawab Sheikh's body and began to search it. As he examined him, something on Nawab Sheikh's finger caught his attention—a ring. Aryan looked at it closely and noticed it was made of silver. At first, he considered ignoring it, thinking it to be nothing more than a common accessory. But a sudden thought made him reconsider. He removed the ring from Nawab Sheikh's finger and held it in his own hand, staring at it intently. Despite his focus, he could sense nothing unusual from it.

So, Aryan decided to activate his *Heavenly Library* ability.

The moment he used it, information about the ring began to appear before his eyes.

**Item Name: Storage Ring**

**Crafted by: Grade-One Blacksmith**

**Internal Space: Approximately 5 cubic meters**

Aryan's eyes lit up with excitement. A storage ring was a rare and valuable treasure. Without wasting another second, he channeled his spiritual energy into the ring.

As soon as his energy made contact with the storage ring, Aryan was astonished. Inside the limited space of 5 cubic meters was a veritable mountain of wealth. There was an actual pile of gold—enough to shock anyone. Even though the storage capacity was just five cubic meters, the space inside seemed extraordinarily efficient.

Aryan's gaze moved further, and he discovered a collection of cultivation techniques. These techniques ranged from Martial Spirit Gathering Level 1 all the way to Level 7—and in large quantities. Just for Level 4 alone, there were at least ten different techniques. While these were not extremely high-level for someone with Aryan's ambitions, it told him one important thing: Nawab Sheikh had been *extremely* wealthy and well-connected.

Aryan continued to explore the contents and found several Grade-One weapons, healing and energy-replenishing pills, and other valuable items. The acquisition of such resources made Aryan genuinely happy. After transferring the ring to his own finger and ensuring its security, Aryan decided to leave the place immediately. He knew that the area still belonged to Nawab Sheikh's gang, and if word of this incident reached them, he would find himself in deep trouble.

So, without delay, he fled from the scene.

About two kilometers away from the battlefield, a group of people arrived at the site of the intense battle. These were members of the *Eagle Eye Gang*, the same criminal syndicate to which Nawab Sheikh belonged. When they arrived, they were stunned by what they saw—signs of an epic fight, several dead beasts, and destruction all around. It was clear that something massive had occurred.

There were four people in the group, and they quickly decided to split up to investigate more efficiently.

As they began their search in different directions, one of the men stumbled upon a lifeless body. The moment he recognized the corpse, he shouted loudly for his companions to come over. When the others gathered and saw the body, they were filled with a mix of shock and rage.

It was Nawab Sheikh.

One of their gang's most important members had been brutally killed.

The sight of Nawab Sheikh's lifeless body made their blood boil. They were furious—not just because of the death itself, but because it had clearly been caused by a human, not a beast. Had it been a beast, Nawab's body would've been devoured by now.

These four men made a silent vow to avenge their fallen comrade. But first, they needed to take his body back to their base to inform their leader.

After nearly two hours of dragging Nawab Sheikh's corpse through the jungle terrain, the group finally reached their base camp—located on a mountain, where the infamous Eagle Eye Gang resided. The camp was riddled with caves, but at the heart of it stood the largest and most well-guarded cave. This was the residence of the gang's leader—**Akshay Srivastava**.

When word of Nawab Sheikh's death reached Akshay, he erupted in fury. His veins bulged, and his voice roared like thunder. Without wasting any time, he marched toward the cave where Nawab's body had been laid out.

As he laid eyes on the corpse, his anger intensified.

"Who in this cursed jungle had the guts to kill one of *my* men?!" he bellowed. "Who dared to raise a hand against the Eagle Eye Gang?!"

His rage was so extreme that anyone who made even the slightest mistake in his presence would have been killed on the spot. Everyone standing nearby grew silent and turned their gaze toward the four men who had brought back the body.

Realizing the leader was addressing them, the four stepped forward, heads bowed low, and greeted him with utmost respect.

"Leader, we offer you our deepest respects," they said. Without waiting for Akshay's orders, they began explaining.

"Leader, the four of us were patrolling an area within our territory, just to ensure no rival gang was trying to infiltrate it. That's when we stumbled upon this... this horror. We found Nawab Sheikh's corpse. Initially, we wanted to seek revenge immediately, but we feared that if we left his body behind, some beast might devour it. So we decided to bring it here first. We do not know whether our decision was right or wrong, but we accept any punishment you deem fit."

Akshay Srivastava, though still enraged, found no fault in their explanation. Instead, all his fury now concentrated on the unknown assailant who had dared to kill one of his lieutenants.

He raised his voice once again and declared, "Whoever among you finds the person responsible for Nawab Sheikh's death will receive a grand reward from me!"

As the members of the Eagle Eye Gang—scattered across the mountaintop—heard their leader's announcement, their eyes lit up with a fierce gleam. The promise of a reward stirred excitement and anticipation.

Dozens of hands shot up in the air, each eager to volunteer.

Akshay, seeing the enthusiasm of his men, felt slightly pleased. His eyes swept over the crowd and stopped at the same four who had recovered Nawab's body. All four still stood with their hands raised high.

Akshay immediately pointed to them.

"You four!" he commanded. "You found the body. Now go and find the killer. Bring him to me alive. I want the man who dared to challenge the Eagle Eye Gang dragged before me!"

While the bandits were busy hatching a plan to assassinate Aryan, he continued his journey through the jungle—unfazed and unaware of Akshay Srivastava's sinister schemes. But even if Aryan *had* known about the plot, it wouldn't have made much difference to him. The truth was, Aryan had already anticipated far greater battles in the future. Why would someone who had glimpsed his destiny waste energy fearing small obstacles?

In fact, from Aryan's point of view, this was a blessing in disguise. These so-called enemies were, unknowingly, acting as his training partners. For him, every fight was just one more step on his path to greatness.

As Aryan marched forward with fearless determination, the four assassins selected by Akshay Srivastava had also set off on their mission. Their names were **Zeeshan, Haider, Akhil, and Virendra**. Among the four, **Zeeshan** was the strongest—a **Martial Spirit Gathering Half-Level 8** cultivator, which made him a formidable threat.

However, the other three weren't weaklings either. All of them had reached the peak of **Martial Spirit Gathering Level 6**, making the group an extremely dangerous force.

Zeeshan, the eldest, was around thirty-two years old. His appearance was terrifying—his face marked by deep scars from countless battles. The others also bore injuries on their heads, indicating that this wasn't their first time working together. In fact, anyone who observed them closely would quickly realize that these four often fought side by side as a tightly-knit team.

After retrieving Nawab Sheikh's corpse and reporting back to their leader, the group set off toward the site of the confrontation once again, this time with one goal: **to track and eliminate Aryan**.

As they arrived at the battleground, Zeeshan turned to his comrades and spoke with a grim tone, "First, we need to find the footprints of the man who killed Nawab. Once we get a trace, we'll know exactly which direction he went. From there, the hunt begins."

The others nodded immediately. They trusted Zeeshan's leadership completely.

Without delay, the four began scanning the ground, searching meticulously for any signs. Eventually, they located footprints—light, deliberate impressions in the damp soil, heading deep into the jungle. They began to follow them with urgency and precision.

Fueled by a desire to end the mission quickly, Zeeshan led the group forward at high speed. After nearly two to three hours of intense tracking, Zeeshan spotted a lone figure ahead, moving swiftly through the forest.

It was a young boy.

Though Zeeshan couldn't see his face clearly at first, something in the boy's posture and speed made him pause. Could this be their target?

He gestured silently to the others to slow down. "Let's follow him carefully," Zeeshan whispered. "No sudden moves. Let's confirm first."

As they began to trail the boy at a cautious pace, **Aryan sensed them**.

Even though he hadn't turned around, he could feel powerful presences approaching from behind. At first, he brushed it off, assuming they were just travelers like himself. But then a sharp instinct kicked in. Something wasn't right.

He stopped, turned around, and faced them directly. With calm confidence, he asked, "Excuse me, friends. May I ask why you're following me so quickly through the jungle?"

There was no reply.

Instead, without a single word, **Zeeshan launched a deadly attack**.

A burst of spiritual energy tore through the air like a thunderbolt. It was fast, focused, and filled with murderous intent. But Aryan, ever alert, had already prepared for the unexpected.

With one smooth motion, he sidestepped the attack, the blast barely missing him and exploding against a nearby tree. The impact was so intense that the tree cracked in half and toppled.

Aryan narrowed his eyes.

He had been hoping for a peaceful exchange, but now he knew the truth—these men were assassins. And they weren't just any hired thugs… they were elites.

A fight was inevitable.
