Chapter 35 - [Give Me Some Face!] Chapter 33

"Anyone interested in joining our Gourmet Club? We've got top-level barbecue apprentices from the Akimichi clan right here!"

"Bug lovers, come this way! Our president is an insect-breeding expert from the Aburame clan!"

As they walked down the hallway, everyone was greeted with all sorts of cool new clubs. The newbies were so caught up in all the excitement that they slowly forgot about the earlier unpleasantness and started feeling at home in this big community.

"I should start a Service Club too, dedicated to helping everyone!" Obito thought enthusiastically, suddenly asking, "What kind of club did Senior Seiki establish?"

Shuunen pointed helplessly in one direction and said, "Just go take a look for yourself."

Obito followed Shuunen's gesture and was stunned to find a club surrounded by dozens of girls, clearly marked — Psychology Club!

At that exact moment, Obito admitted he felt jealous. "Why are so many girls crowding around there? Could it be... girls actually like such boring clubs?"

"Nope, they don't like them at all."

"Then why are they squeezing in like that?"

Shuunen patted his shoulder, speaking with a heavy tone, "Because... Senior Seiki is handsome!"

"What?" Hearing that answer, Obito almost questioned his entire life. "Is that even possible?"

He rushed over, jumped up for a quick peek, and had to admit—the guy really was just a little better looking than himself.

If that silver-haired Kakashi was like cool moonlight, then Senior Seiki was warm sunlight.

"Pfft, why am I even thinking about those two? At least Rin isn't that shallow..." Comforting himself with this thought, something was suddenly shoved into his hands.

Obito lifted his head and saw Rin standing before him, her face blushing.

"Obito, let's join the Psychology Club together and support Senior Seiki!"

In that very moment, Obito felt his heart completely break...

On another side, Shuunen was struggling to push through the crowd.

"Excuse me, could you please move aside?"

"Would you mind letting me through?"

"I need to get inside!"

"Make way for me!"

"I'm actually the super villain Shuunen Uchiha!"

His voice grew increasingly annoyed but had absolutely no effect on that group of fanatical girls. Not only did he fail to get in—he got thrown out instead.

"Am I really considered a school bully?" Standing outside the crowd, Shuunen looked confused, suddenly recalling, "If I hadn't accidentally won last year... would I already be gone now?"

Realizing this, Shuunen instinctively shivered but seemed to make up his mind about something. He cleared his throat and shouted loudly, "Hey! Looks like Seiki dropped his house key somewhere!"

"Where? Where?" The crowd instantly scattered like birds.

Taking advantage of the commotion as the girls rushed off searching, Shuunen quickly seized the chance to jump inside.

"Phew, finally made it in."

Facing him, Seiki smiled faintly. "So? Are you here again to reclaim the lost honor of the Uchiha?"

Shuunen's little face turned red. "No, my beliefs now are completely different!"

"Really?"

"Three months ago, you told me about that battle—you said we Uchiha understand love better than anyone else, but this kind of love easily turns extreme! Just like me back then—I knew nothing yet stubbornly believed everything I did was for the honor of the Uchiha clan."

"That's exactly why I say, we need to work on our mindset!" Seiki thought with a silent sigh. In his opinion, this wasn't unique to the Uchiha clan alone—it was a common problem across the entire ninja class.

In a world where children as young as eleven or twelve went off to war, it's no wonder their minds grew twisted.

Even scarier was that all the so-called "armchair philosophers" in this world preferred to think in isolation without ever talking to others, then considered themselves enlightened sages.

After all, even in Seiki's previous life, every ideology had been born through countless inspirations colliding and refining each other. No one was omniscient, and no one could be right forever.

Short-sightedness led to narrow-minded thinking—seeing just the bloom and fade of a flower and thinking you'd figured out the secrets of the universe. It was truly ridiculous.

But when these fools pack serious power, their nonsense turns deadly.

That's why those in power spread this idea: ninjas are tools, and tools shouldn't have independent thoughts.

Yet ironically, this belief restricted the exchange of ideas.

Seeing Seiki lost in thought, seemingly approving and appreciating his view, Shuunen spoke even more passionately, "However, there're still too many extremists like I used to be in our Uchiha clan. Since I can't change them directly, I can only influence them slowly by climbing the ranks. Therefore, I must become stronger!"

Shuunen saw this clearly—hadn't he only listened to Seiki's advice because Seiki had defeated him?

If he had won back then, who would bother listening to a loser's lecture?

"If you insist like this, fine then," naturally Seiki wouldn't refuse the other's request to get beaten up. Let's face it—beating someone up and still earning their thanks? That really was quite satisfying.

"But let's schedule it after today's School Festival ends."

"Why? Can't we do it now?"

"Well actually, you might want to deal with your classmates behind you first."

Shuunen stiffened, slowly turning around to see a large group of fierce-looking girls right there, cracking their knuckles while staring at him.

"Wait, I'm a school bully… Show me some respect and don't hit the face!"

Then an endless chorus of screams and wails echoed among the trees.

...

"Huff, finally finished handing out flyers," Asuma sat beside Seiki complaining, "How come so many people join such a boring club anyway?"

Seiki smiled helplessly, "Isn't it pretty impolite saying the club is boring in front of its founder?"

"Haha, come on, what kind of relationship do we have!" Asuma chuckled, throwing an arm over Seiki's shoulder, "Speaking of which, I originally thought you'd start a medical society."

"Actually, I did plan to at first."

"Seiki said with a sigh, 'However, Mizuki's inferiority complex and Shuunen's extremism made me reconsider this belief. If only there had been a place where they could talk about their feelings, maybe everything would have turned out differently.'"

Seeing Seiki's gloomy expression, Asuma clapped his hands to change the subject. "Hey! I heard many Cloud Village merchant groups have arrived at the village recently. I've never seen people from other villages before. After the School Festival, should we go check them out? There might be specialty goods from the Land of Lightning!"

"Cloud Village?" Seiki's eyes flickered slightly, then he teased playfully, "Don't most of the Land of Lightning's 'specialties' involve bars? If Hokage-sama finds out, his blood pressure will surely rise again."

"Hmph! Why does he get to peek at women in the bathhouse, but I can't even..."

"Cough cough!"
