Chapter 5 - Enigma

This world really is strange. They can use magic, aura, or maybe qi. I must grow up fast to understand everything. Lorian was thinking leisurely in his small bed.

When little Lorian is busy thinking about what he will do next? Maids are also busy babysitting him.

But before doing that.....How am I going to get rid of this embarrassment? Lorian glanced at the maids and sighed.

Perhaps a baby should enjoy its perks. Endure, Lorian, you are Adrian Skre, star actor.

Now that I have come to my senses, how did I come to this world? And how am I in this child's body? These things don't make sense. Is it even possible?

It must be some sort of miracle or something. Lorian exhaled softly, "Hhh...."

"Hey, look, young master is looking at me?" a maid said.

"Heh, where?"

"He is so cute."

Give me some peace, you fiends. Lorian was inwardly cursing them because he wanted some quiet time.

...

[3 MONTHS LATER]

"Hey, did you hear? A bishop is coming today," whispered a group of servants in the long marble hallway of Tiara Castle.

"Yes, I heard. Lord Gelard, from the Holy Kingdom," another replied in hushed awe.

"But why? Why would someone so important come here? They're like… the VIPs of VIPs," a young servant asked, his voice full of clueless curiosity.

"Rivel, you know nothing," scoffed an older servant. "I heard it's because of young master Lorian. They're coming to check on him."

A sudden chill silenced their chatter.

A firm voice interrupted them. A middle-aged man with a glass monocle stood by the ornate door, arms behind his back, his expression unreadable.

"Not just check," said the Head Butler Cornal, his voice low but clear. "They will even reveal his enigma."

When they are discussing again, a small figure turns his head, ignoring them.

Thanks to their unstoppable chatter. I come across information about almost everything. Basically, an enigma is like some divination of fate or something similar.

There is a special type of ancient rune that used to know one's fate, which works in newborn babies. Though I am not clearly sure how it works, but people in this word deeply believe this.

...

"Duke, it's been a while," said the man in pristine white priestly robes, his voice calm but laced with curiosity.

"Yes. It is my honor that you responded to my request, Bishop Gelard Mont," the duke replied, his tone indifferent, his gaze unreadable.

"How could I not," the bishop said, a faint smile curling on his lips. "Especially after witnessing the remarkable enlightenment of your daughter?"
