Cherreads

Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: Root.

There are also Yin Release and Yang Release techniques.

Yin Release enhances a person's spiritual energy, while Yang Release boosts physical energy. Medical ninjutsu is one of the most prominent applications of Yang Release.

Kaito didn't reveal the true potential or key figures associated with Yin-Yang Release. If anyone asked how he knew such secrets, what would he say?

Another reason was caution—these truths weren't meant for others to know yet.

"Train your body in the morning, and practice your clan's secret techniques in the afternoon. The combination will help you refine more chakra!"

"I'll give you your Shadow Clone once you have enough chakra!"

"Once you master Shadow Clone, your training speed will increase drastically!"

Saying this, Kaito created a shadow clone to teach Ino Taijutsu.

For physical training, that was more than enough to guide her.

After Ino and the others left, Kaito turned to Hinata.

She immediately tensed up—it was their first time alone together.

"Relax," Kaito said with a soft smile, gently brushing her hair.

"Um…"

"As for the Hyuga clan, your focus is mainly on physical combat and chakra control through the Gentle Fist. I'm not part of your clan, so I won't speak much on that."

"What I'm going to teach you next is advanced chakra control—and a physical technique I developed myself. I call it the Six Styles."

Without flinching, Kaito shamelessly claimed he named it.

"If the Hyuga's style emphasizes finesse, the Six Styles are built on power and dominance."

The Six Styles were: Finger Gun, Moon Step, Tempest Kick, Iron Block, Paper Arts, and Shave.

(Would you prefer I use English names? Or names like 'Soru', 'Shigan'...)

Kaito began demonstrating each style for Hinata.

"Watch this one—Shave. It's basically a high-speed movement technique."

He pressed his foot to the ground, and in an instant, his entire body vanished. When he reappeared, he was already several meters away. Another step, and he appeared directly in front of Hinata like a ghost.

Before she could even react, he continued. "This is Tempest Kick."

He raised his leg and unleashed a kick. A sharp, light-blue arc shot toward nearby trees.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Thick trunks were sliced clean through.

The cuts were so smooth they reflected the light like polished mirrors.

One by one, Kaito showed Hinata the remaining techniques.

She was stunned. The sheer force of these moves rivaled—even surpassed—the Gentle Fist techniques passed down by her clan.

Kaito taught her the foundations of the Six Styles, and her face turned red again.

He noticed, amused, guessing she was overthinking things again.

He pinched her cheek gently. "Alright, don't overthink it. You're not at the level to master the Six Styles yet. Focus on strengthening your basics."

"Got it!" Hinata nodded firmly.

"Now, enough about training," Kaito leaned closer and whispered in her ear.

"Hinata, Your lavender hair would look beautiful if you grew it out."

His warm breath and kind tone made her head spin.

Her already flushed face turned crimson. A light puff of steam practically rose from her forehead.

"Hmm…" she mumbled shyly. If Kaito hadn't been so close, she would've whispered too quietly to hear.

Kaito smiled with slight exasperation. "Still this shy? If we ever get married and go to the bridal chamber…"

After a long pause, Hinata slowly recovered. Kaito created another shadow clone and sent her off.

Once both girls had left, Kaito's expression turned cold.

"Come out."

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Two masked figures appeared before him.

"Ayanami Kaito, right? We're from Konoha's Anbu. Lord Danzo has summoned you."

One of them spoke in a cold tone.

Kaito scoffed. 'Don't call yourselves Anbu. You're Root, plain and simple.'

Three months had passed since Uchiha Sasuke's defeat. Kaito had assumed Danzo had forgotten about him.

Apparently not.

The "King of Schemes" never missed a detail.

"Sorry, never heard of a Danzo. If the Hokage calls, I'll cooperate. Otherwise, I'm not interested."

Whoosh!

The two Root members attacked instantly and without hesitation.

To them, Danzo's orders were absolute. Disobedience meant punishment—capture, death, or worse—unless Danzo said otherwise.

Despite the sudden attack, Kaito remained composed.

"As expected from Danzo's dogs—swift and ruthless."

Just as their attacks were about to land, Kaito vanished.

"Too slow."

A cold whisper echoed behind them.

Snap! Snap!

Two sickening cracks echoed in the air.

Neither Root member understood what happened. Their vision blurred, and they slipped into unconsciousness.

Behind their limp bodies, Kaito stood still, gripping one by the neck, expression blank.

He casually created a shadow clone to haul the unconscious agents away, then turned toward the training field where Hinata and Ino were waiting.
