I'd heard the bell go a while back. I groaned. Slowly, I picked myself up. I pulled my books out of my locker then headed for my first class. As I was heading to the class, my phone pinged with messages. I checked it. It was from the students'
group chat. I checked it. "Daisy Dunnato does a motorcycle stunt jump over fifteen cars." I read aloud to myself.
I smirked. "A once nobody jumps over 15 small cars now everyone's calling her Crazy Daisy. I crashed a car off a cliff into the ocean yet no one remembers that. So nice " Tucking my phone back into the pocket of my blazer, I made it to class.
"You're late. That's detention for you." Dolores roared at me as I walked into her class. Ignoring her, I took my seat. She growled. "Today,..." she began speaking between clutched teeth. "...we will be focusing on longitude and latitude." With that, the Maths class took off.
The day went by slowly. Brianna picked on me the whole day as usual. She tripped me in the cafeteria and I found my face in my meal. She changed the pin of my locker; I had to spend 5 minutes of my biology class cracking the lock open. That action alone ended me in detention again for lateness.
Finally, school came to an end but I had detention. As I made my way to the detention class, I was attacked again by no one else but Brianna. She decided to get my attention by throwing a can at me.
"Prey,..." she cried out in a high pitched voice, trying to sound sweet. "...so sorry. Thought you were the trashcan." "Would you like me to lend you my glasses since it's obvious you can't see clearly." I shot back. Next thing I knew, my face was stinging and my glasses had crashed on the floor. "Listen up,..." she growled while holding me up by the collar and pinning me against the wall. "...I'm warning you for the last time,...if you love yourself, take my abuses silently else you'll regret it."
"Why are you so annoyed? Aren't you the one in search of a trashcan?" I asked trying to rile her up. "I was only offering to help you. Maybe next time, you should look for the trashcan properly,...so you don't have to deal with my remarks." I smirked.
At that moment, I heard someone clear their throat. "Both of you detention. Now!" Dolores yelled. "Yes, Ms. Hart." Brianna growled, slowly letting go of me. "You're going to regret this." she whispered before going to the detention class. It took a few minutes for me to collect myself. After a while, I followed the path she had just left in. It was a very long 4 hours in detention. Most of the time, Brianna would glare at me. After a while, she'd pick up her phone and chat someone. I had a hunch I was in big trouble after this.
"Alright get your asses to your homes." Dolores said. Immediately, Brianna walked out. I followed suit. I went first to my locker to pick up a few things then I walked out of the school vesinity.
