After escaping from jail, Gu lu resumed his work of killing women. He committed two murders in Bowen in 2012 and 2013, two in Changan in 2012, two in Dundlof in 2012 and all five murders were of women.
The police started focusing on these murders again. In May 2013, the Bowen police caught mu lu. This time he was put in jail for five years.

Four days later, B city police found the body of an unidentified woman. The police started investigating the case.
Finally, the police of H city and A city talked to each other. CCTV cameras showed that the woman was talking to a man. Things became clear after examining the footage. The case was thoroughly investigated.
After this, the team investigating the case investigated the 2009 case in which gu lu was convicted. When the investigating officer saw the photos in the CCTV footage, he became suspicious.
The pattern of the murders was similar. So they started digging into old cases. After this, gu lu's involvement in these incidents was confirmed.

Gu lu's victims are lonely women. He befriends these women at shops or places where they drink toddy. He entices them in many ways and takes them to lonely places on this pretext.
There he used to fulfill his sexual desires and then kill them. In most of the cases, he killed the women by strangling them with clothes.
In some cases, he killed women by pelting them with stones. He used to steal the jewellery of these women after the murder.
