Chapter 4 - Chapter Four: The Past Revealed

Maya sat at her desk, surrounded by books and notes, as she prepared for her upcoming exams. It was hard to believe that just few days ago, She was fighting for her life against Xorvath's minions.

As she studied, her mind kept wandering back to Azazel and their battle against the demon lord. She couldn't shake the feeling that Xorvath was still out there waiting for his next move.

Her friends, Emma and Lydia, sat nearby studying for their own exams. "Hey, Maya are you okay?" Emma asked, noticing Maya's distant expression. "You've been really preoccupied lately."

Maya sighed, trying to focus on her studies. "I'm just stressed about the exams, and... other stuff.

Lydia nodded understandingly. "We all are. But we'll get through it together."

As they studied, Maya's phone buzzed with a message from Azazel. "Hey, how's it going? Got your exams coming up, right?"

Maya smiled, feeling a sense of comfort knowing that Azazel was thinking of her. "Yeah, I'm studying hard. Wish me luck!"

Azazel replied, "You got this! I'll be here to support you, no matter what."

She knew that she had to stay focused on her studies, but her mind kept wandering back to the supernatural world she had dreamed about.

But with determination. She would ace her exams and face whatever challenges lay ahead, with Azazel by her side.

One day, while studying in the library, Maya received a message from Azazel. "Hey, I was thinking we could meet up at the old oak tree in the park. I have something to tell you."

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She couldn't wait to see Azazel and hear what he had to say.

When she arrived at the park, Azazel was already there, waiting for her under the old oak tree. "Hey," he said, smiling as he saw her. "I'm glad you could make it."

Maya smiled back, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. "What's going on?" She asked, curiosity getting the better of her.

Azazel's eyes locked onto Maya's as he spoke. "Maya, I need to tell you something. We have a past, one that goes beyond this life."

Maya's curiosity was piqued. "What do you mean?"

"The other night, when I appeared in your dorm, you said you had a dream." He said.

"Yes, I did had a dream." Maya said.

Azazel took a deep breath. "Am the man, you dream about. We were lovers in a past life. You and I, we were bound together by love and fate."

Maya's mind reeled as she tried to process Azazel's words. She had no memories of her past life, but something about Azazel's words resonated deep within her,

Azazel's eyes seemed to burn with intensity. "I want you to remember, Maya. I want you to recall the love we shared, the laughter, the tears."

Maya felt shiver run down her spine as Azazel's words awakened something within her. She didn't know what to believe, but she knew that she couldn't deny the connection she felt with Azazel.

"Meet me under the old oak tree at midnight," Azazel said, his voice low and husky. "I'll show you the way to remember."

Maya's heart skipped a beat as she nodded, her mind racing with anticipation. What would she discover about her past? And what would it mean for her future?

In the midnight, Maya stood under the old oak tree, the moon casting an eerie glow over the landscape. Azazel appeared beside her, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.

"Are you ready?" He asked, his voice low and husky.

Maya nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. Azazel reached out, his hand brushing against hers. A spark of electricity ran through her body, and suddenly, visions began to flash before her eyes.

She saw glimpses of a life long past, a life filled with love, his eyes burning with passion, his touch igniting a fire within her. She saw herself, her heart overflowing with love, her soul connected to Azazel's.

The visions grew stronger, more vivid and Maya felt herself being pulled back into the past. She saw the two of them walking hand in hand through a lush garden, the sun shining down on them. She saw them laughing together, their love radiating like a beacon.

As the visions faded, Maya felt a sense of loss, as if she was leaving something precious behind. She looked at Azazel, her eyes searching for answers.

"Do you remember?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Maya nodded, tears streaming down her face. "I remember," she whispered, her voice trembling.

Azazel's eyes lit up with joy, and he pulled Maya into his arms. "My love," he whispered, his lips brushing against her ear. "My love you're back." he said as he hugged her.

In the shadow, someone is watching them.
