Ahhh!
A miserable scream tore from Jun Wu's lips as a jagged dagger plunged deep into his back.
Steel sliced through his flesh like a ravenous beast, ripping his clothes and muscle alike.
Blood welled, pooling in crimson rivers, while his skin tore open in a brutal, poetic wound of agony.
He staggered forward, sucking a cold breath, his pain blazing like it was set on fire.
He gritted his teeth, gripped his hammer tightly, and locked on the savage, rugged men around him.
Previously, he thought it would be easier to fight the Fierce Tiger Gang members with his newfound strength.
But he was wrong.
Fighting humans was entirely different from fighting beasts.
Beasts depended on their feral instincts. There weren't any tricks or feints.
It was just pure killing.
Unlike humans, who would use any means to win the battle—tricks, schemes, and even tactics.
Thus, fighting humans was a lot more difficult, and his lack of experience was obvious like an open book.
However, Jun Wu was not discouraged, nor had the thirst for vengeance reduced.
On the contrary, it was burning more brightly than ever.
"Die!"
Behind him, one of the gang wore an evil grin as he struck, the short gleaming dagger going for Jun Wu's neck.
Jun Wu reacted quickly and stepped to the side, evading the attack by a few inches.
The rugged man did not expect Jun Wu would be able to evade his planned attack but recovered quickly and wanted to retreat.
But how would Jun Wu give him the chance?
Jun Wu's eyes gleamed with ferocity as he swung the hammer. Like a raging thunderbolt, the hammer hurled through the air toward the man.
Watching the incoming hammer attack, the savage man panicked and quickly raised his dagger for defense.
Bang!
A powerful tremor spread through his arm, and he dropped the dagger subconsciously.
The force was so great that he couldn't maintain his grip on the dagger.
A groan escaped from him, fear crept onto his face. Just as he thought he'd lost all hope, he saw one of the gang launching a sneak attack at Jun Wu.
'Caught you. Stupid kid, you can now die.' A grin tugged at the corner of his lips.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Jun Wu shifted his body, guarding his vital spot while the hammer continued toward its target.
"Noooooooo!" the man cried, horror written across his face, stunned that Jun Wu would be so ruthless—using his own body as a shield.
Bang!
A dagger stabbed cruelly into Jun Wu's waist, ripping through his flesh.
Simultaneously, Jun Wu's hammer crashed into the savage man's head.
The man's mind went blank as his skull cracked apart, brain matter splattering in a gruesome explosion.
Blood, tissue, and shattered bones pooled into a bloody, chaotic mess on the ground.
Without caring about the dagger stabbed into his waist, Jun Wu turned and swung the hammer using the One-Handed Wield skill.
The man was stunned for a moment. He had just seen the brutal killing of his fellow gang member but did not expect Jun Wu to turn on him.
Still, he recovered quickly and responded with a powerful punch to meet the incoming hammer strike.
Bang!
The two attacks collided, and Jun Wu took a step back while the man retreated with trembling legs.
His right arm had turned into a bloody mess. The hammer had shattered all the bones in his hand.
He looked at his arm dangling in a mess of flesh, bone, and blood.
Fear gripped his heart like a vice. 'I need to escape from this devil.'
He thought and prepared to escape, forgetting about their mission.
But he forgot one thing—Jun Wu was more determined than he imagined.
Jun Wu had already lunged at him, swinging his hammer. This time, he used the Ironbreaker Smash skill.
The man froze, eyes vacant, terror seizing his mind as the approaching hammer loomed like a colossal mountain about to crush his very soul.
Bang!
The heavy hammer slammed into his chest. Ribs splintered into jagged shards, collarbone shattering like brittle glass.
And he was flung backward, crashing heavily to the ground.
His chest was a pulped, bloody mess—organs mangled, torn from their moorings, spilling flesh and gore.
The shattered collarbones snapped, severing his arms from his body.
His neck twisted grotesquely, turning into a gruesome puddle of blood.
Jun Wu's breathing was ragged, but his eyes burned with vengeance as he turned to face the last man.
"Just like you killed my family…" Jun Wu muttered, blood spilling from his lips. "I'll kill you too… but this time, you will die without a corpse."
The Fierce Tiger Team captain laughed when he heard Jun Wu's comment.
"Hahaha. Ignorant. Just because you killed those weak fools, you think you can defeat me?" he sneered, and his muscles bulged.
Thick veins appeared on his arms, his muscles surging with terrifying strength.
"Let me show you what a real martial artist is," he muttered and dashed forward.
His speed was swift and quick. When he was only a few inches from Jun Wu, he attacked.
Stone Chopping Fist.
His skin hardened like metal, roaring toward Jun Wu like a comet.
Jun Wu took a step forward, gripped his hammer tightly, and swung it with all his might using the Heavy Swing and the One-Handed Wield skills.
Bang!
A deafening sound echoed in the still forest, and the two retreated.
The gang captain was stunned. He lowered his head and looked at his bruised hand.
His flesh was mangled a bit, and some bones could be seen.
"How is this possible?!" He widened his eyes in disbelief.
"I'm a Skin Tempering Realm warrior. How could a mere hammer injure me?"
His eyes were filled with confusion. At the Skin Tempering Realm, he was impervious to ordinary weapons.
Jun Wu did not know what the Skin Tempering Realm was, but he was equally shocked.
This was the first person that would take his hammer head-on without getting mutilated.
He raised his head, locked his gaze on the gang captain, and dashed forward.
"Die!" he shouted and swung the hammer using the Ironbreaker Smash skill.
The Ironbreaker Smash could bypass normal defenses and stun its target.
"Humph!" the gang captain snorted, and the savage expression on his face deepened.
He put the unnecessary to the back of his mind and threw another Stone Chopping Fist.
This time around, his fist contained more power than before.
Boom!
As the hammer struck his fist, an electrifying shock coursed through his body.
He trembled, eyes widening in horror as he watched his hand explode into bloody shards.
Bones splintered and jagged, flesh torn apart in a gruesome cascade of pain.
Fear gripped his mind like a vice, and he wished to retreat. Jun Wu's power had gone beyond his imagination.
Unfortunately, his body did not heed his command. Under the stun effect, he could not control his body.
Jun Wu did not miss the chance to swing the hammer once again.
This time, he was going for his head.
