Chapter 16 - Pa pa is a famous star (16)

[When is that woman going to leave already? She's such an eyesore!]

[Exactly! She even scared baby Joshua. Just looking at her gives off a bad vibe.]

[Did anyone see her expression earlier? Full of scheming malice!]

[Can someone tell that person's fans to stop bullying Lily? Isn't it just because Joshua's afraid of strangers?]

[Hahaha how does someone like that even have fans? No looks, no talent, and no character either.]

[Poor baby Joshua, don't be scared, auntie's here now!]

[She deliberately tried to act like she knew Adonis, only to get publicly exposed by him with no mercy. What a disgrace. And to top it off, she scared the kid! She's so detestable!]

Comments were immediately flooded with the Adonis fandom's discontent toward Lily. Faced with Adonis's massive fanbase, Lily's fans couldn't even make a ripple.

Surely, it would only be a matter of time before the whole situation—Lily pretending to know Adonis and frightening Joshua with her expression—would gain traction and explode in the public eye.

"Joshua, I'm Alice. You're so adorable! Do you want to play with me?"

Alice didn't have a little brother, but she found him precious the moment she saw Joshua. Her voice grew even softer than usual as she spoke to him.

Joshua was still clutching tightly to Papa, his face tilted slightly upward to look at Alice.

Just then, the loud slam of a door being thrown open echoed through the room—it was clear whoever opened it had used a lot of force.

Footsteps thundered down the stairs, followed by the petulant voice of a child:

"You want me to stay here with a bunch of brats? I'm going home. Call someone to come pick me up!"

"Hey, kid, you can't just leave! Hey!" another voice followed after him—it was an adult's voice.

Zarukel was beyond annoyed. He had no idea why his father had suddenly made him come to this ridiculous program with his eccentric uncle.

His father said it was because Zarukel never went out, made friends, and needed to socialize more.

Friends? What friends?

Just a bunch of snot-nosed kids wanting to be friends with him?

Wasn't he already excellent enough? Why bother with friends? What a waste of time!

Zarukel had been irritated since the moment he arrived—and now, he just wanted to go home immediately.

Cale wasn't exactly in a great mood either! He couldn't understand why his older brother suddenly decided he should bring his nephew along to this program.

Zarukel had always been smarter than average since he was little. His mind had matured early, and his intelligence was no exception.

Though it might sound absurd, Cale believed that Zarukel could probably take over the Curtis family right now and handle it just fine—no mistakes.

But precisely because of that, the kid was impossible to manage!

Cale had already anticipated this when he brought Zarukel here.

If the kid wanted to go home, so be it. His idea was to come first so that big bro couldn't blame Cale for anything.

Cale sighed internally, giving up entirely on convincing his nephew to stay.

But just then, Zarukel suddenly stopped—so abruptly that Cale nearly bumped into him.

Joshua had just lifted his head from the crook of Adonis's neck when he felt an intense gaze coming from the direction of the stairs.

He instinctively looked up—

And saw a boy with striking red hair and vivid golden eyes. Despite his young face, his handsomeness was already evident. He was a good-looking kid, though Joshua couldn't quite explain why… but he looked strangely familiar...

Leo: [...] More and more unpredictable things keep happening…

As soon as Zarukel came face-to-face with Joshua, he immediately raised one hand to clutch his chest, his eyes wide in shock. Then, without hesitation, he stepped forward quickly toward the little dough ball.

That round, fair face, those pink, slightly pursed lips, and those big, glistening eyes still brimming with tears, looking at Zarukel a little dazedly—his tiny head even tilted slightly!

Before anyone could react, Zarukel had already cupped Joshua's little cheeks in both hands:

"Hey, cutie, want to eat cake with me?"

At that moment, Zarukel suddenly felt that maybe his father was right—he should make friends. And now, he had found the one he wanted to befriend.

Cale: "..." What the heck is going on?

Adonis: "..." Where did this little rascal come from?

Viewers: [Explodingggggggg!!!]

[Hahaha, wasn't Zarukel demanding to go home a second ago? Now he's been conquered by Joshua's beauty!]

[This is hilarious. He just met Joshua, and he's already inviting him to have cake.]

[Will Joshua even like this fierce little guy?]

[Too cute! Baby Joshua, looking confused, is adorable! Hahaha, he wasn't expecting such a bold approach from this older boy.]

Joshua was thoroughly confused. Being suddenly grabbed like that by a red-haired boy left him feeling awkward.

Still, he didn't pull away—just tilted his head slightly and looked curiously at the boy in front of him, softly asking:

"Zarukel?"

He remembered now. This older boy was Zarukel, son of Uncle Hades, who often fussed at Papa's temple, saying he wanted to take Joshua to the Underworld to play. But… why was he here?

Joshua was perplexed.

Leo immediately chimed in:

[Little Master, that boy couldn't be young master Zarukel. It must just be someone who looks similar.]

Joshua nodded. That made sense. There was no way Zarukel could suddenly appear here.

But because Joshua had tilted his head, Zarukel could feel the soft flesh of the boy's cheek pressing slightly against his hand. It was so smooth. And this confused expression on the little one's face was just too cute!

And how did this little guy even know his name? It had to be fate. They were destined to meet—maybe they even had a psychic connection!

Zarukel adored the feeling in his hands. Unable to resist, he gently pinched and kneaded Joshua's cheeks a few times.

Feeling his cheeks squished, Joshua hadn't even reacted when Zarukel suddenly bent down, opened his mouth, and bit his cheek!

"So soft! So cute! So adorable!" Zarukel exclaimed gleefully after taking a bite.

This immediately triggered a memory in Joshua—

The first time he met Zarukel, this boy had done the same thing. He'd grabbed his face and bit him—many times.

Joshua's perfect little face had three bright red bite marks. He'd been so frightened he cried for a long time.

Even though Zarukel apologized repeatedly, Joshua refused to forgive him and swore he'd never play with Zarukel again.

Joshua's whole body tensed. His lips trembled… and then tears instantly welled up and spilled over:

"Waaaaah hu hu hu hu!"

Everything had happened way too fast. Adonis reached out to separate the two kids, but he was a moment too late.

Now, Joshua was sobbing hard, his cheek still wet with drool and marked with Zarukel's teeth!

What is this kid, a dog?! Adonis thought furiously.

"Pa pa… hu hu… Joshua's cheek… hic… Joshua's face is dirty now… hu hu hu!" Joshua cried, sniffling and hiccupping.

Zarukel, seeing this, started to panic slightly. On instinct, he crossed his arms and frowned:

"I barely bit him! What a crybaby!"

Joshua only cried louder after hearing that.

It was the first time Adonis had heard Joshua cry like this!

The whole room immediately descended into chaos.

Cale pulled his troublemaking nephew aside to scold him while everyone else rushed over to comfort poor Joshua.

Zarukel scowled, his little face scrunched up in frustration and irritation.

He kicked a chair and stomped back to his room.
