Chapter 13 - "Mannat made a plan to escape."

Start

When Yug Bajaj reached the mansion, Dadi was sitting on the sofa in the living area with her legs stretched out.

Yug first touched Dadi's feet for blessings. Dadi, showing displeasure, pulled her feet back and turned her face away saying, "You're not my grandson. If you were, you wouldn't have done this."

Hearing such words from Dadi, Yug realized the day was not going to go well. He would have to justify everything today.

Just then, Yug's mother came down the stairs. Seeing his mom, Yug got up and bent down to touch her feet. His mother too expressed her anger and said, "You came alone? Where's your wife?"

Yug replied, "Um… I didn't bring her with me just yet, but I'll bring her very soon."

Dadi shouted from behind, "Since when did this love story begin between you two? Why didn't you tell us?"

Hearing the word "love," Yug raised an eyebrow and replied, "Dadi, it's nothing like that."

Dadi snapped back, "If it's nothing like that, how did you end up liking that girl? Where did you even meet her that you did everything in just one day? You're 28 and never liked anyone until now. You've always kept your distance from girls. And today you got married without even informing us? So much haste that you directly got married?"

Hearing such words from Dadi, Yug began thinking about Mannat for a moment. What was running through his mind, his tongue began to speak. Without looking at his mom or Dadi, he said, "Yes, she's different from other girls. I really like her attitude."

"Oh! So you like her attitude?" Yug snapped back to his senses hearing his mother's voice and realized what he had just said.

Yug left the mansion and went to the villa, held Mannat's hand and said, "Come with me." Mannat pulled her hand away and asked, "Where are you taking me?"

Hearing that, Yug stopped and, without looking, said, "Only I have the right to ask questions here, not servants," and held her hand and started walking forward.

Within minutes, they both reached Bajaj Industries. Mannat started wondering what this crazy man was planning. Why has he brought me to the office?

Yug took Mannat out of the car holding her hand, and while getting out said, "Do you remember something? This is the place where you slapped me in front of everyone. Today I'll settle that score!"

Mannat glared at him. She was both scared and anxious, yet hiding her fear, she followed Yug inside the industry.

At the reception area, where the receptionist was standing, Yug let go of Mannat's hand, snapped his fingers to grab everyone's attention, and said in a commanding voice, "Do you all know her?"

All staff members looked at Mannat. Of course, they knew her – "She's the one who dared to slap our boss!" Yug gave a crooked smile and turned his neck slightly, saying, "She's my wife. We're married. And my wife loves me very much."

After saying this, Yug looked at Mannat and smiled. Mannat understood very well that he had brought her here only to humiliate her.

Yug looked around and said firmly, "From now on, she's my personal assistant. She will come to the office with me every day. Take a good look at her."

Hearing this from Yug's mouth, Mannat glared at him and thought to herself – he's finally shown his true colors. Deep down, she began cursing him.

Yug clapped and told everyone, "You may all leave and get back to work." Then he took Mannat by the hand and led her to his cabin. As soon as they entered, Yug let go of her hand and sat on his chair like a king.

Mannat stood in front of Yug, wondering what else this man would make her do.

Yug got up from his chair and told her, "Take all these files to the godown. From tomorrow, you'll be making my schedule, arranging meetings. Learn all this as quickly as you can. Now go and make me a hot coffee."

Mannat had had enough. She was about to answer him back when suddenly her phone rang. It was Pihu calling. Just as Mannat was about to pick it up, Yug's loud voice echoed: "Don't forget your place. You're a servant. Using your phone in front of your boss?"

Listening to such harsh words repeatedly from Yug hurt Mannat deeply. She left quickly and returned with coffee within ten minutes.

When Mannat brought the coffee, Yug looked at her as if he would devour her any moment. He was thinking of more ways to trouble her. Meanwhile, Mannat's phone kept ringing. Nervously, she asked Yug, "Can I go to the washroom?"

Yug curled his lips and squinted his eyes at her, trying to judge if she was lying.

Mannat looked away, trying to avoid his gaze, when Yug's voice echoed, "Fine. Go."

Mannat ran toward the washroom and quickly called Pihu.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, ever since Yug left the house, Keshav Ji's condition had worsened. He had to be rushed to the hospital due to a second heart attack. Seema Ji and Pihu were crying helplessly.

When Mannat heard this from Pihu, her tears wouldn't stop. She said, "Don't worry. I'm coming right now."

When Pihu heard that Mannat was coming, she cried even louder, "Please, Di, come quickly. I'm really scared. Papa hasn't regained consciousness yet."

Mannat hung up the call, looked at herself in the mirror, and broke down crying. She had never imagined her life would take such a turn. Yes, she had been fighting circumstances since childhood, but today's situation was unbearable.

She thought to herself – if she tells Yug, he won't let her go. Should I just run away? Yes, that's the only way. Mannat decided to escape.

She came out of the washroom, picked up the file Yug had asked her to place in the godown, and started walking quietly. Seeing her sneaking off, Yug asked, "Where are you taking that file?"

Without looking back, Mannat replied, "You told me to place it in the godown," and kept walking. Seeing her respond like that, Yug began to boil inside. For the first time, someone was defying him—and he couldn't tolerate it.

Mannat didn't even know where the godown was, but she knew the way out. Exiting the cabin, she dropped the file nearby, rushed toward the elevator, and got in.

She exited Bajaj Industries, booked a cab, and headed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, back at Yuvraj's home, he kept asking Mayank about Mannat. He hadn't seen her since yesterday. When his family saw the news, they couldn't believe Mannat would do something like this. They were angry with her, but they didn't know the truth.

Mayank told Yuvraj, "Bhai, you don't need to worry. Maybe Bhabhi is just tired—that's why she didn't come."

Yuvraj replied, "I know her well. Even if she was tired, she would have come. She's not like other girls."

Talking about Mannat, Yuvraj got lost in her thoughts. Mayank, observing his brother, thought – what will happen if he finds out Bhabhi is already married? It's not the right time to tell him anything. I should talk to her first. It hasn't even been a day since the accident, and she's already married. Why? It just doesn't add up.

Seeing Mayank lost in thought, Yuvraj asked, "Hey, where did you drift off to? Have you fallen for someone too?"

Mayank quickly replied, "No, Bhai. I was just thinking, maybe I should go to Bhabhi's house before going home—just to check if she's okay."
